RC Sproul Jr. Caught in Ashley Madison Hack!

Polyamory for the win. No need for Ashley Madison accounts. :-)

Pretty sure poly people can and do cheat on their partner(s).

Edited to clarify: not all of them obviously! Just the assholes!

I really want Lori A husband to have a AM account, that would make my day, thinking about it my year.

What a freaking moron! He heard about the hack, knew he had registered on the site and still thought it was OK to finger-wag others about getting busted? Maybe doesn't understand how the internet works.

That's what he said. :)

I'd like Lori to turn out to be the woman RC has been spanking.

You're going to play the "doddering old man" card at age 50? He makes it sound like after you've on the site a certain amount of time, your email address just drops on there, nothing you can do about that.

And my 75 year-old technology-averse father-in-law navigates the internet and uses a smart phone just fine. It's not rocket surgery.

I went to the site to see if you could do anything without registering. I put in what I was looking for, then clicked results. A box popped up for me to create an account. But behind that window, I could see a list of matching results. If I really was someone who didn't know what the site was and went out of curiosity, at that point I'd say "oh, I see" and go away. I'm not going to bother creating an account, even a free one, if I'm not at least considering contacting someone.

I'm with the posters who said there's more to this. Why wouldn't he just say "huh? I don't know, someone must have used my email address, it's an old one, lots of people had it."

Instead there's a long explanation, which just makes you look guilty.

No one with even one working eye or for that matter a blind person with software that reads to them can be confused about what AM is for, their fucking tagline is: Life is short. Have an AFFAIR.

FFS, people. Stop lying and adding to your "sins!"

Yesterday Lori's blog was all about how adultery was no reason for a divorce...maybe that's a warm up for some "news".

Make it polygamy and you have the Most Biblical of Biblical Marriages.

Meanwhile, Pa Botkin and Perry C. shift uncomfortably in their chairs...

I can't remember where I read last week (but it was on the internet so it had to be true, rihgt right?) a prediction that at least 400 ministers/deacons would be announcing their resignations from the pulpit last Sunday, on account of their Ashley Madison memberships.

[edited for riffle]

Thanks for mentioning that article, Fundiewatcher and BlackAliss. Here's the link is anyone wants it: christianitytoday.com/edstetzer/2015/august/my-pastor-is-on-ashley-madison-list.html

I think the 400 pastors estimate may be low. Christianity Today seems to be in a panic.

Reading these CT articles now makes me think that someone else found Spanky's information on the list of hackees and forced his hand, either directly or indirectly (via Ligonier "Ministries").

I think Ashley Madison will be gifting us with snark fodder for a long time to come. :popcorn2:

I don't feel sorry for the want-to-be cheaters, but the site itself is selling a scam. There are almost no actual women on the site. Members paid for services (like hard data wipes) they never received. Now it turns out their security was never as good as they promised. Ashley Madison itself is the ultimate scammer here.

I was riding my bicycle today and as I was pedaling along I was thinking that if Spanky was as internet naive as he claims, he would have given Ms. Precious Emkahfuyeh or a Nigerian Prince his bank account and routing number without a second thought.

When he says he doesn't know how the internet work, it means he can't believe he was hacked! As in, WTF!!!!! HOW DID THEY DO THAT?

Yup, tip o' the iceberg for Mr. Kilty Spanky.

As much as I delight in the exposure of hypocrites like Sproul, the AM hack exposed a lot of people pursuing gay affairs from countries where homosexuality is illegal, and so has put them at serious risk. I think people who marry so they don't get imprisoned or worse for their sexuality aren't in the same category as 'regular' cheaters.

Take this with a grain of salt, as the source was a commenter on Jen's Gem's blog, but most seem to think it's credible. The article is about patriarchy and the collapse of DPIAT/R, but it also details how RC, Jr., practiced his patriarchy by spanking his wife when she was out of line. If it's true, it's one of th most disturbing things I've ever read. And it gives a whole new perspective on the lonely widower...

James McDonald made one of his little Walk Talk videos to address the Ashley Madison hack, but he first feels the need to tell us about how Stacy treated his back pain with an essential-oils massage. "But I won't go into detail about that," he says with a leering grin.

Thanks for posting that link, punkiepie. It is the reason many of us refer to R.C. Jr. as Spanky. Rather an obscure reference now I think about it. We should be clearer for newer posters. :)

I rarely comment on personal appearance, but Spanky is one of the few (very few) men who just cannot rock a kilt.

He says that Stacy is the wife of his youth.

Really, James? Weren't you & Stacy BOTH married to other people in your youth before you were each divorced and remarried to each other?

And now Stacy McDonald weighs in on Ashley Madison with a post on her long-neglected blog (yoursacredcalling.com/blog/2015/09/ashley-madison-scandal/):

Behind the keyboards of those “haters†out there who are calling for the spiritual lynching of Josh Duggar or our family’s personal friend, RC Sproul Jr., lie the hearts of fornicators, homosexuals, child molesters, adulterers, and people in bondage to porn. It’s the world. They’re watching.

I got bored reading through that blog post, so to be honest, I just kind of skimmed through the thing. It sounded to be in a very angry voice, though. What I did notice were the bizarre graphics she chose for this post--a shadowy man crouching, skulls gazing at a sprawled human body, and then a family playing London Bridge at the end of the post. What in the world?

Hey, Stacy -- do you understand this whole thing? It's the people who got caught in the hack that are adulterers, schmuck.

Stacy, I have never been unfaithful in a relationship, have never molested a child (in fact, I teach and protect them) and am not in bondage to porn.

I've also never preached, told others how to live their lives, or held myself up as a paragon of Christian virtue.

I think I am on pretty solid ground to be scornful of people who have been mind-bogglingly self-righteous and hateful, and then got caught in the AM hack.
