Oh, dear, dreadful news for the Joshter. Hollywood Life says that Vivid Entertainments, which produces porn, isn't willing to employ him. Not that he seems to have applied for the job, and thank goodness. But still--being 27 years old (is that right?) and told that, sorry, you're not the kind of studly dude a porn company would hire: gosh, that would be bad news for a man whose father's claim to fame is that he has a penis and has used it recklessly.

Did Josh go on any of the trips abroad that the family made? Did he seem to like any of them a lot? He's got a passport; maybe he cleaned out his and Anna's accounts (if she was even on them) and fled the country. Would that really surprise us, in the son of Jim Bob Sleazebag Duggar?

Sheesh, I'd leave the country in his shoes, even if it meant that I slept in a homeless shelter and washed dishes in the back room of a restaurant illegally for years. Maybe he's a (relatively) free man in Paris?

Cynical, horrible me thinks he'd run off to Thailand. Cheap cost of living, (most importantly) a roaring sex trade with plenty of girls who won't know who he is (since he's indistinguishable from the dozens of doughy, pathetic white guys they get as clients...those poor girls), easy to get off the grid if you ditch your US SIM card and just get a burner phone there and stay off social media.

When I was in a 28-day inpt rehab years ago (secular, but WAYYYY too much AA, IMNSHO--they actually steered me away from SMART/Rational Recovery), they pretty much kept us inside a lot. Like, you'd be all excited after 3 weeks to go to an outside AA meeting (they'd have visiting speakers to bring the meetings to us).

Any reason why RU can't have onsite meetings and church services for the select few, or possibly arrange closed-circuit video or something? One way to get Josh "in the mold" while out of the world, while keeping him in the pretty grueling routines of a total institution.

I'm seriously wondering if he was secretly slated for "treatment" :roll: at RU originally, but The Family spooked between the fast identification/media coverage of the place, combined with the less savory elements. Could VERY easily see them asking RU to hang onto Joshie undercover for a couple days, then having him smuggled out under a blanket and sent to another camp.

Because, one thing sure and two things certain, all that boy NEEDS is to turn his heart to prayer and his hands to work, and All Will Be Fixed.

So I poked around Danica's Twitter. Looks like she went to Colorado City and Utah earlier in the summer to gawk at the FLDS.

I guess I find that fascinating since many of us FJers gawk and snark at them too. They fit right in with our topic of patriarchal systems and their abuses. If Danica likes to examine the FLDS, then would she be more aware of Quiverful and the Duggars than she admits?

Just speculation. Then again, she had a post supporting legalization of polygamous marriage, too.
