Buzzard's predictions for exciting Duggar happenings this season: - Izzy crawls - Ben and Jessa make goo goo faces and babble at spurge - Izzy and Spurge facetime - Jessa goes shop

Jessa. Seriously. I know that being the parent of an infant isn't easy, but this is such a tone deaf comment considering how much easier her life is compared to that of most new parents.  Th

I interpret her to mean that the sting of criticism is no longer raw and they are ready for more paychecks. They've got their game plan revamped and can't wait to show America how much stronger and be

From the previous thread:

I thought the same thing at first. I thought the teepees were supposed to be overalls, so I wasn't getting the theme and I couldn't think of any other way the arrows might relate to babies. I had eventually decided that they were supposed to be Cupid's arrows rather than a phallic symbol till the other thread clued me in.

My first thought was they were some kind of cutesy, PG13 phallic symbol, since it's a baby boy.:my_blush:

No way the Duggars know what the ides of march refer to.

LOL!  Can't you just imagine Michelle teaching Shakespeare at the kitchen table! :pb_lol:

Vehicle is actually a very fitting song for Counting On, since it's about a creeper luring girls into his car. It's like a metaphor for Gothardism in general or Josh in particular.

Duggars doing Shakespeare would be epic! Thank you for that hilarious image.

I think the Willis Family second season premiers that same night on TLC. Their J-named kids are such a contrast to the Duggar brood. (And they are far more talented, IMHO.)

With my bingo card on one side, and my screwdriver/Cape Codder on the other, I should be just fine and dandy. :P

Josh named his kid Marcus Anthony... they probably think Romeo and Juliet is about the song of solomon.

It is.  I believe that's the date that Counting On airs.

I haven't been around much lately. Haven't had time to keep up with all of the Duggar threads so I thought I'd jump into this new one.

My interest is piqued with the post above. What is that about?!

I wonder which of the 3 episodes they'll rerun. I didn't watch them before, I just read Buzzard's recaps.

That sounds like possibly a bunch of recycled footage edited together with talking heads like they did for the tribute to Jill's glorious life that they aired before her wedding episode. I hate that TLC loves to do that.  Could be an over-hyped clip show comprised of jill and jessa scenes from old seasons, the recent specials, and then a montage of teaser clips from the new show.

My uncle just died from COVID. He wasn’t that much older than I am, so I kind of grew up with him. Just ten days ago my mom had been pleading with him to get vaccinated, but he wanted to wait to make sure the shots were really safe. I’m kind of devastated.

I just found out my little bonus kid is in a treatment center on a suicide watch tonight. He and I share a hobby and a couple weeks back he opened up to me that he's severely depressed and was wanting to hurt himself. I let his parents know and thankfully he had also been talking to them. I'm just heartbroken because him being in this center means that his parents had to call 911 and have him admitted and I know that was so hard for them to do. He's a young kid and has his whole life ahead of him but just wants to end it all and I don't know how to help him.

Middle aged woman with mommy issues...but missing her today.
She got so much wrong with me, but she had the best intentions and tried so hard.
She got so much right, too.  I forget that sometimes.  Sometimes I remember and dismiss it out of spite.
“They did the best they could with the tools they had.”  I forgot where I first heard that but I’ve carried it with me like a mantra since my parents passed.   They truly did.  Whatever else was missing, whatever I needed that they couldn’t give, the love was always there.

      Always.
      That’s something.
My confidence in my own abilities.  Faith in my own power.  My own strength.  They gave me that, too.
      That’s also something.
They’re why I’m messed up, but they’re also why I’m okay.

      Shit’s complicated.
She died before I figured out how smart she really was.  Sad thing is I don’t think ever figured that out for herself.
Ignore me - just crying in my car waiting to pick up my son.
