Josh hiding from the ebil media--part 15

Josh doesn't want to keep his head down, work hard and support his family. He wants to be the famous hate group speaker that gets to take pictures with politicians. He isn't going to want to go backwards in life. He was always smug and thought he was better than everyone else because he knew the "right" way to live. No way has his attitude changed.

... Well not really, they wouldn't get away with it. But is it possible he is kept drugged up in that warehouse guest-house of theirs? I agree he is not a priority for paps, but someone locally would surely recognise him. It's distinctly odd that there have been no pics since... August?

This. I highly doubt Josh realized he was in over his head in Washington. I'm sure he believes he is totally qualified to be a lobbyist and "executive" and assumes that once this dies down he can ascend again. Alas in his world many "sinners" who fell from the heights emerged to get rich and powerful again after they "reformed" and I have no doubt he plans to be one of them  eventually

That is indeed a bit odd. Knowing that the Duggars usually have no grasp on how to handle such situations appropriately and then wonder why everyone is outraged, I would have expected that they show up with Joshley and expect everyone to be fine with him.

Maybe they now have some sober-minded advisors they actually listen to, or TLC has made it clear that they can't show up anywhere with Joshley since they don't want to lose any of the remaining sponsors.

This had piqued my interest too. Since Counting On started they've definitely been soliciting feedback in a way they haven't before. Many more posts on FB asking visitors to leave their comments, as well as noting that they do read the comments. 

The last family newsletter, apparently penned by Jinger, was also just a call for feedback on this week's show. Wonder WHO is really reading the comments?

I do wonder what has happened to the perv.  Surely he would have to go out somewhere.  He can't hide in the TTH forever. You would think someone would have at least got a pic on their phone by now.   Maybe he is tied up in the new tree house.

Has anyone mentioned the big life changing event could be that Michelle is pregnant?   

My sisters daughter-in-law got pregnant naturally at age 50.  They already had a 5 year old which they conceived through in vitro fertilization because they had tried so long to conceive.

Sorry I haven't followed super close the last couple days so may have missed something . How do we know he for sure wasn't there?

I think that, because Josh runs on Duggar time, it would be damned difficult for him to keep a job he didn't snag based solely (or even mostly) on being a Duggar. Outside of Fundie Camelot, most people aren't going to put up with his chronic tardiness...or his smug attitude...or his utter inability to think critically. Not for long, anyway. 

So in that sense, I don't think he could keep, for long, any non-Duggar-connected job he managed to snag assuming that he even tried to become gainfully employed in the first place. 

All of this is Josh's problem; I'm certainly not trying to excuse his choices as an adult.

If it is Michelle, I would hope she'd wait until the baby is viable before she announces. I don't want to see another funeral in an ammo box, or hear"The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord." Not snarking for the loss of Jubilee, just the way they handled it.

Let's remember that this is the Duggar version of a life changing event, so it's likely pregnancy or courtship. Nothing else changes in their life other than the number of kids in the home. If they had something super exciting such as someone going off to a real college or getting a real job, they would have highlighted it earlier. It's obvious they don't have very much of interest going on. When have they every shocked up with a life changing event, other than the actions of Josh?

I agree with this completely. I do not fault them at all for grieving the loss of a wanted pregnancy. Even so, I still see the public media circus funeral complete with a "eulogy" that was more of an anti-abortion stump speech than a loving tribute as pretty crass attention-seeking.

I think that they are not ready to forgive Josh.  The timing of AM right after they had been defending him right and left really shook them.  The molestation stuff had been part of a family secret that everyone shared. But this was a secret he kept from them.  He deceived them; he made them look foolish.

I also think that Josh has been put to work by JB, not selling cars but cleaning and fixing them up for someone else to sell.  I think he probably works mostly from home and is expected to pray and read the Bible when he is not working or interacting with Anna and his kids.  

This is supposed to be the follow up on his rehab. There is some sort of RU group that meets regularly like AA groups do.  Supposedly, he would be going to these.  

The family is not going to try to sneak him back into the public eye until they can use his "reform" to strengthen their brand.  Right now he is a liability, as others have said.  I don't think "they" are hiding him. They are just not encouraging him to be visible.

Now, if TLC or someone else offered them a chance to show their Christian forgiveness or market Josh's repentance or somehow get positive exposure or cash or both, they might bury their feelings and do the whole public forgiveness thing.  But unless that happens, I think the Duggars will wait until more time has passed before they bring him forward.

@EmCatlyn  You hit the nail on the head....he made them look foolish because their Most Wonderful Courtship stuff didn't work. Not that anything works all the time, but this was a public failure by their oldest golden child. I think it is a disaster and I really can't imagine the scenario  that would bring him back to the public eye. A molester who cheats on his wife. Kind of a  bottom feeder......ouch....

It is not just the failure of the "courtship" stuff. It is that he was exposed as a hypocrite.  At the time when they were defending him as a "changed man" after the molestation scandal, he was secretly viewing porn and seeking affairs through AM.  

I don't think they see Josh's infidelity as an indication that "courtship" as they practice it is not the best idea. I think they see it as a sign that Josh was weak.  I think they assign responsibility to Anna for not "understanding" him better, but I don't think they see that in marrying him off to Anna the families made a mistake.  

What is interesting about the Duggars is that they don't seem able to see the big picture.

You guys he's been spotted in Tennessee. A lady in a huge moms group on Facebook had him walk in to her restaurant on shift and had to smile and make nice. I'm mining the post for more info. Someone told her to send it to pickles. She is not a humper and has no reason to fake this

Ok, I can't share posters photo. But she sent it to pickles and hairspray, so maybe we can all see him that way. His right forearm is a lot more muscular then his left, looks like he's been doing manual labor.   If that pic doesn't resurface then I know more will soon as he's out in public again.
