@SPHASH,  when you wrote "If I wanted the government inside my body, I'd fuck a senator" it occurred to me that would have been a good sign for the Women's March.  I still have my sign from NARAL-Prochoice America "Keep your laws off my.."with the outline of a cat on one side and Trust Women on the other.

I expect there will be MANY more marches. If you see something that would make a great sign, file it away and use it when you need it.

Cleaning can be a very interesting topic for a blog, look at http://www.flylady.net/ or http://unfuckyourhabitat.tumblr.com/.

Pinterest is full of home cleaning tips and tricks, infographics, checklists, routines: https://es.pinterest.com/explore/cleaning-tips/

Heck, look at Marie Kondo's success with her organizing book.

Since they're such experienced keepers of the home they should teach us lazy heathens how it's done :5624795033223_They-see-me-rollinroll:

Why, that's easy:  continuously.

I've been wondering what kind of readership they really get. Most of their blog posts get no more than 6 or so responses, more or less, right? True news -- conception, birth -- brings out more, but on the whole ... who reads and cares?

I'm willing to bet that FJ'ers have become the large majority of their readers!  And I'm also going to say again, I bet Real Life around the mothership is vastly more active and enjoyable than what they blog about.

Now, why would this be? My guess: because Steve & Teri are phoning it in. They're beginning to take the odd invitation to speak, just to get some extra cash and add a trip or two to their already active schedule.

They've accumulated enough - and have gotten the sons' pledges - to provide a roof over the daughters' heads when S&T pass on to the big living room study in the sky. The sons are supporting themselves or on their way to it (Jesse).

They truly believe that their choice of career -- telling husbands to secretly mock their wives and telling parents to isolate their children -- has been the fulfillment of a command from God, and now they get to rest.

The cleaning and cooking and car washing posts are there to assure fans that they're all still alive between The Big Announcements.

Beyond that, their lives are filled with jaunts, visits, hosting visitors, what-some-call-vacations, dining out and dining in on meals that are far less ascetic than bean paste burritos.

IOW, like most Professional Life Advisers, they're living pretty well off sales and investments.

I don't believe their monklike existence posts for a quick minute. They are having FUN.

Right after they show us how to use a pizza cutter to slice lettuce.  We've been kept in suspense for too long!

You just know they wouldn't give those pearls of wisdom away---you'd have to buy the awful book.

I think those are likely, too. I can also see Ethan or Eli for a boy.

I could also see them going with a B name, like Benjamin, but only if it's a boy.

For a girl I will go with Elizabeth, Eliza, Eloise, or Eden. For a boy Benjamin seems like a safe bet.

I think if it's a boy, the middle name will be Steven. For a girl, Honor or Verity.

I figure they'll follow the theme of ABC, so D is next for a girl. I will say Danielle or Deborah. All the girls have names that give nicknames and they all have virtues as middle names. Joy was the first who sadly passed. Abigail Hope, Bethany Faith, Christina Mercy. So will say Danielle Patience, though Honor and Verity are good. Charity is good too or Chastity. Maybe Grace also, they didn't use it yet.

I'll go with Danielle or Deborah with a middle name of Patience or Grace for a girl.

For a boy I imagine they will go with B so I'll say Benjamin, not sure middle name, but I imagine a common Biblical name like Adam, Seth, Jacob, etc.

Drew was the D, though.

They were actually clever with his name - an A name and a D name at the same time.

I think if it's a girl, they'll use an E name, but it's up in the air if they will use a B or an E name for a boy.

Same for a girl though, will they use an E name (making it an alphabetised list of all their kids) or a D name (meaning Drew is too special to be listed in with the girls and needs his own list).

Maybe they'll just go for Zoe / Zander as a not-so-subtle hint to Steve that it's over, they're using condoms from now on. (One can dream).

It doesn't feel like it's been a year since you last had one of those.  Is the Superb Owl always in February?  Not being interested in sport, all I really hear about it is a bit about the ads, and nothing about who played :P

Animal Planet TV channel runs the Puppy Bowl at the same time and it's way more fun to watch.

Over here, apparently advertisers and even radio and tv stations can't use the words SUPER BOWL together unless they are paying sponsors.  There are more euphemisms for "the big football game" than the Duggsrs have for "sex." It's been no problem to me at all to ignore the whole thing.

Except I do visit the big box membership store the Friday and Saturday before - big assortment of food samples on those days!

Why don't I get a blog and take pictures everytime I vacuum or wash dishes or clean the windows (note: it should probably happen more often -- the sun shine was pretty unforgiving on my windows today)?

The important question is: does anybody actually reads their crap except for us FJ  fundie stalkers? What homeschooling mother of 5 under five takes time to watch people in their 20s&30s doing normal chores - and almost nothing else besides it?

It cracks me up every time when they call every single task a PROJECT!  Then I am a f..g Project Manager of toilet cleaner, washing, diaper changing...

Did they say that Drew was the D or is that just assumed because they call him Drew instead if Andy? Christina's nickname is Tina instead of Chrissy/Christy like many called Christina. I still stand by them using D for a girl for ABCD, and B for a boy for AB order. Will see soon either way. I just hope this will be the last for them though. They spent about 4 years unable to conceive, Their first daughter died days after birth, Abby was quite premature and spend some time in the NICU and was a c-section after Melanie spent much time on bed rest. Betsy was also premature though not as much. Tina was full-term, but was emergency c-section. Drew was full-term, but spend time in the NICU.

I will say whatever name they choose I imagine it will be a name that nicknames. All of Nathan and Melanie's children have names with nicknames and they tend to choose common Biblical names also, so don't expect they'll use unusual names like Boaz or Ephraim or Dorcas. I imagine Danielle or Deborah or Elizabeth or Ethan or Benjamin. Only thing is Elizabeth is Ruthanne's middle name, so not sure if they'll use. Though I'm unsure if Chris asked Nathan if it was okay to use Joy for a middle name for Lydia. If he didn't ask, I think Nathan should feel free to use Elizabeth as he wishes.

Will say that Nathan and Melanie make beautiful children. Those girls are going to be beautiful women. Drew doesn't seem to have the crazy Maxwell eyes and think he'll become a good looking young man as well. I just wish they could leave the fold and get a good education and a life they want instead of stuck in the cult of Steve.

Calia's middle name is Grace. Would they use it for themselves? Lydia's middle name is also Joy, but maybe they thought it was ok because Susannah isn't alive and it's a kind of tribute to her, as Lydia was born about the same time of year...

I forgot that was Calia's middle name. Yeah, no Grace. Running out of common virtue names. I figure Joy was a tribute since Lydia was born either on or around the time Susannah was born, can't recall which exactly. So, Patience, Honor, Verity, Love (lol jk, put because it's a fruit of the spirit), Humility, Charity, Chastity, can't think of any other commonly used virtue names for girls . I'm not sure what E name they'd use for a girl honestly. Elizabeth seemed most likely, but it's Ruthanne's middle name. Many nicknames for Elizabeth. Eliza, Liz, Lizzie, Beth, Liza, Ellie, etc. I think Danielle would be good if they had a girl. Can call her Elle or Ellie and they appear to be doing the ABCD theme, but then she'd have the E in there also for Abby, Betsy, Tina, Drew, Ellie/Elle. Just a thought.

New post up, by Anna. She, Nathan, Abby, Bethany and Christina went to a kinder concert. It was a "neat experience". Abby and Bethany are in long skirts but it looks like Christina's skirt is above the knee! :pb_surprised:

"Kinder" I assume meaning for kids.

Good for them that they gave the kids exposure to classical music.

I'm beginning to think you all are right, that the Maxwells do a lot more stuff than we see on the blog.
