Josh Duggar Part 9: Adult Film Star Lawsuits are so Godly

The more these "embarassments" occur, the more likely any other stuff will come out.  It keeps the negative attention on them and the more negative attention increases the likelihood of other shenangians, either personal or financial, coming out.  Either someone will make it their business to find out (which I believe was the case in the molestations) or things like lawsuits, where other information is inadvertently found.

And I agree that JB is not an evil overlord, just a legend in his own mind.  He believes he knows it all, doesn't think he has to listen to anybody, and will rationalize his greed   His decisions, particularly with regard to his children, are already biting him in the butt.

I heard that's how Jar Jar Binks was created. George Lucas wouldn't listen to anybody in regards to the script for the Star Wars prequels and now we pretend they don't exist.:pb_lol:

Oh yeah, I couldn't believe that Mr.Lucas thought it was a good idea to have that character in the movies.   But I also wondered why in hell he decided on bringing in little walking teddy bears into "Return of the Jedi".

I was kinda wondering when something like this lawsuit would come out. I wonder if this lawsuit will give anybody else the courage to come forward, if there are any other skeletons in the Duggar closet. Still feel bad for Anna and the M kids.

I hope that the courts can figure out if there's adequate evidence or not, and make appropriate judgements. This woman deserves to be treated fairly regardless of what people think of her line of work, and the Duggars don't deserve to be above scrutiny or the law because of their professed religion.

I think they were expecting this from the start, and that is why Smugg's house was sold to a friend for $1 recently.  And probably why JB went by plane to visit Smuggs, so they could do some legal stuff with him.

Just when Josh was thinking the whole thing was dying down, and maybe he could go home and it would only be slightly awkward...

Boom - Happy Thanksgiving Josh - if I were you I'd hide away at rehab - because not only will the in-laws make it tough, but if you go home, then your own family are pretty mad, and you have 18 siblings and two brothers in law wanting blood (maybe Josie & Jenny won't be mad, so that's 16.  Hannie has probably figured it out.  Jordyn is probably mad that you mad Kenzie sad by going away and making Kenzie's mummy sad).

I don't want to be you this thanksgiving, (though I would never want to be you anyway).

If there's dirt on any of the other Duggars, I want it to come out. I hope to God it wouldn't involve any other victims, or that if it did, their identities would be protected, but yeah. Right now they can try and claim that Josh is just a bad apple. "Well, all families have their problems. Look, we've got 19 kids and only one of them went astray! That's pretty good, isn't it?" Before the molestation scandal broke I really thought that the Duggars were a ticking time bomb, that they were about to be brought down by something, but I was convinced it was going to be something financial. I still think that about JB. Like another recently said, I don't think he's an 'evil overlord', but he is greedy, manipulative, and not nearly as smart as he thinks he is. He's trying to set up his own little kingdom where the law is the Law of Jim Bob. I think the real law is going to catch up with him and bite him in the ass.

With 19 kids plus now spouses, if there aren't things in the past, there sure as hell are going to be a few in the very near future. With more than twenty people, there is no way there aren't going to be any DUIs, abuse of prescription meds, ugly divorces, tax evasion. I also think something else about their past will come out. Probably financial.

Jim Bob and Michelle are in a world of trouble, too.  Did you read all of that article with the lawsuit screen shots?

http://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/josh-duggar-sued-by-pornstar-danica-77789

 (Frumer is Danica Dillon's lawyer)

"Jim Bob and Michelle waited at least 16 months to inform authorities after Josh confessed to molesting his sisters in 2002, then tried to cover up his crimes for years. They could be asked about all of Josh’s horrible behavior in an attempt to 'show a pattern,' Frumer says, especially 'if Josh denies the prior bad acts.'

“'The defendant has a history of sexual and physical abuse towards women, particularly those he perceives as vulnerable or weak,' Danica’s attorney explains. 'He has to be held responsible for his actions.'"

If the suit goes to trial, everything is going to come out.  Jim Bob either has to cough up a ton of $$ to pay her off or risk permanent character assassination.  Jim Bob and Michelle have never been honest about the way they handled Josh's molestations and porn viewing.  Although they could just throw Josh under the bus financially, I don't think they can afford to let this go to trial and I don't think Josh has any money to pay her off.

I am so glad JimBoob (and Michelle) are in a world of trouble, too.

I have long felt there is something "off" about JB, especially in the sexual arena.  I so hope I am wrong because my thinking goes right away to his overly perverse interest in his daughters' sex lives.

Does anyone remember hearing that someone saw both Josh AND his dad at a strip club?  I can't recall where I read that.  Help?

I remember reading that somewhere too. JB also creeps me out. He comes off as a pervert and an opportunist. I cringed when he said that "the girls' room was his favorite room in the house."

I do not think that JB is honest or trustworthy.

Personally, I think the apple does not fall from the tree. The Duggars were/are horrible parents collectors of children.

Jim Bob put a framed picture of himself as a teenager on the countertop in the girls' bedroom.  I always thought that was creepy.  Have you ever seen anything like that in a teenage girl's bedroom?

UGH.  If I'd put any picture of my husband (or myself) in my kids' room growing up, it would be a picture of us as a couple, maybe a wedding picture.

JB is soooooo gross it is pathetic.  He just exudes disgusting-ness from every pore and from every damn hair follicle.

I have a feeling that the IRS is following the "Life and Times of Jim Bob Duggar".

At least I hope so!!!!

(Of course I have no proof, but he seems the type to play fast and loose with his finances).

I completely agree. IMO, if anything is going to personally bring JB down, it will be his record keeping and thinking he can/could get away with not paying Uncle Sam.

I cannot even put into words how wildly disgusting and inappropriate this is! This is one messed up family.

We don't talk about Part 9.

First rule of Fj: Never talk about part 9.

Having said that. ..I think based on flight records and an article I think I saw on Gawker that quoted a source that came from someone who says they know the person whose cousins best friend's sister  works nights at the chicken FIL-a across the street from the place, Part 9 checked into a religious based "rehab facility" yesterday for possible Internet addiction.

I can't see any possibility of Jim Bob and Michelle being dragged into a lawsuit involving an adult son who allegedly roughed up a woman in a hotel room.  Being bad parents doesn't make you liable for your grown children's behavior.  Notice JB and Michelle are not defendants. Her attorney is just saber rattling.  I can't even see the molestation stuff getting in as it's way too remote (he was a minor at the time) and not related to smacking anyone around.

But it is so much fun thinking about them sweating it out and trying to get all 19 of those ducks in a row.

I do think there is more to come out and it may not be just Josh. There is more creepiness lurking in that family. I just hope no one has been hurt in the process. Just their brand and reputation.

Well, I mean, denying their children opportunities for a real education is definitely doing harm. And that's right there in the open, more or less. :(  (I mean, i know that you know that, or you wouldn't be here. :)  But it sure seems like TLC is hoping no one will notice those forms of harm.)

My only hope is that these more stunning revelations will help people make the connections to the depth of harm done by Gothardism. I mean, even if it's "only" keeping the girls from learning anything that would let them support themselves and telling them they're responsible for men's lust...that's really harmful. And it's not unconnected to the situation at hand...what would life be like if Anna had a degree and could more easily find a job? Yet after all that's happened they still have fans. Bizarre.

I don't follow the Duggars closely, and I'm not a "licensed legal professional" or whatever the statement is, however, I suspect this woman was called upon by a variety of attorneys immediately after she went public.  Were I her attorney, I'd hold off on filing until I had checked to see if there were other women willing to bring suit for the same or similar reasons, and / or how much additional info I could get to more or less force a settlement.

The courts are well versed on how people hide assets, and often will get what was hidden or just garnish the person for the rest of their lives.

Most attorneys would not take on a suit if they didn't think they could profit from it.....
