Stevie's bio parents were discussed in FJ around the time of their deaths. Links to both obits were posted.

Also, Joe asked Elissa to marry him the day of Steve's Mom's funeral.

Totally nuts.

But if Steve, I mean God, marries his daughters off, who will dust the ceiling fans and wipe cabinets?

Teri would have to completely redo the cleaning schedule to redistribute Sarah's tasks. I can't imagine the tailspin this would send her into. Thank the Lord Jeses for their amazing software. It's sure to aid her in this daunting feat. Hopefully she remembers to schedule the time to sit down and work on her schedule when the time comes.

Okay, that's too much sarcasm even for me...

Thanks @Justme

I'll definitely read those threads asap! I thought I had read all of them but apparently I need to go through them again!

Anyone else having trouble with Tits2 blog showing up on their reader?  I use Feedly and CANNOT seem to get it to update past John's birthday -- I was surprised to see some of the updates on FJ about recent posts because I didn't know about them until I went to the blog itself. Not sure what is going on.....  Is this some Maxwellian trickery??

Does she only know the one expression?  Too bad it isn't a smile. [edit] Well it's kinda a smile but it never looks like a smile.  Maybe I'm just judging too harshly.

In another comment a little further down, she explains the creative process behind the Moody books:

Quote

Dear Tony,

I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying the Moody books! The Lord gives me the
ideas for each book. Often, they are based on my family or things I’ve
observed happening to others. In addition, the Lord gives creativity :-).
Good job on working on your own story. Practice, practice, and more practice
is important!

Only for Jesus,
Sarah

Given the giant-arse fuss they make over every tiny little thing, I think this is just about the right amount of sarcasm. Possibly even a bit light on sarcasm! It took her years to figure out the first day of school thing. Then there was the lettuce remembering for their b-b-q. I can't begin to imagine how many meetings and how much praying would have to go into re-scheduling all the things Sarah does around the place.

I owe you a huge apology! I'm so sorry! I sincerely thought non-members couldn't see! :( I feel bad.

@anjulibai

Wow, thank you so much for that! Very interesting...

Don't feel bad! I do wonder what the spoilers are for. I'm still not sure if I should have shared, I usually don't dish on here or in real life, but I think the info is general enough and I'm not breaking any kind of confidence. Just trying to throw a tiny thread of hope out there for all of us to hold onto ;-)

(I think about Sarah often; she and I are basically the same age and our lives are vastly different. I want to think the best of her family, but I find it difficult, and I'd be tickled pink to see Sarah *happily* married.)

The spoilers are for hiding animated gifs and large images until people choose to see them.

Ah. I never think of stuff like that, I was thinking triggers or something. Thanks :-)

They can be used for triggers and for stuff that most people wouldn't want to know/see (for example see the thread about putting stuff in your ladybits)

'Only for Jesus' is a very, very odd way to sign a comment. I've never heard that phrase before in all my years of fundie watching.

Is Steve lying about Sarah's age? I didn't see any mention of it in the birthday post.

I want Sarah to be happy. If her happiness is marrying and having a bunch of kids, then I hope she gets that. I don't feel that writing is her passion based on how Steve was the one who commanded her to begin writing. I never get any sense of passion from Sarah on the subject either, but I never get any passion from Sarah about anything so it doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Just read this comment too...sarah has added a winking emoji. Winking!!! ( by the way I'm talking about the cherry comment. i don't know how I got this attached?!)

My eyes aren't what they used to be, but I thought that emoji was winking too.  I thought maybe I was seeing things, so thanks for confirming that.

Hmmm, now I do wonder if something is up.

Sarah sounds way too chipper in that post.

I wonder if they locked Steve in the basement during the long fast, and left him there.  Perhaps all images of him since then are photoshopped in, and the family is living it up between drop-offs of goldfish crackers to his hidey hole.

One can dream... ;)

i'm more concerned that they apparently only know one bible verse to apply to their women. I clicked on those links and a few of the other ones that popped up as "related posts" for mary's birthday...for at least half of the birthdays they use the "rubies" quote for the women. seems sad that they can't think of other phrases to summarize their feelings on the girls. with all the verses in the bible, that's the only one you can think of when you think of your daughters?

Hmm...she's wearing the exact same sweater in the 2012 & 2015 birthday posts.  Are they using old pics?

For sure. She's wearing a different skirt in the lower picture, so they probably weren't even taken the same day. But, the smoking gun is the background. These pictures were not taken in January in Kansas.

Here's a verse with some advice for Sarah:

Quote

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Matthew 7:7 NKJV

The right man won't just fall into her lap!

I made up this riff a year or two ago for Sarah's birthday. it still applies now.

Happy birthday to you,

you live in a zoo,

the bars you can't see,

but you'll never be free.

Yes, I have tried deleting then adding again and still it is not updating in Feedly since after John's birthday. So strange.

I think we see the sameness in their birthday descriptions of one another (and their every day lives)  in part because they have a very limited range of acceptable emotions in their household.  Sweet is used so much because that was likely a goal of how they were supposed to be/feel/act, so it is not only an acceptable term, but a compliment.  I would have a hard time there because I doubt anyone in my life, with the possible exception (possible) of my husband would think I was "sweet" (he thinks I'm a sweetie, which is different, I think, from the Maxwell definition of sweet)

But she couldn't have a man in her lap anyway as long as she isn't married, that would be immodest.

Happy birthday Sarah, I hope your year will be everything you wish for and so much more.

I've already accepted that if Sarah ever makes an engagement/marriage announcement, I will have to just immediately head home from work for the day cause ain't nothing getting done.

Nothing will get done! I think everyone just has to call in sick to work that day! You'll know if your co-workers are on FJ! :pb_lol:
