GOP chair?!? oh please let him win...just think what buffoonery will become public record. The sound bites, the attempts to disenfranchise women and Catholics, the inevitable public moment when the mask slips...I am breathless with anticipation.

A choice morsel from Nattie's bio page:

Nathaniel’s family have been long-time activists in the Republican Party. In fact, the year before Nathaniel was born his parents were married by the late Dr. Jerry Falwell, founder of the Moral Majority.

Anyone else remember the bumper sticker often seen during Falwell's heyday - "The Moral Majority is neither?"

Oh, this is going to be fun...

That is interesting, as the Theonomist group where he is one of the group owners (as well as other Theonomist and Convenanter Groups) are often divided about participation in politics.

Apparently, he falls on the side of participating....

I would think his marriage status would hurt him politically. I know some people suspect he is gay. You at least think he would arrange a lavender marriage or something.

If you'd like to sing along with Nate and Brantley:

ETA: I know that "11thgagop" in the website address refers to the 11th district in Georgia, and the GOP, but I can't help thinking of it as my 11th opportunity to gag at something Nate has done -- 11th gag op.

It's probably been many more than 11, though.

When questioned, he'll just shake his head and sigh mournfully while referring to his brief, failed courtship. That should win him lots of sympathy votes!

Isn't he active or following that awful theonomy group on Facebook? Someone who lives in GA put the word out about that. This guy has no place in politics...and on a local level he might have a chance without proper electorate education.

His opponent really needs to know about Theonomist Reconstructionists-- and so do the voters!

ETA: Having said that, I do so hope that his political demise is as slow, painful, and entertaining as possible.

I had no idea he lived so close to me

Neither did I. Who can we contact about him? Someone who is openly contemptuous of democracy shouldn't be running for office. Than again, JB Duggar is too but he got elected... :shifty-kitty: :?

I would say that Theonomist Reconstructionists make JB Duggar look like a complete moderate compared to their views. JB would be content banning abortion and gay marriage and scaling back the welfare state. These people would like to imprison and stone homosexuals, punish you for premarital sex, punish you for economic activity on the sabbath (the SUNDAY sabbath that is...because there's a whole bunch of biblical proof that the new testament made the sabbath on Sunday instead of Saturday  ) and lets not even get into their ideas about rape and rape victims...life in JB Duggar's world would be a cakewalk compared to what the theonomists want.

I always assumed that JB Duggar was a theonmist, or at least a fellow traveller; he's definitely not a deep thinker so I doubt that political theory is something he thinks about, but the groups he associates with are theonmist -- VF especially but I think theonomy is implied in ATI -- so I assumed that he was in that camp.

No. I am pretty much certain, just knowing something about the asisinine minutiae these people consider Major Theological Differences that JB is not a theonomist. Theonomists and reconstructionists have very specific beliefs about eschatology (end of days) and their belief in ushering in God's kingdom on earth through govt is wrapped up in all that. For them it is a biblical mandate on a totally different level. JB is more your garden variety Christian right type who believes in America's "judeo Christian" heritage and wants to preserve it from...you know...actual liberty for all people.

Oh Nattie -- read your bio and was surprised by some gaps in your account. For instance, what happened to the YEARS you worked for Doug Phillips Is a Rapist and Vision Forum? Why isn't any of that shite on your bio?! Too bad for you that many of us have all of that stuff screen-capped & available for distribution to your opponents.

And then there's the Reconstructionist Thenomists FB page...

I don't think much of anyone would care. His kind is pretty entrenched in Cobb/North Fulton. I know the recently elected state legislator from this area as well, and he is very Natty-like with his young frat boy patriarchical nonsense. This is Phil Gingrey's old district; Gingrey is a flipping loon. I go to a lot of fancy things because of work and had the horror of meeting with and listening to Gingrey a year or two ago. All of us progressive pinkos were texting each other furiously during the speech portion.vI would honestly rather have Natty than that horrid, incompetent doctor. I have no idea how the man made it through med school.

I am happily ensconced in John Lewis' district. JOHN LEWIS!

Yes, he seems to have conveniently glossed over his days as a Vision Forum intern, serving at Dougie's beck and call - there's only the most general mention of his involvement with the "independent Christian film movement." Not to mention, why isn't he waxing rhapsodic about one-man-one-woman-married "NORMATIVITY" in all that campaign rhetoric?? Inquiring minds want to know! :naughty:

Nathaniel, here's a trip down memory lane -- your blog post about Peter Bradrick's wedding, which you actually titled "Afterglow." :?

perseveronews.com/afterglow-2/

There you are with Dougie and the boys, referring to your intern group as The First Brigade and spouting about Normativity (which I still think is the name of a character in the all-VF remake of Sunset Boulevard).

I suspect this is all part of his secret plot to win a Botkinette. Imagine how glorious his campaign would be with

one (it doesn't matter which one) of those beautiful spinsters by his side. A political campaign will surely impress

Pappy Botkin and convince him that Nattie is worthy to win one (it doesn't matter which one) of their fragile

hands in holy matrimony.

OMG, this is delightful! This will be so much fun to watch! Good find, Marian! Darnell, the internet is forever -- don't you think for a moment we're going to let you forget that.

And, Normativity indeed. It's gonna come back to haunt ya!

I'm on the floor LOL. Normativity Desmond is a meek, submissive and sturdy woman of God!

I'm ready for my close up Mr. Darnell!

Someone should screecap some of these photos and captions (many of which read as gay porn) in case he decides it's in his best interest to make it private.

And Doug Phillips is a Tool/Rapist.
