Tomi Lahren

Good grief, Tomi crawled out from under her rock again: "Tomi Lahren Just Tried Comparing Comey's Testimony To Benghazi, And It Didn't Go So Well"

Spoiler

While former FBI Director James Comey testified today, conservative firebrand Tomi Lahren weighed in on his testimony the night previous.

Tomi tweeted this many hours before Comey even sat down with the Senate.

...

Never mind the fact that the possibility of a President being brought into power by foreign meddling, and then that same President seeking to stop the public from discovering this, is a serious matter.

Nope! This was not and is not important to Lahren.

Also, never mind the fact that Hillary and Benghazi were investigated to infinity and beyond. That doesn't matter to Lahren, either.

Twitter, however, did not let Lahren get away with her over-simplified comparison.

...

My favorite responses are:

Is she also forgetting how asshole Chaffetz let funding go out for protection in Benghazi? She is such a horrible person.

"Tomi Lahren Accidentally Proves She Has No Idea How Much Birth Control Costs"

Spoiler

Tomi Lahren has pissed off the internet again.

The conservative commentator is making headlines after grossly underestimating how much birth control actually costs for people without insurance.

Back in March, Lahren was famously fired from TheBlaze, Glenn Beck's media company, after revealing that she was pro-choice while chatting with the ladies of The View.

In an interview with Marie Claire, Lahren addressed the controversy, adding that, "like many conservatives," she isn't against birth control. However, she doesn't like federal funding going to an organization like Planned Parenthood because they perform abortions.

She also said that she doesn't think the cost of birth control is high enough to require help in the form of government subsidies.

"I can't speak for every woman, but my birth control is covered by my insurance, and if it weren't covered, it would cost $9 a month," Lahren said. "I don't know a lot of women who can't afford $9 a month. I can understand that maybe there are some who can't afford that, but I just don't think birth control is so outrageously expensive that government funding for it is necessary."

But according to statistics, the price of birth control for women without insurance can range from anywhere between $10 and $113 a month. And longer-term contraceptive devices can be even more expensive. IUD's, for example, range from $500 to $858. Not to mention the cost of visiting a physician in the first place.

Not exactly "affordable" for everyone.

Twitter put Lahren in her place right quick:

.@TomiLahren my birth control is $122 a month how dare u assume everyone can just go out and pay for it out of pocket

— édes (@izabell_a_) June 27, 2017

...

Tomi is such a freaking idiot.

Tomi is a conservative single woman -- why is she on birth control?

(and yes, I know that birth control has many uses beyond "birth control")

Just saw this poptart on Judge Jeanine Pirro.  Of course she didn't have anything substantial to say.  How is she even on TV?  She's proof that pretty girls get advantages us less-pretty girls don't.

You are correct. She interviewed at OANN for an internship right after graduating from college, and was hired to do her own show on the spot.

Tomi thought process: "Ok well my birth control is like, $10 without insurance. And everybody can afford that because everybody I know can. And even if this prescription doesn't work for you, if $10 is all you can afford then you should get on it anyway because it's in your budget and it's not as expensive as, say, the government providing healthcare. And God bless the government bank account more than God bless you (also God bless me most). Fuck ya ovaries with the side effects."

Possibly this woman is her own birth control? Ten dollars is the cost of the first round of drinks, then she starts flapping her jaws...instant birth control! Sleeping with a woman like this is DANGEROUS!

Tomi crawled out of her cave again: "Tomi Lahren Lists Her Specialty As 'Melting Snowflakes' On TV, And Twitter Dragged Her"

Spoiler

Conservative pundit Tomi Lahren coined the term "snowflake" to refer to so-called "whiny" liberals... and can't seem to let the word go.

Lahren made an appearance on Fox News Specialists yesterday and her onscreen bio was more than enough to make you roll your eyes.

... <you have to see the screen cap to believe it>

Lahren herself has made headlines in recent weeks for "snowflake-y" behavior, including, but not limited to, public spats with the likes of Colin Kaepernick over race relations and decrying the LGBT March on Washington as little more than a "Resist March" to President Donald Trump and his often incendiary policies. Twitter users mocked her for this behavior then... and they couldn't pass up the opportunity to drag her now.

...

Lahren previewed her upcoming one-on-one sit down with comedian Chelsea Handler yesterday. The two women will appear on Handler's Netflix talk show on July 29. Lahren says she looks forward to dissecting Handler's disdain for President Trump.

"I find most liberals, they don't quite know why [they hate Trump], especially in Hollywood, they don't quite know why they hate President Trump so much. They just do," Lahren said. "I want to know why."

Some of the responses are hilarious. I love the one that reads: "hot air does that" to her "melting snowflakes" comment. Oh, and, Tomi, I know why I despise the tangerine toddler. Unfortunately, there is not enough space here to enumerate all the reasons.

There probably are quite  a few reasons to hate Trump that I'm not aware of but I could list the ones I know about.  Shall I start now? I've got all day.

Pardon me for sounding a bit stupid, but didn't Fight Club coin the phrase "special snowflakes"?

My mind is always blown with so many conservatives repulsed at people who fight for our country! Like I thought they loved supporting the men and women uniform. She always pisses me off but today especially with her tweets she really pissed me off. Please tanya, I really want to see you step up and fight for this country instead of yelling on a screen.

So Tomi hates the ACA but she has healthcare on her parents' plan thanks to ACA

So she's still on her parents' health care plan? Let me step carefully here. How does this child get to address any issue in our country? Is she a savant? Is she even an idiot-savant? I'm going to assume that whomever made her "relevant" to begin with, refused to make her "legitimate." That kind of...ahem...person usually has a impediment to the fulfillment of the dreams of girls women like this. A convenient, legal impediment.

LOL, they are all cut from the same cloth, aren't they? I was thinking of how John Oliver always insists that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are actually the same person. Maybe he should assert that about Drumpfie's Angels.

So Tomi hates the ACA but she has healthcare on her parents' plan thanks to ACA

Back in May, it was announced that Tomi was working for a pro-Trump organization:

Quote

Tomi Lahren, the outspoken conservative commentator, has landed a new gig and will work with Great America Alliance, a nonprofit group that aims to mobilize grassroots support for President Trump's agenda, the nonprofit's leaders announced Monday.

The group's organizers said Lahren will use her "growing national profile" to help "execute communications and messaging strategies."

For those that follow these things, the Mercer family is involved:

Quote

The Great America Alliance is one of three outside groups vying to champion Trump's agenda. The others are America First Policies, run by several former campaign aides, and Making America Great, a nonprofit aligned with Republican mega-donor Bob Mercer and his activist daughter, Rebekah Mercer.

Great America Alliance's super PAC arm raised more than $28 million in the 2016 presidential campaign.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/onpolitics/2017/05/22/tomi-lahren-joins-pro-trump-great-america-alliance/102006120/

If you do a search for "Great America Alliance" and "Tomi Lahren", there's a picture of her on the donation page. Is this a volunteer position? In light of the fact that she's currently on her parents' health insurance policy, it's looking like she's having trouble landing another paid position that consists of putting on lip gloss, squinting at the camera and ranting.

Recently, Kellyanne Conway said that folks on Medicaid needed to bootstrap themselves into jobs that provide health insurance. Does that also apply to young blonde conservatives, Kellyanne?

Yep, just like my 83-yr-old FIL who has dementia, and my 52-yr-old cousin who was born with brain damage. Maybe Kellyanne can find jobs for them and your mom. That raggedy blond bitch can go to hell and take Tomi, Ann, and Ivanka with her.
