Jinger and Jeremy: Married with...No Children (yet)

Destiny

Recommended Posts

I've been to NZL 12 years ago (makes me feel old when I say this :-) ) and I remember people being very laid back and friendly and at the same time very strong willed. I wonder what they will think about Kiwis?

I always wonder how the different Duggar children would react to people that are very different from themselves but don't look like it at the first glance. for example an atheist that looks conservative in mannerisms and clothing or a gay couple that looks completely straight and could pass as siblings or very close friends. There are only two reactions I can imagine: being all smug and arrogant all of a sudden or just becoming confused. I always picture Josh, Jill and Jessa going all sorts of nose wrinkley and super smug when they would find out but Jinger and Jeremy seem like the people to me that would only stare in confusion and would not know what to do and say.

Haha, sorry, just a rant.

Well babies are the exception. I'm guessing they'll be visiting the zoo or s wildlife park however, and there will most likely be a "do not pick up the joey's" policy.

I have to admit I'm pretty jealous you got to hold one! Best I've done is having one following me for the birdseed I took back from them!

It's actually illegal to hold koalas in Sydney and the rest of NSW. You can touch them though in certain zoos, but at Taronga (where most tourists go) you pay extra for that.

The more "wildlife park" kind of places you can get a bit closer and pat/feed kangaroos. But you don't want to get too close. I tried hugging a kangaroo at a wildlife sanctuary when I was 9 - and copped a huge scratch to my face for my troubles. The roo did the whole stand-on-its-tail thing to really attack me properly, the bastard.

But look how adorable baby koalas are, especially when they have stuffed koala friends! How do you not snuggle them?

Well, from the whole testimony of Jeremy helping "save" someone from the "gay lifestyle" and other comments on his church website, we know what Jeremy's approach to meeting gay people would be, right?

(Genuinely don't understand how, because the Vuolos dress "nicely", people see that as proof they're not Fundy, while their own words in their preaching and on their church sites is dismissed)

It was a pretty cool experience but I would never have picked it up myself. I was pretty happy just seeing wild ones up close. And the excitment when I saw my first wild koala ... huge! It's just not the same in a zoo.

I always wanted to go to Australia when I was younger. And I really love it there. Not enough to actually move there though to my husbands disapointment. He says he found the only Swede that doesn't want to run away from the long winters. :)

I'm sure the Vuolos will miss out on most of my favourite Aussie things. We did a coast to coast road trip a few years ago that was really amazing.

Why is it all the sudden Jinge has appropriate footwear and cute-ish outfits. Granted she looks like she's ready to be a preacher's wife, but what happened to her eleventy pairs of flip flops? The mustard courting Cardi? Did Jeremy's Mom take her shopping and tell her "This is how a preacher's wife dresses." ?

That's definitely at the Opera House... I'd recognise that anywhere! I hope they went to Othello there this week!

My husband is on a business trip to NY this week.  The Australians working there like him to bring tim tams over with him.   He should be popular because double packs were half price last week, so I loaded his suitcase up.

When my friends were serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, Tim Tams were LITERALLY the currency on base. My local post office got to know me very well as I'd ship 10kg of tim tams over whenever they went on sale here. Free shipping to military bases and half price Tim Tams - best combination ever!

I've always wondered what the Duggars think of interracial relationships, so I really wonder how a Duggar would react to Othello or similar media.

After 43 years I'll finally be going back to Australia for a month-long vacation next week. Please, please tell me you still have Gaytimes! I have the best memories of eating them as a kid...

We sure do. Add them to the list of foods that JinJer won't eat, for different reasons this time LOL.

They've even got special "Cornetto Gaytimes" at the moment - gaytimes in a cornetto cone! So. Delicious..

@bellina welcome to FJ! :D

@HarryPotterFan sure, they're cute and cuddly looking . . . but like people, they got their vicious side, too.  And anytime I hear about how cute they are, I think of all the joke Tumblr posts of:
"Koala?  Kangaroo??  Hellz Noes!"

(usually paired with the following pics - which I'm hiding under a spoiler tag, because *shivers*)

I came across Tim Tams this past weekend at my local Meijer store. With all this talk about how delicious they are I'm kicking myself for not grabbing a pack to try. I'll gladly trade a pack if someone can locate some Dunkaroos for me :)

Lol, @JillyO.  what came up?  The ice cream came up first when I googled it just to see what I'd get.  Not surprising since I'm googling in Australia.  Next was a gay music festival.

Apparently, the Gay Times is a British gay porn magazine. ;)

I have no hope for Jinger. Her planned work in the pregnancy crisis center in her church killed any unicorn I had for her. She and Jeremy will be just as fashionable as they are destructive.

I work in a gay bar/cafe on the weekends and occasionally I have to replace the old issues of this with the new ones - it's quite a good read.
