Some things just cannot be tolerate at all. Some things are just very very wrong. Hurting children and young adults is very very wrong. Wrong.

Francis has done nothing progressive, he just looks and acts like he does!!! He did good work with the poor in Buenos Aires while he was priest, archbishop and cardinal. That is true.

But they all sweep this under the rug.

Wrong.

I can’t find much about it in the secular press, but a number of Catholic bloggers are discussing mishandling of sexual assault cases at Christendom College:

(this is the female blogger who first broke the story)

For those of you not in the know, Christendom College is one of the “new Catholic colleges” that were established after Vatican II as conservative/traditionalist alternatives to the perceived “godlessness” of schools like Norte Dame, Fordham, and Georgetown. Christendom’s curriculum is unabashedly Eurocentric and based on the Greco-Roman Catholics (I don’t know whether it’s accredited or not). Like a lot of super conservative schools there are strict rules about how the sexes should interact. And unsurprisingly, Christendom doesn’t know how to deal with students who have suffered from sexual crimes. This post by a young woman raised in the Catholic traditionalist homeschooling world and has a brother who went to Christendom is good for context:

http://www.patheos.com/blogs/suspendedinherjar/2018/01/whats-amiss-catholic-sexual-education/

“...a deep, dangerous naivete is instilled in young women in these sheltered worlds. We are not taught how to protect ourselves against young men who will use and abuse us; instead, we are taught to avoid the lustful men outside our little ideological bubbles, the men in the world, and to stick with the Good Catholic Men at places like Franciscan. Places like Christendom. Places where the value of consent is rarely mentioned.”
