“All our scriptures are full with wine and with grapes — before the French were even thinking about making wine, we were exporting wine,” Drori told the New York Times. “We have a very ancient identity, and for me, reconstructing this identity is very important. For me, it’s a matter of national pride.”

Very interesting article on ancient seeds.  Including the attempts to resurrect ancient wine grape varieties once grown in Israel.  Oh my, this can't be so, because we knot from the Duggars and their friends that the wine in the bible was only grape juice.

I think there's also some ancient beer recipes that have been resurrected and massed produced. It's actually pretty cool that they are doing that.

This is pretty cool. I sent it to my roommate, the agricultural engineer in training. He's into it.

Yes some of the smaller craft breweries have been creating some interesting beers using ancient recipes;
