Questionable Chrislukas post on the TLC forums

I was checking out the TLC forums and to see the discussion about the Bates family not having insurance and eventually the discussion turned to gender roles in QF famlies and chrislukas made the following comment regarding the Duggars

community.discovery.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/76919343101/m/17919382901/p/5

Yes, the younger boy's do have inside jurisdictions, the books talk about it too. Of course there will be those who will say, "I don't believe the books" but then they'll believe the TV show which is scripted by TLC to gain viewers.

I find that reply to be a bit vague. It sort of seems chrislukas might be saying that some people think the show is scripted or staged and she thinks the show is completely real or maybe she actually believes the show is scripted or staged. I just found that comment weird. She is whackdoodle as we have said in other threads.

If she think the show isn't partially scripted to staged, she is naive. Reality shows are never completely real. Eventually TLC production crew employees are going to go public and talk about how some parts of the show were staged. Some people who worked for E! have gone public about Keeping Up with the Kardashians and former MTV employees have admitted that several reality shows were staged and even one of the Teen Mom girls said parts of her 16&Pregnant episode were reacted.

From her grammar usage, I'm reading that she does believe the show is scripted, and in a negative way. IOW, people won't believe the Duggars but they will believe TLC's presentation of the Duggars, which she believes is a negative presentation.

I agree her grammar usage does make it seem that she believes the show is scripted. But with her, she has always defended some of the stuff the Duggars do on the show.

Although TLC themselves haven't come forward yet, Josh, Anna's BIL, did admit that the "sex talk" during the wedding special was staged and made people sign waivers in order to be part of the wedding. Here's the insight for those who have not read it:

As for Chrislukas' comment, eh, she's very defensive of the Duggars. She always has an answer to everything and comes up with excuses for their behavior. I remember when we talked about the girls rolling their eyes at an Ethiopian restaurant and her defense was "Teenagers do that all the time." I know she thinks the show is stages but doesn't like it cos she believes the producers shows them in a negative way rather than positive way.

Standard chrislukas response: "The show only shows 1% of the Duggars' lives. We don't know what goes on the other 99% of the time."

And yes, she does think it is scripted. Then she'll go on to defend every and anything they do, demanding proof for any disparaging remarks. Yet, if she disagrees with anything another poster says, she will give some anecdote about a "friend" of hers, which she expects everyone to believe. Of course, if someone presents an opposing view, and tries to back it up with credible evidence, she claims you can't believe anything you read on the internet.

Pure misery.

I can't believe there are 2 threads about her. I'm sure she would be so proud of herself

She had friends for almost every situation that was posted on the forum.

In her eyes, the Duggars can do no wrong. It bothered the crap out of me whenever she would ask people to provide proof, yet, would shoot it down if it's from the internet. Her proof was always her "friends." That's the biggest reason I stopped posting on that forum. That and the moderator would constantly edit all of my posts: my thread on the Duggars supporting hate groups mysteriously disappeared.

I think that is what is confusing with chrislukas. She defends some of the stuff that happens on the show. I just found her statement to be vague and that is why I made a thread to see what others thought about it. But there are other Duggar faithful fans who actually do believe everything on the show. I have seen people on twop and IMDB defend everything see on the show and they believe it to be true.

      Stupid loneliness!
Kid 1 went back to college (yeah! But sad foe me, she stayed with me all summer. It was nice to start a new phase in our mother/daughter relationship)
Zero prospects on dates. (Not that I have tried online dating, scared of that but I have reached put to a new group at church, etc.
I asked a friend to go to dinner the other night so I wasn't eating alone, again. The friend had plans, all my friends always have plans. I see stuff on social media, I'm never invited. I'm single, I'm the 3rd or 5th wheel.
My one parent friend at kid 2's fall sport won't be there because their daughter made varsity (Yeah for her!!! Seriously happy for her. Sad for me for another sport I basically sit alone, did that majority of spring and summer sporting events.)
And now I'm crying as my mom told me 2 different funny stores that former teachers remembered about my twin. Both stories were about how they got a crack out of my twin's antics (my parents went to a funeral today and saw former colleagues). Teachers remember me (after all I was a twin and teachers' kid) but none would have memorable stories of me.
      I feel invisible.
Don't worry, this will pass,  it always does. I just need a pity party for a few days. I'm not in anyway going to harm myself. As lonely as I am, I have a very full life I (usually) love. I just needed to vent and cry for a moment.
If you are still reading this, thanks Fjer. 😊

Absolutely awful about the fires on Maui. In 2019, I stayed in Lahaina. I liked to sit on the sea wall, which is the only structure left now, and watch the water. People are receiving help, but many had to leave pets. Please donate to the Maui Humane Society, which is leading efforts to find, treat, and reunite pets.

Nebraska’s new football coach, who is involved in an organization called Man Up Ministries, labels certain players “Alphas” and sometimes “extreme Alphas” and the local paper has a nice piece on why people objecting to the term “alpha male” are wrong and it has a “nice ring”. 🤮🤮🤮🤮
