ok, so can I summeraze a little bit here? I did it once here on the forum and I'll say it again:

- They used to be or still are in contact with a former police officer who was in possession of child porn

- They are in contact with Gothard (who molests underaged girls, in his JTTH camps)

- They are in contact with a TLC crew member who is in possession of child porn

- Josh got caught looking at porn at work when he was around 16, 17-ish. Remember that was around 2005 when it was not as easy as it is today to just open a website for porn, do I remember correctly?

People, can't you see what is going on here?

Josh may have been a victim as a child himself! Maybe he saw it somewhere else being done to children?

My God those poor children! I can't write what I want to write here because, I don't know, ... to dangerous? Having several people as your friends or aquaintances who are in possession of child porn plus a camera crew around? WTF???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is why I will NEVER EVER put my children on a reality show. I mean, it's one thing if my future children are actors because they're not going to be filmed in compromising situations when they're children, and I can be with them at all times when they're on set to help protect them. But never reality TV. Never. There are no boundaries in reality TV, and you never know when you're child is going to be in a compromising position. And then you get people who are more than happy to take advantage of their vulnerability (like Scott, who thought it was more than acceptable to film Josie when she had an accident because "why not?") and then that vulnerability gets to someone who can spend hours watching it. Hell to the fucking no. Not on your life. Never.

Which is why I'm so disturbed a longtime friend of mine's still thinking about letting TLC turn his family into the next circus.

Being an editor would be an ideal job for a pedophile trying not to be caught. It's not like the old days when they would actually cut apart film stock. Everything is computerized. I wonder how much video footage has fallen into the hands of creeps who pass around images of children. I'd be very nervous if I were one of those parents whose children were filmed.

Yeah, they really need to be told. TLC, A&E, and Discovery fiddle around my area quite often, it's like a casting room for hillbilly drama television. When I was in middle school (many, many moons ago), TLC got to filming a never-aired special at my friend's family's house, I can only guess for one of those shows where they compare families in different lifestyles. Anyway, they stirred up trouble and got feelings hot between everyone, and somehow it made it to the parents that my friend was questioning her sexuality and the encounter ended when she tried to kill herself.

TLC needs to go back to filming subpar shows like A Baby Story and ER reality shows. The more you look for families that go against normality, the chances for abuse spike up much, much higher.

I do not pay for TLC, but I do peruse cCloudTV now and again, an online TV stream, and last night TLC had a show on, "Answered Prayers", hosted by that woman from "Touched by an Angel". HAHA, I couldnt do it... :roll:

Anyway. The only reason this "news" its circulating again is because Radaronline is taking advantage of their recent Duggar-Clickbait. I rolled my eyes - its old news!! They advertise the story on their site by suggesting the Duggars themselves were personally victimized by the guy, rather than indirectly. They want those clicks and views for their advertisers!! It is a fairly trashy site.

Trading spaces got old because of the designers crazyiness over real tips people could use. It has been 10 years, I think styles have changed and the economy isn't that great in many areas, so I think a ton of viewers would love to see 1-2K makeovers. While it is nice to see dream 50k kitchens, I don't know many people to have 50k to blow these days. I think TLC is missing that people would watch for the cheap design tips and could care less if it was Vern, Hildi or some new designer. Im sure there would be a ton of designers lined up to be in trading spaces 2.0.

Trading spaces got old because of the designers crazyiness over real tips people could use. It has been 10 years, I think styles have changed and the economy isn't that great in many areas, so I think a ton of viewers would love to see 1-2K makeovers. People will always love make-over shows, whether it be clothing or rooms. I think TLC really fucked up by focusing on freak-show families. They could at least try to be respectable as a channel. But I guess there's no money in that.
