I recommend contacting sponsors directly on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and calling them out for sponsoring a show that supports such poor role models. From the article posted earlier it looks like sponsors are quick to reply.

Just a note: when contacting these companies, be sure to specifically state "the specials with the Duggar daughters Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard". Many people are getting responses from places saying things like "Thank you, we have no plans to advertise during 19 Kids and Counting..." It might be semantics, but they may not realize it's a totally new show.

The TLC FB page is full of people talking about contacting the sponsors - I've also seen a new group formed on FB made for just this purpose.

I agree with the above post - social media is the way to get to the sponsors. Many of their FB and twitter pages are already filled with comments about not sponsoring these new specials.

Looks like that person posted that way because certain words are triggers on the Lowe's page, and either prevent the posts from showing up all together, or have them "flagged" so they can be removed right away. That person was kinda smart - she figured a way around their BS. Hopefully more people post like that. I'm wondering if posting a picture of a comment would get taken down? In all reality, I'm kinda surprised someone hasn't figured out a way to get around the Lowe's cowardice sooner. They're sickening.

I am picking out the companies that I buy from. I think that works best. I see a lot of long rants about why the Duggars are bad on these company's social media but I think a better approach is telling them that you love their pizza, drinks, or store and you will stop shopping there. Company's sometimes care more about their pockets then doing the right thing.

Thats what I did. When I could I emailed representatives that I have relationships with like Allstate. I've had them for ALL my insurance since high school and I told my agent and corporate that I will cancel if they advertise. I'm not a millionaire, but I pay on time and have not cost them money.

Thank you so much for doing this. I tried to keep track of the sponsors during the last season and I could not force myself to watch the show anymore because I am so repulsed by what the Duggars consider to be "normal", among other things. You're right. I love to snark, too, but this has to end.

I only buy cruelty-free products. You should not buy any Clorox products because that company tests on animals. :penguin-no: You can download the Cruelty-Cutter app (from the Apple Store or Google Play) to find out easily which companies are known to hurt animals. It's from the Beagle Freedom Project great group that rescues dogs and cats from lab testing.

There is a Facebook group that is actively also involved with messaging the sponsors. Am I allowed to post the link to the Facebook group? They want more members. They currently have about 300 or so. The group is called Contacting the Sponsors #nomoreduggars

I'm a member of that group, they are really doing a great job. I'm not as persistent as many of the people there, but they are pretty much contacting every possible sponsor they can come up with.
