I think Josh is going to remain AWOL for the foreseeable future. He's nothing but a liability for the "brand," and the show is already suffering from being dull as dishwater and the fact that non-fundie/non-leghumper viewers aren't giving the Duggars the benefit of the doubt anymore.

Damn, Duggars. Somebody has to give props for those hide-and-seek skills. There still aren't any photos of Josh, even poorly captured ones.

Maybe there is no one around sufficiently interested in getting a picture.  If only they would allow Amy to visit!

I'm starting to wonder if the press have no appetite for photos of him. There's been a couple of grocery store sightings (if they're true), if that's the case then it's possible that either 1) There isn't a bank of paparazzi sitting outside the TTH or 2) The press have been offered photos but don't want to publish/pay for them.

I think it's a bit of both - he is in hiding and the press don't totally care unless People magazine want's him and that would cause more controversy - I mean we are talking about a molester  - do you think they would willingly do an interview with the subway guy ?

I think People and others would interview anyone if they thought it would sell magazines. Joshy's long journey from the dark to redemption.

I wonder about People magazine as well.  They've become the Leghumper magazine.  They have set themselves up to keep sweet and have access as long as they're publishing happy-fluffy-the-duggars-are-wonderful pieces.   Were they to publish a real story about Joshley--where he's been, what his rehab really was about, what he can possibly do moving forward--they probably wouldn't get access to the rest of the family.

I'd think In Touch would be willing to purchase a picture.

You mean Big Sandy? I think that is in April so soon enough. I doubt he will make an appearance because he has committed THE Ultimate Sin (other than publicly becoming an atheist): of course, it is not molesting your 5 year old sister, but watching porn and cheating on your helpmeet. I think people on the conference would pretty much like to crucify him for betraying their beliefs.

I doubt also that he would appear. He has been "globally" shamed, as it were. But I do want that picture. Waiting for that rogue photographer.

I didn't mean as a speaker, I am curious if he will attend with the rest of the family and he might end up spotted in various Big Sandy pictures on instagram.

The Big Sandy conference is April 19 - 22.

No Duggars listed among the speaker lineup.  Looks like the big headliners are Gil and Kelly Bates.  David Waller is also on the lineup for live speakers.

Sorry, I worded my response badly. I, too, meant him as a regular visitor, not a speaker, at least not this soon. Maybe next year if he really is going to make a living as a "reformed sinner".

the Duggar family is listed at the bottom of the page as a "participating organization", so I bet most of the family will be there. I wouldn't be surprised if Josh goes with the rest of the family just so he can be forced to attend all the classes in hopes that it will help reform him.

I think to get a story in a magazine like People he is going to have to prove himself in the real world for more then a few weeks. People and other magazines don't want to run "Josh is cured" only to find out he is a strip club a month later. Unless the show is stupid enough to have some vow renewal or episode with Josh that People wants to promote, I doubt we see a big interview with him before the 1 year mark.

I'm starting to guess that the Duggar goal is that we don't see ANYTHING of Josh until the contract is signed on another Counting On season, or more specials, or even another series on another channel if all else fails. He's their PR ace in the hole, very much in a "no news is bad news" sense.

I wonder if they still allow Amy to visit given that she's been quite vocal about the duggars in the media since she married Dillon.

Just a guess but maybe TLC/the media/UP pays them as an organization and sponsoring Big Sandy is a tax write off. Kody Brown and the sister wives were paid under Brown family Entertainment as a unit. Kate Gosselin and the family  (back in the days married to Jon) was paid under Gosselin family LLC.

My daughter is very involved in Math and Science events and our school has a 0 budget for these. The team was going to a state competition  and it was going to be cancelled over $150. My husband just took the money out of his wallet and put it in the office and the secretary came running down to ask about his giving him his tax slip for his business. My husband declined and the secretary said she never got a donation that didn't need a tax slip. She spent some time trying to enter the donation and said she didn't know how so finally my husband said put it under his business. Now I looked at the state event and my husband is listed under organziations. He is a very small business , just him and a small office space but he was listed under organizations like Walmart!
