Quivering Dogs Mommy Blog

This woman just pisses me off. It is your responsibility to take care of your Dogs. Letting them learn a lesson in obedience through death seems, well, useless!!

Note: There is a picture of the dead dog on the blog, so please be warned.

http://quiveroftheking.blogspot.ca/2014/07/spritzer.html

" We are not sure who ended Spritzers life but he made a choice that clearly was not wise and now he is suffering the consequences....  DEATH!!"

" We gathered the children around and they learned some lessons on obedience and the choices that they make and where each choice can lead.  Even though we miss Spritzer we had a good learning experience once again..."

Annoying?Just wrong? Well wait it gets better. One year and one month later......

http://quiveroftheking.blogspot.ca/2015/08/mitzis-last-moments.html

she crossed the road because she felt that she had rights and privileges to do so. It was the choice that would cost her her life

I got to spend some time talking to her and sympathizing with the choice that she had made

Grant to the rescue... he got the tractor and put her in the scoop and nicely dumped her in her grave!

Oh Grant you are a prince. I think someone is not learning their lessons and it is not your kids.

Even worse, she then goes on in another blog post to talk about her LITTLE kids coloring in a busy parking lot. Sitting on the ground behind a truck...

NOTE: Sorry if this family has been touched on, I have never heard of them before. Please merge/delete me if this is a duplicate.

I want to leave a comment on her blog that, frankly, she is an irresponsible asshole.  She should never own another dog and it sounds like she shouldn't have children either.

YIKES. Warning to folks reading for the first time: the second link includes a photo of the dog's dead (or dying) body. What sort of horrible, dead-hearted person do you have to be to stand there and photograph that, let alone moralize about it?

SO instead taking care of her dog, making sure he was secure and put up , this lady lets him wonder. The dog gets hit, blames the dog and the heifer just watches it die and then basically gloats. "See kids if you dont listen to mommy, see what happens, god smites you." I am a bit:my_angry: at the moment, They could have at least tried to take that baby to the vet.

Wow. No compassion whatsoever. :my_huh:

Takeaway lesson for her children: This is how God responds to your pain.  No compassion. Especially if you've brought it on yourself. So don't ever EVER disobey, or God will gleefully give you... "DEATH!"

So you have had at a minimum 2 dogs killed infront of your house but yet this is how you parent your quiver..

"One bright sunny day I was working along in the house and it seemed awfully quiet, so I went to find all of my children to

see what they were doing.

I saw these 3 littles out in the middle of the driveway... Quite a random place to play, so I went to inquire of their activities!

They had perched themselves in the driveway and they were coloring away...  I was a little nervous with their destination of choice.  Trucks, vans, UPS, FedEx etc are driving in and out of the driveway at any given moment and they are not always watching out for hoodlums perched in their path.  They were so happy and it was a little hard for me to uproot them"

Along with a picture, of 3 very little toddlers/kids sitting right behind a truck....

Just another chance for a life lesson??

WTF?!?

This is one cruel, callous woman.

I guess if her kids had been smashed by a UPS truck, it'd just be another life lesson and day in the life of Ms. Quiver.

I saw the thread title and assumed that it was one of those crazy "pet parent" blogs... little did I know... :(

Okay, nutty and holier than thou blogger lady, I see a few things wrong here:

1. If your front yard (or whatever the road frontage of your home is) is not fenced, you have no business turning a dog- especially what appears to be a small breed- loose in it. Dogs are not little humans, they're dogs. They have emotions and thoughts of their own, for sure, but they don't even have the reasoning process of a small child. If you have a dog then YOU are responsible for ensuring that he or she is secured in an area where he or she cannot get hurt or killed by passing vehicles. You mention farmers' bigger dogs? Well... duh. Dogs are usually drawn to other dogs. Fence your front yard or don't let your dog out there... which brings me to number two:

2. If that's not a safe enclosed area for a dog then what the hell are you doing letting your small children play out there?! Really, Supermom...

QFT. She's horrible. "Oh, our family pet got killed by a car and suffered greatly near the end of his little life? Well, that sure showed him! Yeah, he was a loyal friend to our kids but oh well, he made his bed and now he has to lie (under the ground) in it!"

Disgusting woman. (I have to admit after reading this I took a minute to hug our dog and to be thankful for parents who taught me that we are responsible for the safety and happiness of pets and other animals in our care, which sadly is apparently something that Self-righteous Quiver Mommy's kids will never learn.)

If God doesn't smite this woman, I don't know what I'll do. The stupid and cruelty are strong with this one.

Isn't that one of the signs of a psychopath? Torturing and murdering small animals? Sounds like CPS should probably give her kids a once over.

Oh Lord. This woman is all kinds of cray-cray. Having looked at this blog a little further, the family seem to be long-skirt-wearing fundies. The mom, as far as I can tell, wears a head covering. She has one boy and five girls: Matthias, Celeste, Vanessa, Karina, Elyce and Chassidy. Not especially Biblical names. She also gets the kids vaccinated.

There isn't much on her blog to snark on. Except the crazy dog stuff. That's not really snarking, that's saying WTF CRAZY WOMAN.

Yes she is but what kind of Fundy is it? She is different from anything I have seen in a way, 1st all the woman it seems have the same type of head covering, the way that she calls people Mother, Father, Sister and Brother. I have heard that before but her brand is a bit off from what I have encountered in IFB church. Maybe it is because I am in Canada?

Also how do you have that many kids and have a Van that has a gas gauge that does not work? Ok, even if you do would you not be SUPER aware of that, perhaps overfilling? I don't know but personally I would be really nervous about that especially if I was driving around back roads with 7 kids in tow..

As a "dog person" - I refuse to go to that blog.

Please tell me that someone has reported this person to the local animal control officers.

I complety agree, I can't go there either.

I just hugged my two saints. They look confused but happy for the TLC.

The girls don't wear a head covering, and they also wear fairly normal clothing. (Unless some Mennonites wear modern clothing?)

Yes, they can dress quite a bit differently. The old colony Mennonites tend to dress similar to the Amish but are usually allowed to wear some color. The modern or liberal Mennonites are a lot looser with their dress code -- but still wear the head covering as adults.

As a dog lover and mom of humans, I am not going to the blog.   You have all summed it up well enough for me to get pissed off at this woman from this thread alone.   If she allows comments on her blog, I am sure she will hear from FJers.

She should not be in charge of living things.  She sounds like a nut job.

Same here, I'm not going to that blog since I'm a dog person. I just hope someone called Animal Control and CPS because this egg donor doesn't deserve to have dogs or children for that matter.

Love the back of the van, wonder if they got some laughs as they sat in it broken down on the side of the road...

As it would seem the answer would be, On the side of the road..

Woah, Woah. Woah! The dogs made "choices"? They are dogs.  No matter how smart my girls are, they will still chase a squirrel or investigate an interesting smell while off leash.

Using the death of a beloved companion as a lesson in obedience is sadistic.

This woman is off her rocker. If she thinks that a dog makes a conscious decision to run out and get hit by a car, she needs her head looking at.  Pets do not know the consequences of their actions. They are pets... ANIMALS. They have a natural curiosity. Why blame the dog for her misfortune when you refuse to take responsibility?

For that matter - why is it not the fault of the person who hit the dog? Probably some heathen who was listening to the devil's music on the radio and when his hippy hair got in his eyes, he ran smack dab into the dog. ( By the way, I am not stating that it is the driver's fault either - just using similar crazy person logic)

This animal did not deserve to die. This animal was not protected by the people she trusted. The scary thing is, if a child fell off a changing table or some such thing, this woman would likely blame the child for disobeying and not lying completely still instead of taking any ownership of the situation.

I feel sorry for any other unfortunate creatures that happen to end up with this family.

Dear Loony Quiver of the King! woman - If that was true, that Spritzer the dog chose to run out and be hit by a car, then it stands to reason he preferred that fate over life with you!

Signed

A. Animal lover

Not that I agree he chose it. The poor little guy wasn't cared for properly and kept safe :(

Also, she has 7 kids I think, two boys Matthias and Harrison, and the five girls already mentioned above.

My sweet pup was diagnosed with a brain tumor in September. She passed away in my arms on Thanksgiving morning. It all happened so fast. She didn't want to eat anything the day before, but prior to that was ok. Knew it was near time and had booked an appointment to take her next week. However, she decided for me. She was only 8 and really was one of the best dogs. She never met a stranger, human or dog. Life isn't the same without her.

I made my first Granny Square! After nearly 30 years of knitting and crocheting this was a project I never did. Until now! I needed something to do with my rest of very colourful yarn and now I am very happy. I need to try different needles with my yarns but I think I found something nice for the future.
I needed only 3 different youtube videos until I found a person who explained the concept slowly and repetitive and with words I can understand. I hate when these tutorials make me feel dumb.

We had to put our 14 year old dachshund, Trinket, down today.  She was fine Thursday, but by mid-morning yesterday, it was apparent that something was really wrong,  She had zero energy, lost her appetite and began walking into corners.  By morning I knew it was time for her to have her final visit to the vet.  She had lost about a pound and a half recently.  RIP, Trinket!

Horrific! A 6 year old boy was murdered, and mother severly injured, in a hate crime in Chicago. Reports say they are both Palestinian Muslims and were specifically targeted because of that. Thankfully the man who did it is in custody
      This is pure evil
