Hahahahahahaha, yes!  But, you know, some people like that sort of thing!

So, the blackmail thing that was warned about here would have people starting sexy chat, then the "woman" would ask the man to get onto skype/facetime, but instead of showing themselves, they'd stream a video of porn, or some camgirl footage, so the guy thinks they're real.   I guess it's easier for police to give "how to have safe online sexytimes" advice rather than "don't do it"!  :-)

So the advice from the police was a) remember anyone can video you at any time, and b. if you want to talk to someone on sype etc, get them to go on camera, and ask them to do something specific - like "write X on a piece of paper for me" - so you know it's a real person, not someone streaming things.  It's standard anti-catfish 101 - you don't have to go that far, just asking people Qs with unique answers etc.  But of course, that doesn't mean it's not a blackmailer, so always be very careful with who to have sexytimes with!

"Don't do it," is the least effective advice law enforcement can give anyone, on any subject. Harm reduction is the clear way to go, because people are going to do it anyway. And really aren't wrong to do so, as long as everyone is a consenting adult.

Well, poop!  I take a couple of weeks off and John locks down his FB.  Again!  He's done this before (and swiffered incriminating evidence) but has come back eventually.  FB is such a good fundraising method.

@anjulibai, Esther has access to the John Esther Shrader Facebook because she is keeping him accountable.  John seems to struggle with temptation when it comes to FB spam attacks by Lewd women.

You nailed it.  The problem is that he has no idea how to do that.

We tend to define IBLP "royalty" very loosely here but  I don't think the Kellers were ever IBLP royalty just rank and file ATI cannon fodder.  We only ever noticed them when Josh married Anna.  Back when John and Esther courted they were probably complete nonentities within IBLP - and as @formergothardite said, the Shraders had some IBLP links themselves.

I tend to think of IBLP royalty as those families that work for IBLP HQ: the likes of Levendusky, Paine and Bates obviously, and the Staddons and Wallers are closer to the top echelon than Duggar or Keller.

At least in The Poisonwood Bible, the preacher didn't despise birth control and urge his congregants to engage in dangerous overpopulation projects, swearing every sperm is sacred (my thanks to Monty Python).  When Poisonwood Bible comparisons are appropriate for one's mission, things have gone more than awry...and it's not Satan's work.  In fact, if one were to believe in a divine Creator, it might just be a message from above.

Could it be that you are not being targeted by that type of "advertisement" because you don't visit websites that are suspicious? 

Perhaps John is unaware that your computer watches which websites you visit and the information is used to target you with things you might find interesting.

John says that before he had to "biblically discipline" and "purge the leaven" from his church, they were seeing about 30 in attendance. Plus people in the community were saying VERY NEGATIVE things about his church. But now he had 40+ adults (around 75 including kids) attend his service!

Numbers don't mean anything. But his numbers were YUGE. And the new visitors are testifying to the community about the pure word of God at John's church. The conviction is evident! Much like it was for the former members, I'm sure, until they were excommunicated  Sunrise, sunset.

John and Daddy Rick have recently discovered a book that is helping them renew themselves spiritually...about FOOD. They are NOT on a fad diet or starving themselves, but have lost about 20 pounds each in the last month  Apparently Daddy Rick has started eating leafy vegetables for the first time in 66 years.
