Holiday food promotions

One of my local grocery stores, Shop Rite, had a Thanksgiving holiday food promotion this year (they've had it in the past, too, as well as for around Easter time). If you spend $___ (I forget the exact amount) during a specified time period, you can earn a free turkey/turkey breast/ham/lasanga/tofurkey. Needless to say, I was actually surprised to find I did earn one of the aforementioned items. 

As I'm vegetarian, I chose the tofurkey. Never had it before, but it can't hurt to try. And besides, you know the old saying: "If it's free, it's for me."

Does a grocery store in your area have a program like this?

We have one at Meijer where if you spend a certain amount of money, you get $20 off your turkey.

When I lived in an area with a Kroger store, they used to do similar promotions.
