'Dear Lord Jesus, what do you think about my blue eyeliner? Am I honouring You and presenting a welcoming face with which to share Christ's love when I wear it?'

The thing is, if the eyeliner were green, we would know it is the most Christian thing ever.

Also, what kind of Pinterest is this girl looking at that she's got impure images? Mine is seriously only how to organize shit and some Bible verse and some fashion stuff. Nothing is defrauding by any stretch of the imagination.

Take a look at Raquel's Pinterest... Tons of images of couples making out and giving eachother massages.

OK, have we heard/seen this Beecher Proch before?  He's their "guy guest blogger" and is  from  Fredericksburg, TX, had a lot to say about what girls should and should not do, blogged and wrote for a while, was/is singing with his siblings in a group called The Four Prochs....(A Vintage LIfestyle Band???????)

One  Blog of his that I find is a bit out of date, but his twitter account is ongoing https://twitter.com/beecherproch

His Linked in is SOP  VF guy stuff--do any of you recognize the family?  ... Music, Video Production (Semi-Finalist, San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival, February 2013)  Has a Social Media consulting company, worked with Lamplighter Ministries in marketing and their theater?  Was he ever an intern?  Oh, we have the added skillset that he is / was a fashion designer!  It looks like he took lessons from Lisa  Pennington and Magnolia Pearl...  (Oh, Wait, I found where he got the idea for old mattress covers as fashion... his a Dad featured this bit on his facebook page (dad's a designer and illustrator, artist, etc) https://www.facebook.com/549872478474475/photos/pcb.643583032436752/643581935770195/?type=3

His instagram shows him/them traveling a lot. (Gather he worked in London for Lamplighter)

Graduated from Regency College....

Weirdly creepy....and he really has the male female roles down well enough to pontificate frequently for some little unmarried twerp.

The mustard cardigan strikes again? It's getting great mileage.

I'm just more annoyed about this girl's hair. DO YOUR ROOTS AND COMMIT TO THE WHOLE HEAD. YOU LOOK LIKE A HIPSTER SKUNK.

To be fair, the world is full of totally secular, non lifestyle-patriarchal dudes who don't know how makeup works but feel that they should have the final word in how girls wear it. You know, the kind of guy who thinks "I think you'd look much better without all that makeup on" is a huge compliment. Also the kind of guy whose definition of "no makeup" is "natural-tone mascara, eyeliner, tinted lip balm, concealer and blush" and gets shocked when he sees his girl with an actual bare face. You know who I'm talking about.

AKA guys who think that all women wear makeup for the sole purpose of pleasing them? Ugh.

I chose not to pursue swim team, gymnastics and ballet because of the uniform they required girls to wear. Instead I chose to participate in basketball, softball and volleyball. Each of those teams were run by a christian organization which took modesty into consideration and chose uniforms that were much more modest than the typical.

As a competitive swimmer, and the parent of a competitive swimmer, I want to scream. At least she didn't advise the other girl to just wear modest swimwear and witness to the harlots on the  swim team that way.

Good grief.  If nothing, it oozes self-righteousness.  That is EXACTLY what turned me from religion in the first place.  The "I'm better than you because Jesus" crap.

Well we aren't all like that and I'm sure you know that I think religion just gives people who already have a superiority complex an excuse to use it.

I have to get over the fact that there's a real life human with the name Beecher Proch before I investigate this further.  Beecher Proch is a name worthy of a Raquel novel.

Irs interesting how she dances around the "be a sahm" reason not to go to college. That, at least, follows logically (even as it hurts my heart). But "it won't help me become an author/ public speaker" is crazy.

I dislike these smug little trolls so much. They are rapidly aging SAHD without even the "careers" of the Robotkins or the hard working Andrea and Kelly - who, btw, seem to be using the blog now as nothing more than selling Plexus supplements, whatever they are.

One of them is married, and I have no clue about the other one because reading their website makes my eyes bleed and I develop an urge to stab something. Sanctimonious twits.

Kristen is married, and left her family size up to the Lord. She has been married three years, and had two miscarriages, which is sad, and no babies yet.

So she write this: http://www.girldefined.com/god-doesnt-give-what-you-want

You might, or might not, want to see one of my boards.  I need a cold shower after looking through it. :D  But those pics have to be sought, and won't be recommended if you're pinning recipes and godly verses.  Pinterest is very good about keeping recommendations relevant to each user.

Yes, and thanks to the 'defrauding' world she wasn't mind-pure when she gave herself to get husband. :giggle: Probably the steamy hand holding scene took her mind virginity. (I hate that term so much.)

Ugh, depression and eating disorders are apparently a "sin issue" on par with pornography addiction.  The cure?  Why, it's accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.  Of course.

I have read dozens of stories about people just like Jenna, Melanie, and Bryan who have overcome intense struggles by getting to their root cause. By meeting with a Biblical counselor, they were taken to God’s Word where lasting help and hope is found.

For Jenna, she discovered her root issue was an idol in her heart that she couldn’t let go of. The more she focused on her idol, the more depressed she became about life.

It wasn’t until a Biblical counselor helped Jenna get to her root sin issue, and solve it Biblically, that she ever found freedom and victory.

And here's a handy dandy guide to not having an abortion.  TL:DR?  Why, don't be promiscuous.  Because heaven knows only promiscuous women have abortions...

This pisses me off. My mental illness(es) are not caused by me "sinning". Fuck you (to the bloggers, not the person I've quoted).

So whyyyyyy doesn't she go to a doctor? It might be something as simple as taking meds to regulate hormones. But then again, that wouldn't be leaving your family size up to the Lord, would it? :my_rolleyes:

I'm going to get religious for a second. I feel awful for these girls. They are so worried and anxious about pleasing God. They can't just rest in knowing that God loves them and wants good things for them. Agonizing over going to college, a prostiture at Starbucks, etc is just so tiresome.

Well, I call complete bullshit on the prostitute encounter. What self-respecting prostitute would offer this personal information to a random Starbucks customer?  It's a handy little (fabricated) anecdote to illustrate that even the worst types of humans are grateful for her efforts to save their souls, and, of course, for receiving one of those wonderful, life-changing tracts. (I know when I go to Starbucks I always hope some enlightened, godly, moral person will give me one. Alas, it has not yet happened. Sadly, I am still a heathen.)

It was probably a person with a perfectly legal job and a slightly short skirt.

All of these people are obsessed with sex! It makes me think of the scene in Good Will Hunting where the therapist basically gets off what Will is saying about sex in this clip: http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=good+will+hunting+matt+damon+therapist&view=detail&&&mid=7B9DCE3219F97FA60BA57B9DCE3219F97FA60BA5&rvsmid=F127940A0AB2489FCF2CF127940A0AB2489FCF2C&fsscr=0

Or on 2 Broke Girls last night with the FFF (family founding something) and the head (male) pastor did very long hugs with the hot, (male) LL Bean pastor. And when the head pastor spoke about "the gays", etc he basically was getting off like the therapist in Good Will Hunting. (episode is too new to have a clip out of it) Picture of the guy Max calls "LL Bean"

These pastors and parents scream about purity and the rumpus parties and all the sex at secular colleges and of course "the gays". Makes me wonder about what they did in their past to make them so fervent on the topic. Did they have kids and think back of all the one-night stands and think my child isn't going to be like me. Or did they watch Animal House & Revenge of the Nerds like a documentary? And why do they think it is so bad to have sexual feelings, God made us and he gave us those feelings.

..stopping now...no idea if I am making sense....
