Ok...baby #5 was born 10/14 and she's knocked up AGAIN??? Already? Holy shit...There's no way on earth...I'd be telling the old man to tie a knot in it, go watch a porno flick and develop an intimate relationship with his hand, preferably from the other side of the country!!

I had 3 in 7 1/2 years and THAT was too close together!

7 kids in 6 years - I'd something a hell of a lot stronger than sweet tea and buttermilk to get me through that!

You made me spit my coffee all over my desk and I'm at the office right now :o    !!!!!! You.are.hilarious.

And holy moly. I don't know how she will handle her bunch of kiddos. Though she'd probably never admit it, I guess she feels pretty overwhelmed right now. I hope they look into some kind of childcare supporting them in their everyday life. Otherwise I can see a lot of blankettraining and other horrible stuff going on.

Michelle had 10 children in 9 years, from Jana/JD to Jed/Jer. So she once had TEN CHILDREN UNDER NINE. Plus Josh. Dear Lord....

And Josh was only about 11.

No wonder shemacts the way she does.

My 2 doors down neighbor had a toddler when I moved here... about 1-1.5 and had started work toward adopting a Chinese girl. While adoption process was ongoing, she got pregnant with twins and ended up adopting an infant about 3 months after babies were born. Work, but sweet and she was managing it. she unexpectedly ended up pregnant very soon with twins again... and I had never seen anyone look as tired. Her mom was around all the time, during the pregnancy to help out and she had at least one and sometimes 2 mother's helpers plus her mom and plus housekeeping help after the babies.

What does this Sweet tea and buttermilk's husband do for a living? Can he feed and diaper these kidlets, much less hire help as needed on his income or is she going to be on her own--because the "buddies" to raise the babies are not old enough in her situation.....

Better her than me is all I can say. And good luck to them all.

I think he is a pastor. And didn't they move to another state a few years back? I have never really been into this family. Do they have any relatives nearby that could pitch in? Maybe they get their very own equivalent to ZZ's Navajo Nanny.

Plus the oldest 3 are boys, and she only has 1 girl so far. Doesn't leave a lot of help available for wimmin's work.

I really hope her baby factory stops sooner than later. And without any severe medical conditions or losses. But I guess I'm probably too optimistic.

ophelia, They did move...to NM. Apparently NM needed a new church or something. No idea how he's going to care for all the children at the rate they are bringing them into the world. Clint just turned 5 and she's already expecting numbers 6 and 7.

She's already had a placenta previa with her daughter. Churning them out like this, it's just not healthy. I worry for her safety and the safety of the babies. Not to mention the other children if something goes wrong... :?

How old is she? Mid-20s? If she continues like this she will have more kids than Michelle, especially if she has more twins.

Didn't two of her children require NICU stays?

Her birthday was a couple of weeks ago; I'm not sure, but I think she turned 31.

She is probably lucky that she wasn't one of these teen-brides that get married off with 18/19 years. She' would have 10 until now.

... or maybe 12.

But in all seriousness, I definitely second the sentiment. Thank the :fsm: that she didn't get married until her mid-20s.

Their families are both from the South (Georgia? The Carolinas?) and Courtney was the oldest of several of them, so I don't know how much support she'll have from the family.

Courtney is from North Carolina and Christopher is from Georgia. He met the family at a Bible conference. He asked one her brothers about corresponding with her and was told to ask dad.next thing you know they are writing each other, finally meeting in person, courting and engaged and married in 2 years or less..They moved to Georgia for the first 4 years of marriage and then New Mexico.

Clay #2 was born on August 4,20111.he was 12 days late.

My mom had 10 kids in 11 years, good catholics, there was a miscarriage after number 10 with really bad hemorrhaging. This put an end to the babies, but was not permitted to have her hysterectomy at the catholic hospital where she delivered all her babies. religion and baby making are never safe for the mother.
