Very good question.  Although I'm a licensed clinician, I work primarily in research these days.  Is porn addiction a recognized pathology?  It depends on what you mean by "recognized."  Do some clinicians have a protocol for treating something called "pornography addiction" or more typically "sex addiction"?  Yes.  Is there an ICD-10 billable code or a section of the DSM-5 devoted to specifying criteria for porn/sex addiction?  No.

I personally think Josh wouldn't be at rehab if they weren't in the public eye.  I think it would have been handled differently like the molestation was. Being in the public eye means they have to put on a show.

Joshes Facebook is back! This is his personal Facebook account… Not the "page" that he and Anna had. If he revived it, he must've had access to the Internet. Does this mean he had a pass from rehab?

I'm going to guess there's been a 'hack' to his account.  I cannot imagine anyone allowing or encouraging him this privilege.  Maybe I'm wrong.  Let's see how long it stays visible.

The way Facebook works can be a mystery to anyone. I've had my account deactivated in the past and unbeknownst to me, if you signed in, it would re-activate it. Maybe he (or his PR people) signed in to find something or to look at something else and didn't know they were re-activating it.   Flyinthesoup is right - him getting access is unlikely, especially if he's still in Jesus jail.

It doesn't appear to have been updated since Joshgate 1.0 (the last entry is JB and Michelle's statement on his youthful "poor decisions"). Don't know why it's back up. Wherever Josh is, I doubt they're letting him have Internet access, and even if he was online, he'd get nothing but abuse if he was using his real identity.

Perhaps his Facebook account returning is the beginning of the "Reformed" Josh campaign? I guess that the comments will be heavily moderated by someone other than Josh.

Or it could have been Josh logging in preparing to announce his turning away from Gothardism and intention to divorce Anna. Oh, and announcing he's working on a tell-all book.

Probably Anna? Am I recalling wrong, or did Daddy Keller tell Josh that Anna would have to be a accountable for his Internet access? I could be mixing it up with Pecan and Priscilla.

So she will have four young children to watch and have to babysit the pig aka her husband? Jeepers. Can we add anymore stress to that girl's life? She will need a good computer class as I feel the Keller's homeschooling is no better than the Duggars and she will need to learn to sleuth in order to catch the addicted Josh. I am sure he has his ways and she is going to have to sneakier than he is and I can't see that one happening. She is too trusting and naïve.

I presume 1TON ramp doesn't have a class to teach wives to babysit their husbands' internet activity...

There are filters she can use to limit access to a lot of things on the internet.  Having the computer ALWAYS in a common area is another good idea.  She will not need to babysit him.

Quick poll: how many people here think JB actually believes what he's spewing re: God? I often wonder that about these religious/cult leaders. I think very few of them actually believe, they just see it as the easiest way to control people.

I think it's entirely possible Josh is sneaking internet access somehow while in rehab.

At the group home where I work, we sometimes have residents who for their own safety due to their decision-making cannot be allowed online. Speaking from my experience, is difficult to impossible to fully enforce that because so many devices are internet enabled and some are small enough to be easily hidden on one's person. People who are really determined to get online will find a way somehow, more often than not, even in a program where that is supposed to be prevented.

Has anyone else heard that Josh et al have filed a petition for the lawsuit to be dismissed.....because A) she has no proof of her accusations, and  (  < this is supposed to say 'B' but the sunglasses won't go away!! ) because she accepted money for sex? Rather mind boggling, IMHO.

I will grant that he could sneak some access if he really wanted to.  I just can't figure why he would use that access to go back to his Facebook page.  He can't use it without risking discovery.  If I were going to secretly go on the internet I would first and foremost establish a new identity and be very careful to stay away from my old "haunts."

Incidentally, Daniel Keller (Anna's brother, who had closed his FB account after the incident when he posted about "the pig she calls her husband") is back on FB.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he filed for it to be dismissed because he paid her for sex... seems like something he would do. "Well she broke the law too! She's a hooker" 

 

PS. Doesn't mean I think that it should be dismissed for those reasons...

ATI is so restrictive that I can't imagine anyone doing it and not being convinced of its efficacy when there are many, less restrictive forms of Christianity out there. If nothing else, only someone wearing some seriously distorted faith goggles would look at those worthless Wisdom books and think that they could provide a halfway decent education.

It may have been accidental if he was trying to log onto a different site that authenticated using Facebook credentials.
