Ideas for future Duggar's businesses

Last night in the on call room we came up with a list of potential businesses for the Duggar's, since none of the have an education.

1) Open the TTH as an AirBNB- I am sure a lot of the leg humpers would use it.

2) Become Uber drivers-they have enough vehicles

3) Start an You Tube cooking show

4) Open a second hand store or EBay site to sell off all their crap that they received for free

5) Open an RV park on their property

6) Make and start selling their homemade laundry soap and other stuff on Esty

 

I am sure are others ones-these are only the PG rated ones.

Realistically I think it will be storage units. Jim Bob already has some and they are cheap to put up and who really looks into who owns their storage unit?

I also think they will continue to find rental homes to buy. It is all about having some monthly cash flow and doing minimal work for them.

I wonder if they will look at rentals outside of their area? I recently had my house up for sale and got an offer the first day but had no less then 12 offers from people out of state looking to buy homes in my school district to turn into rentals. I wish I had it in me to be a landlord because I saw these investors make a killing.

If they are smart, they've put the teenagers to work already selling off all their stored surplus crap on EBay.

RV park on their property is a good idea-- are they close enough to any scenic attractions to get any business?

Not a business per say but in a year Josh will write a book on overcoming sexual sin and start his own ministry on it. He'll travel around the country doing speaking engagements and attempt to rein back in the gaggle of Duggar fans.

I just came from a food truck festival. Seemed most if not all were family run. And they seemed to be bringing in money too. There aren't festivals ever day but there are businesses who have employees that go out for lunch daily. I'm sure there are places around town they could set up. It is also hard work.

We have seen a few Duggars that don't seem interested in work apart from cameras and fame. I can't see the currently old enough to work Duggars doing something that requires long days, heavy lifting or getting dirty.

I speculate that many Duggar kids will be Professional Christians or griters.

EDIT: Removed my suggestion. I don't even get a thrill snarking on them anymore, the whole thing is so twisted and tragic and there are so many underage kids that are involved and affected. It's just sad.

I wish they would get proper help from psychiatrists and would spend their lives warning and lecturing about the dangers of cults and help others to get out.

Well, they have a concert pianist in the family :liar: who can probably give music lessons. She can also give sewing lessons or do dress alterations in her spare time.

The kids have learned how to do things so they don't have to pay others to do it. They can flip houses.

The girls can run a flower shop and make bouquets.

The female J'Slaves could work as nannies and housekeepers for other families. It would basically be the same as in the TTH, except that they would get paid and would have time off.

In all seriousness, I think the house flipping idea is the best one, especially for Josh (because really, who else will hire him except maybe the porn industry, to cash in in poking fun of his upbringing and his scandal).

But other ideas...

*JB and J'chelle could pitch "Peace-n-Calm," their natural supplement company that promotes natural downers. "See how I stay perma-calm in all situations?" (J'chelle)

* Ginger can totally become a photographer for hire, especially for births, newborns, and uber large families.

* Nike might use Duggar men in a Duggar's code word "Nike" commercial (Would it be bad to wonder if porn star Danica Dillon might be the perfect "temptation" in the ad?)

* JB could start a tree cutting business. He seems jealous and competitive with Gil Bates in everything else, so why not see if he could one up him in trimming bushes?

What I'd like to see, but I know would never happen: Is for the older Duggars to branch out on their own, maybe make a move to NYC to start their lives over.

John David: Could live in the city and take a job on Wall Street by becoming a personal pilot for some big financial company CEO's.

Jana: Could go to Parson School of Design, become inspired by Tim Gunn and start her own line of fashionable but modest clothing, she'll become a success and eventually become the host of her own Project Runway show on UP called Project Fundway.

Jinger: With her love of photography will attend NYU, and after leaving college she will work for major magazines like "Parents". She will start a "Fundie's of New York" webpage, photographing Fundies around the city doing NYC style fundie things.

Joseph: After completing Crown College will join his siblings in NYC and become a professor of Religion at NYU. Although still true to his Christian upbringing he will emphasize the importance to his students about taking the time to learn about different religions in order for the students to make a personal choice on their spirituality.

Josiah: Having never completely bought into the Fundie teaching that dance is wrong, he will become a big hit in musical theater in NYC. He will be acclaimed for his role in "Jesus Christ Superstar" and win many Tony awards. Years later he reunites with Marjorie who also has had some success herself on the musical theater scene and they reconcile and get an apartment together overlooking Central Park.

Joy-Anna: With her sweet servant heart but love for adventure will become an Emergency Room Nurse in NYC. She will comfort the sick and dying while respecting their religious preference. She will meet and marry a Jewish neurosurgeon and raise their 2 children on Long Island, inter-faithfully.

My guess is property too. It's something Jim Boob and J'Chelle are experienced in and they know their way around the market. If not they'll probably send the boys off to work (certainly not the girls. They need to stay at home and be sistermums).

From what I've learned here on free jinger, the area they live in is growing and some big companies, like Walmart, have their headquarters there. Which means, that there are a lot of people in the area who earn a decent salary. So there are probably oppurtunities to offer people to deal with things they themselves are either too busy or to lazy to do themselves. From gardening, to housekeeping, to kid or dog sitting, these things can be managed by someone who has only a SOTDRT education.

It would be possible for the Duggar kids to start such businesses, but those will probably not make enough to support a Duggar plus his future family of eleventy kids.

The duggars should try "professional" couponing since they buy huge amounts of groceries anyway. Just watch TLC and learn! Let all those kids cut out coupons and organize them. On one episode of Extreme Couponing (Am I watching too much TLC?) some woman bought stuff worth more than Josh's two AM accounts combined and she did not pay for it, the store paid her like $ 30 or so.

Well, if FJ is right about which place he went to, Josh could go back to work there after his "successful treatment". That's what some of the people who work at RU did - participated in the program, then returned to work there.

Is it weird I would totally go to a TTH rehab just to screw with everyone and challenge their beliefs? And throw some worldly situations from my life (and imagination) into the mix ;) that house would be great for hosting a rehab clinic. There's even dorms ready to go.
