Duggars by the Dozen - General Discussion Part 16

FJ used to have a fanfiction section where people would post stories they wrote about the Duggars. I remember one story about Michelle having an affair with the mailman that led to Jinger's (or maybe another kid, I can't remember) birth. It was pretty weird, which is why that section no longer exists.

I haven't been following Duggar news lately but I was wondering, have they said if they have a Republican candidate they're supporting now that both Huckabee and Santorum are out?

Re: first part, there's still a few stories on FFN. One of them is Jinger getting together with Dean Winchester. I didn't read because I like my eyeballs and time too much.

As to the second, they might go with Carson, but I know Josh publically supported Ted Cruz as well.

Cruz and Carson seem to be right up their alley. Cruz would turn the US into a theocracy if he could.

I was just on the FB page for Mrs Betty Bowers:  America's Best Christian.  She referred to the Duggars as Kardashians of Christ, which clarifies a lot of things for me.

Oh, I'm sure they are infatuated w/the ever-loadmouth Donald Trump. Altho he embarrassed himself pretty well at Liberty Un. So I guess they are weighing in on ted Cruz, who wants to make the country a theocracy.

Just so you know, Trump does not in any way represent the Presbyterians.

I think they'll support Ted Cruz, who inadvertently hired a porn star for one of his ads. They'd fit quite well together. Now, whether Ted would want them is another matter. The Duggars tend to back losers.

All three  of them have highlights, Jana's is a full highlight, not just partial. Definitely not home-done.

I don't see him sayings he's Jewish first and an American second, he doesn't seem to be practicing/isn't really involved in organized religion. Though there would be a GOP fit over having a Jewish/non-Christian president and would bring cries of Christian persecution to a whole new level (while they ignore the fact that many of his relatives were killed for being Jewish, you know... Some actual religious persecution...). And anything that goes wrong if he becomes president will likely be blamed on the fact that he's Jewish/all Jewish because lack of Jesus. Or something. Yeah, I'm not looking forward to what the GOP/Cruz will have to say.

I remember being sort of blindsided when a kid my US History class straight-up stated that Jews "control" the media. I told him that considering we gave the world The Daily Show, Seinfeld, Saturday Night Live, and most late-night talk shows, it's probably for the best that we do.

But a part of me can't wait to see conservatives' weird religion-boner/Israel-boner for the Jews deflate like they just saw naked pictures of Donald Trump if Bernie gets elected. It's going to be some hilariously hypocritical anti-Semitism.

Totally offtopic. I'm teaching English in primary school. It's very basic English. I always make up names for the people in the storys we read. And just named the kids in my exercise after the Duggar children. Seriously, what is wrong with me? I'm gonna do a Bates-themed exercise, too, one day.

I'm usually not for taking the low road, but after all the OBAMA IS AN KENYAN MUSLIM TURRORIST shit, I really, really want the Democrats to go on and on about how Ted Cruz is Canadian pinko socialist who wants to make everyone have socialized healthcare (and will make all of us eat poutine so we all get heart disease and need to use it) and pray to Celine Dion.

I may or may not have done this in dialogues for my English classes back when I taught in China. Jessa and Jed sure went on some wacky adventures involving going to school, ordering food at a restaurant, and planning a trip to Kunming.
