Did they sell the big J/Der house?

Do you think Derick is going to read the new CDC guidelines on Zika that just came out?

http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/65/wr/mm6512e3.htm?s_cid=mm6512e3_w

"Men who have traveled to or reside in an area with active Zika virus transmission and their pregnant sex partners should consistently and correctly use condoms during sex (i.e., vaginal intercourse, anal intercourse, or fellatio) or abstain from sex for the duration of the pregnancy...

Couples in which a man traveled to an area with active Zika virus transmission but did not develop symptoms of Zika virus disease should consider using condoms or abstaining from sex for at least 8 weeks after departure from the area.

Couples in which a man resides in an area with active Zika virus transmission but has not developed symptoms of Zika virus disease might consider using condoms or abstaining from sex while active transmission persists..."

That house was for real sold; I think it was turned into a business office of sorts? The listing was posted on here a while back. The J/A fixer-upper was sold to a trust so I suspect Boob/Josh still holds that property. They also have the guest house that's attached to the main house as seen in Pecan/Pris blog posts. So there's two options.

I don't think that Derrick will ever go back to a real job, if he can avoid it. He and Jill will come home, "adjust" to being back by doing nothing for months, and then start formulating whatever new plan they have to grift and not get a real job. I am not sure how many times they will go back to the missionary field and it's obviously they didn't really do anything and it doesn't seem like Jill seemed particularly happy. I always thought that it wasn't what Jill expected it to be. Plus, I don't think that either of them actually want to be the type of missionary that actually does real work to help people, instead of trying to turn Christians into another form of Christians.

I know several older married women who were furious when Viagra came out. There they were, enjoying the sex free life with no male whining about it, and boom, their men can get it up again.

Normally I wouldn't find this as funny as I just did. But I spent over six hours in the ER last night for extreme nausea and vomiting - so this made me crack up. I definitely had a few not so nice things to think about Velocibaby in the midst of my suffering.

And now I'm sipping lemonade iced tea and snacking on pickles. Because that's what I can stomach. The pickles are the one and only thing I will ever thank the Duggars for - they're REALLY good at curbing my nausea. :pb_lol:

Hang in there. Don't be afraid to ask for zofran from your doc if it keeps up. I had hyperemesis. Zofran didn't cut it and I spent almost my whole pregnancy on phenergan. I wanted to punch all the people who said it would go away soon. At 30 weeks, I was still vomiting multiple times per day without drugs

If only masturbation wasn't so ebil. Then Derick could calm down on the sex for awhile, which will do them a world of good. I cannot see them raising a microcephaly baby without it becoming a three-ringed circus.

I can't imagine too much worse than a sex free life when that ain't what you want ! No matter the age. My ex lost his ability to perform even with Viagra, so the current Mr. Beach is making up for lost time. I'm sixty, and maybe I'm just a horndog. :cat:

@VelociRapture......congratulations! SO very happy for you. I'm going to jump on the suggestion bus and say cherry jolly ranchers saved me.....and a glass of ice. I'd let it melt enough for a swallow or two and drink the iciness. Tap water or regular ice water were not cold enough to keep the nausea away.  Keep us posted on little VR....and hoping the nausea ends soon.

Anyone see Jill's tweet about wanting to find Cathy's birthmom? The end when she says "Israel wants to meet his great grandma" was so weird. I have personal views about this because my mom was adopted. Sometimes I think it would be cool to find out some info about my blood relatives but I have no desire to meet them nor does my mom because they aren't family they're just people we are blood related to. Idk Jill is just really stupid imo and has no idea how society functions. She's like a 15 year old mentally.

Also who looks for their birth family in such a public way? Like they probably don't wanna be all over the tabloids like the dirty duggars! Jill seriously has zero manners!

Oh yes! I had my boys at 29 weeks, but by that point I was up every single hour over night to pee. I know people who have delivered twins at 40 weeks, I cannot imagine what that is like AT ALL. Seriously, some people carry two 7 pound babies!!! WTF.

My friend had two sets of twins. First ones at 38 weeks, second ones at 39. All of them weighed over 6.5 lbs. She was pretty miserable at the end both times. She just had big babies. She had three singletons, too, and the smallest of them was nearly 8.5.

@PecanThief, that thing about wanting to find Cathy's birth mom so that Israel will know his "real" great-grandmother bothers me, too.  My oldest daughter has one adopted daughter and will shortly have another.  (They will go to China to pick up their daughter this summer.)  These granddaughters are just as "real" to me are the granddaughters two of my other daughters gave birth to.

ETA:  I was going to post that I read this evening the the first case of a baby with ZIka caused birth defects was born in New Jersey.

That's very strange.

Israel is an infant. He doesn't "want" to meet his great grandmother - he doesn't even know what a great grandmother is. He doesn't know about genetics, or where babies come from. He will have no concept of or interest in biological relatedness for many years to come. (And this may never be something important to him.) It's kind of sad to me that a grown woman feels she needs to put the words in her baby's mouth rather than just expressing her own emotions and desires.

I wonder how Cathy feels about all this. Shouldn't her feelings and wishes be the most important, not what Jill is pretending Israel feels?

I also wonder if Jill has considered the possibility that Cathy's biological parents may no longer be alive. To be blunt, Cathy is not a young woman anymore, and is at an age where people's parents are passing on. If they are living, they also might not be interested in contact, or interested in acting the role of great grandparents to a child they have never met. Either way, Jill might not get quite the reunion she's hoping for. The Dillards still might get some good genealogical or genetic information, but it doesn't sound like Jill's expectations are entirely realistic. There's a chance she might get a pretty harsh shock she's not at all prepared for.

I don't know what they are expecting. They are looking for a 90 year old woman that gave up a baby for adoption in 1957 at the age of 31. If she is still alive, i doubt she wants anything to do with cathy. And i doubt the woman would be happy knowing that his bio grandson's airhead lf a wife is posting her name and birthdate on twitter just to see what happens

A lot of people.  A while ago my FB feed blew up for months with people publicly searching for their birthmothers (I'm not in the US, these things went viral). I'm pretty sure it was after some states started releasing [partial] original birth certificates to people who were adopted.  HuffPost had an article about it.

OT, but I have to share. My sister, at 60, was dating a guy she was crazy about, but he was CHEAP.

He's take half a Viagra, b/c if they last four hours, his reasoning was two hours would be plenty.

Doesn't work that way!

What the fuck. I have so many thoughts on this issue (Jill searching for Cathy's birth mother), I don't even really know where to start.

I guess I'll start with this: Cathy didn't post anything to indicate she was looking for her birth mother. I really hope this was her idea, and not some stupid shit Jill came up with. Second of all, this woman would not be Israel's great-grandma - the woman who raised Cathy is/was. It makes me really mad the way these anti-choicers pretend like adoption is the solution to all problems pregnant women may have and then don't even accept the validity of adoptive parents' parentage. I'm kind of worried Jill believes Gothard's sins-of-the-father crap and that's why she wants to know Cathy's biogical parents (to see if they pass her good Christian test). Ugh. Also, many people who give their children up for adoption do not want to be found. And even if they do, I doubt many want to be found via some ingnorant little twit's Twitter account with too damn many followers. I guess I'll end my rant here. Excuse my incoherence; Jill Dillard makes me all kinds of ragey.

I think Jill crossed a line. I think if Cathy wanted to find her birth mother, she would have done it already. Jill may just be using any thing she can for clicks at this point, just like that video she posted asking about parenting advice for Israel.

Seeing this post though makes me wonder if Derrick had been the one who was adopted if he would even gotten close to courting Jill. I bet JB would have considered him suspect. Maybe they (JB & company) didn't find out Cathy was adopted until it was too late.

PIckles has info on her page, including the gravestone. I think Jill is invading Cathy's privacy. She has no boundaries. I really like Cathy. She is low key and I just like her. And thanks to Jill her only so far, grandchild, is living with Cougars and tarantulas in scary CA.
