For whom will the Duggars vote?

When I heard she was going to run for Senate against Scott Brown (in the seat that was long-held by Ted Kennedy), I was like YES!!!! You go girl!

Ps, I love that the thread that was about Ted Cruz has turned into an Elizabeth Warren love fest.

Another Warren fan girl. I would love to see her as VP but I think we still need her in the senate where she can accomplish things that would help make our society better off.

They could always take their "Duggar Dough", buy an island, and make it a sovereign state.

I'm a hard core Democrat, so I'll vote for Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton. I salivate at the thought of Elizabeth Warren being on the ticket as VP. My husband is a huge Bernie fan. He's probably the most liberal person I've ever met (and that's saying something). He bleeds blue. He #feelsthebern. He has told me flat out he won't vote for Hillary. So, I told him, if he voted for Trump in November, I would stop performing certain "wifely" duties. And I meant that. That's how much I despise Trump.

I'm also ultra liberal (socialist here), but the thought of Trump as president scares the hell out of me. Several of my other Bernie friends want to vote Green in the general, but... I can't do that, not with Trump as the nominee (if it were Kasich or Rubio it would be a maybe, but yeah... no)

@Alicja, I remember seeing Kasich in the first Republican debate months ago. He stood out for me because he seemed the most reasonable and level-headed (at least standing next to all the crazies on stage). I agree with you completely. My husband is the definition of a democratic socialist, but sometimes I just want to scream at him, "I don't care if you think HIllary is a crook. Look at what the other option is!" He just loves Bernie too much, and I get that. But, I also have to acknowledge the rabid-fervor that is for Trump. Ack.

Based on the polls I have seen on the TeeVee, I Do Believe, that Hillary will be the next president. Donald Trump is 69, filthy rich with a much younger, gorgeous wife and a ten year old child. I can't imagine why he wants to do this. He should just enjoy his lavish lifestyle I think. He is not taking my calls.

Would not take long to populate it with the way duggers breed.

From Facebook:

Sarah Palin said she would not be Trump's VP contradicting a report in the Book of Revelation.

Dammit, that would have been a dream come true for 19 cats and counting the Democrat.   And selfishly I want her to stay relevant because I have a killer Sarah Palin Halloween costume.

When I was a senior in college (right at the time of the 08 election) some girl dressed up as Sarah Palin with a parasailing contraption on top. Get it? Sarah Palin parasailin.' God bless the Iowa City bar scene.

I first dressed up as Sarah Palin while campaigning for Jon Corzine in 2009 (that was fun).  I got the red jacket and black pencil skirt at Goodwill for $5 and found a pair of dollar store reading glasses that resembled hers.

In 2014 I wore the costume again and barely anyone knew who I was.

ETA she also needs to stay relevant because I want Tina Fey to destroy her again.

I'll take Fox News relevant. Because god forbid she's actually relevant for actual politics that affect my daily life.

I don't know about any fundies here in Nebraska, but I personally voted for Rubio today (his name was still on the ballot). I've heard too many stories from DC friends about how horrible Cruz is and I'd only be able to vote for Trump once without rocking myself in a cold shower muttering "Unclean...unclean"

Those people have enough issues without adding in breeding to the mess.

Picture little conservatives ala Deliverance style

I lean Libertarian.  I have some family and friends who are completely anti-Hillary, and some that are completely anti-Trump.  I'll be voting Libertarian.  They are all mad at me for it.  LOL

Gary Johnson for now.  Only because he isn't creepy like McAfee and I think he is "main stream" enough to be able to compete.

I also consider myself a pretty stanch Democrat; I would LOVE Elizabeth Warren as a VP candidate. As a Bernie supporter, I would vote for Hillary in November because there is no way in hell that oompa-loompa idiot should ever be even this close to the presidency.

I can't decide if Trump is oompa-loompa orange or cheeto orange. Or maybe the shades of orange are too similar to matter.

That said, I love Cheetos and oompa-loompas freak me out. Especially the ones in the Johnny Depp version.

They could vote for the American Independent Party candidate, since despite the name, that party pretty much fits what the Duggars believe in, anti-gay, anti-women, etc. This party became newsworthy as many in California who thought they were nonpartisan were actually registered as American Independent, including some celebrities.

As for myself, I think of Hillary Clinton as the lesser of two evils in November, because there's no way in hell I'm voting for the guy who as someone on Facebook said, looks like he'd been held face down in a vat of Cheeto powder.

Maybe the Duggars, et al, should just pack up and move to Texas. With all of their new legislation/ideas, etc:, the Duggars would fit right in with Texas....they might even try to secede from the United States......SMH!

Let me look around a bit, and I will try to find the link to what is evolving in Texas.....scary stuff!

Seriously. They've been active in Arkansas Republican politics, and they're not clearly going to vote for Hill-dawg. I sort of assumed they would be the kinds of evangelicals to put all rational thinking aside and vote for Trump because he recently pretended to be pro-life and appeals to the "prosperity gospel" mindset. But I'm wondering if tonight's revelations are a bridge too far.

ETA: Have they made any statements? Has this been discussed elsewhere?

I think they'll still vote for Trump. As vulgar as he is, Trump tells people like the Duggars exactly what they want to hear in terms of "making (white) America" great again.

I tend to think they won't vote because they won't get any attention for it. They haven't spent the election year traveling around in a bus trying to get a super conservative elected so I lose my rights to my own uterus. So they likely don't see a reason to vote.
