Sister Wives: Kody the Idiot Divorces Meri to Marry Robyn

Well, Meri looks positively thrilled (not) in that photo...

The last thing this family needs is another dependant. Do any of the adults have real jobs or are they full-time "reality stars"? Since all reality families implode eventually, what are they going to fall back on when the show ends? I guess there's always the wonderful world of Mormon multilevel scams.

Damn Gina, Meri's tweet wishing Robyn and Kidy a "happy" anniversary seems pretty snarky:

Happy anniversary @LuvgvsUwngs & @realkodybrown . Happy for you that you are celebrating 5 years of what you've always been looking for.

I think one or two of the wives have a job in selling real estate..and don't forget the sisterwives closet thing Robyn is so proud off and is doing sooooo well

Ouch! Can't figure any way in which that could read as non-snarky :?

That was snark on a level even Meri hasn't reached before. Im wondering how long it is until Kody and the wives of 4 become Kody having a "epitomy" and spiritual awaking he needs one legal wife only. Robyn bounced Meri, one down two to go.

I know the word is epiphany but years ago some one I worked with (she wasn't the brightest crayon in the pack) piped up I HAD A LIFE CHANGING EPITOMY. After she walked away we all cracked up but the word stuck and we used it when we were snarking.

Count me in the club of believing that Meri is on her way out. The only question is will she sever her ties with the rest of the family? She could easily just decide that Kody and she will no longer be acting like a married couple and just participate in family activities. I could see her slowly withdrawing from the wive's council, My Sister's Wive's Closet and anything else she doesn't want to do.

She does look really miserable in that photo. I probably wouldn't have really noticed it just glossing over the photo, but phew...girlfriend ain't happy.

The snark is even bigger at Kody than Robyn in that tweet; Robyn's apparently had a tough time of it, but Kody's been yammering about living a great life and loving his whole family. Yikes.

I think the only thing keeping Meri around is her unwillingness to break apart her daughter's family. Those are still Meriah's dad and siblings. Plus, if she leaves, she is cutting herself off from all future grand babies and weddings and Christmases with the family and that's got to be scary. The cons just outweigh the pros.

Wow! Meri is looking and sounding even unhappier than before. Another kid for that family to raise. Has Kody ever worked that we've seen? I remember Janelle seemed to be the main breadwinner before Kody forced their move to Vegas (I say forced because he was so insistent on the show, then cried victim when investigators came to do their jobs). I hope someone gets out of that lifestyle. Meri could make a good role model for the kids; I hope the next generation doesn't remain trapped.

What a scumbag. He won't have a baby with Meri, but has one with Robyn.

Meri has difficulty becoming/staying pregnant. They discussed in vitro, but Meri was getting up in years, and she may not have been a good candidate. They discussed Robun being a gestational carrier. Both these ploys were most likely a plot line in the show.

Just yesterday, I got the urge to re-watch the Kody and Robyn honeymoon episode. It is amazing to see the difference in the Pre-Las Vegas Browns! Robyn was so upbeat and giggly and young seeming. She seemed like she hadn't a care in the world. They went surfing and zip-lining on their honeymoon and Robyn kept saying she was willing to die trying these activities, because they were part of her "life list." and if you can't die for your life list, what can you die for? She sounded like a teenager, not a mom of 3. Not trying to bash her enthusiasm, just pointing out how different they all were. Kody was so enamored with her. They went to the San Diego Zoo and slow danced and hugged and kissed every 5 minutes. Meanwhile back at home, Janelle, Christine, and Meri really talked and shared about their feelings. They were so open with each other, validating each other's feelings and giving insight into each other's personalities and relationships. It was nothing like the closed off, cold, forced "friendship" we have seen post move to Las Vegas. The Vegas version of the Browns that put together the family mission statement and had the family commitment ceremony just seem like a different family from the Utah version. Eye opening. :pink-shock:

You're right that they were definitely different in the beginning, though I definitely felt no love for Robyn then either.

If you meant you also think the Browns seemed miserable putting together their mission statement etc, I'd agree.

Yes, that's what I meant, sorry. They started trying harder to show everyone they are committed to being one family. It comes off a little desperate. Please believe us that this lifestyle is awesome! We only live separately because we had to move to Vegas and could only get these 4 mcmansions on a cul de sac, otherwise we would totally be sharing one house and living out our commitment to each other. Oh these giant "family rules" on the wall? They're to remind us that we are committed to each other! We love each other!

That's also what I think is keeping Meri around, that she doesn't want to cut herself off from future grandbabies, weddings, and holidays with the family. In a way, that's no different than other divorced couples who sometimes get together when an adult child gets married, or to be with grandchildren.

I don't think Kody had use for any of the wives other than Robyn, and they know it. I have no doubt that when the show is over, Kody and Robyn will ride off into the sunset together. Meri and Janelle have already checked out. Even Christine seems to be coming to the realization that Kody is done with her.

Kody had some type of job as a salesman when the show began.

I think this scenario is very likely. Meri could be acting like she's about to leave to bring attention to the show, but I think she really is unhappy. She's seemed super unhappy with the family since they moved to Las Vegas, when she's pictured without the family she seems happy which is very telling. A lot of rumors have been circling the internet that Meri is just staying for the show at this point, so I could see that she is sticking around to be with the family without acting like a wife any longer. It would be really hard for her to fake her body language and facial expressions to convey such unhappiness.

I won't be surprised if Robyn ends up as the last wife standing.

I wouldn't be surprised if that is exactly what Robyn wants.

Of course he was a salesman. Just like JB used to sell cars. What is it with these hyper-controlling men going into sales? There are obviously good salesmen out there, but these guys seem to flock to it as a way to hone their skills of manipulation.

I don't know if I see Christine leaving, but I could definitely see Janelle and Meri wanting the hell out. Christine has always wanted to be a plural wife. I can't imagine her striking it out on her own. Even if she's unhappy, she's still "fulfilling her duty."

Oh, and question about their brand of Mormonism, divorce, and the afterlife- if a man has all those wives, and you're supposed to be with them all in the afterlife (Celestial Kingdom, I think it's called?)- are you still with them if you divorce, or are they not part of it anymore? I know this is worded a little weird, I hope it's clear what I'm trying to ask.

You are sealed for eternity at marriage but a couple can be unsealed [by their ministers]. Then the wife better hurry up and find a new man to get sealed to because if you aren't sealed, you don't get the afterlife perks. Men can be sealed to many women, but women can only be sealed to one man at a time. One of the reasons women are subservient is that the husband can unseal the wife at any time, at which point her eternal fate hangs in the balance.

For the sake of the kids, I could actually see the 3 original wives staying around, but keeping Cody out of their beds. They all have their own houses, I could see Kody staying with Robyn and wondering in/out of the other houses during the day to see the kids. The women do seem rather devoted at raising all the kids as brothers and sisters. They just need to untangle their finances.

I love baseball but I'm dreading the new season because the White Sox ownership is THE FUCKING WORST. I watched Dominican League Baseball (Lidom!) over the winter and fell in love with their joy, spirit, and exuberance. The broadcasts were in Spanish and my Spanish is pretty weak but I loved catching phrases and repeating them. Bombe! I'm sad about MLB and Commissioner Idiota's busywork rules. But I love baseball, always and forever.
I guess I don't have a point. Just bitching. Te amo mucho, Lidom!

      Happy International Women's Day!

Humanity may have some work to do, to improve gender equality, but I was glad to hear that France has taken an important step to protect healthcare for women (and people of other genders who can get pregnant).

Feeling ragey this morning. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon in the hope of getting help for an ongoing injury. I went to a (different!!) doctor late last year who completely blew me off. He wouldn't do diagnostic testin, he refused to send me to a specialist, and he just told me to "take it easy" and "take ibuprofen." I'm hopeful for today's appointment but I'm also feeling a SEVERE amount of rage at that doctor from last year!

Well, the rash is back with a vengeance. It never completely cleared up. I saw the derm yesterday and they did another swab and yup, raging infection again, still? It is definitely strep skin infection. I am getting so damn tired and run down from this. Who the f would immagine being hospitalized freaking TWICE for a rash?

My niece is going to be a seat filler at this year's Academy Awards.  Seat fillers are asked to wear tuxedos regardless of sex/gender.  If you see a pretty young woman with very curly hair, it could be my niece.

It’s not supposed to be mosquito season right now but I still appear to have been bitten twice on the side of my foot. Bastards. I know I shouldn’t scratch but it’s so tempting… 😑
