This morning the Cirrus has filed a flight plan to go from Springdale to Elk City, Oklahoma. Scheduled to depart 10:10am their time, which I think is in about half an hour from now.

Are there any strip clubs in Elk City. :lol:

The airplane is making a very brief stop in Elk City, and then it's scheduled to fly to Amarillo, Texas.

It looks like they are either picking someone up in Elk City or are dropping someone off. The flight plan for Amarillo was filed much later than the plan for Elk City, which is a little odd.

It is always possible that these flights are merely training flights, mind you.

It looks like there is some weather sprouting just east of Amarillo. Nothing serious yet, but it might be building. That may delay the departure to Amarillo. Small airplanes and thunderstorms do not play nicely together.

Cirrus; Springdale, AR to Elk City, OK; 90 minutes; 325 miles west; five hours by car.

Oklahoma is fertile ground for Gothard bullshit--the Pecans are there all the time for one thing or another, but I don't know if they go that far west. The Pecans' movements would be worth tracking, imo; they are constantly on the go for ATI, but mostly they use Josh's RV which unfortunately doesn't get reported to a handy dandy website like Flight Aware.

I think the only rehabs here are for drug related problems. I know of a place in Lubbock too but I don't think they cater to porn addiction. If I can get a time for the landing I could definitely scout the small airport where they will most likely land. :wink-kitty:

I'm okay with observing at a public location, which an airport definitely is. There is no expectation of privacy in a public airport.

Elk City, OK to Amarillo, TX: approx 150 miles west; 40 minutes by plane, 2 hours by car on Interstate 40--pretty much a straight line with a high speed limit, I'm guessing. There's no way I could cover that much ground in two hours where I live; I'm jealous. Maybe I should move to the prairie, or get a Cirrus. :D

I honestly can't believe I did this. It's really funny on my part.

Anyways, I camped out for an hour at 2 runways and was lucky enough to spot the plane. Thanks to a fellow member directing me to the correct one. So basically there wasn't any activity that I could see. I'll post the pic as soon as I get imgur and fit the picture so you can all see what it looks like.

If you took the photo using an iPhone you can email it to yourself and choose a smaller size when you do. You can then open the photo in the email and save it. It will save in the smaller format.
