Happy Birthday Jed and Jer!

I hope they have a wonderful birthday but this makes me sad for some reason. I think it's because I am sure they will now be made to get their GED and Jim Bob will determine what jobs they undertake. Now they will be made to be mini adults whose future will be mapped out for them.

The facebook post on the Duggar family official bugged me.

The usual same descriptions for them they use for every single other child "so godly"

and the one that made me want to throw something: " It will be neat to see what God does with these two young men’s lives as they work together to impact the world for Christ!"

IT. WILL. BE. NEAT.

I hate the word neat so much ever since this family.

Sorry I get the middle ones so mixed up, isn't Jeremiah the scrappy little guy who likes to have fun with his homemade slingshot? I liked that he could have fun with what little he gets, especially considering his brother John David receiving a $750k plane. I mean it's terribly unfair, but I just was glad to see he manages to make the most of his unfortunate and neglected life.

For some reason out of all 19 kids they are the ones I have the most concern for. Maybe it's because they are in the middle and you don't see them as much.

I worry mostly about Josiah. Jed and Jer seem quiet and intelligent (or like they would be intelligent if they got an education), but at least they have each other. They seem to have the bond you expect from twins, the one John and Jana never had.

Can't have opposite sex siblings, even twins, being CLOSE now, can they? How else would the Duggars enforce their rigid gender roles? Though I assume Jana and JD were much closer as younger children, it's just that by the time the Duggars were discovered 10 years ago, they were already 14 and well into puberty so any closeness had to be squashed.

Sweet 16 and never been kissed...

It's hard to believe it's been nearly four years since JimBoob made that comment to Joseph.

I felt sooo bad for Joseph in that episode. Who announces shit like that?

I'm glad these twins at least seem to share a bond, unlike Jana and JD. I feel sorry for them.

Jer seems to be the smartest Duggar offspring (thoughtful, well(er) spoken, plays chess).

And Jed looks most like Grandpa Duggar in face and body habitus. He may be the tallest too--I think he's taller than Smugger now (he's certainly less wide at this point).

I hope that it ends up being the opposite, that maybe being out of the spotlight has allowed them to slide by with a bit more individuality and freedom than some of the other kids were able to manage. The benefit of being "one of the middle ones who we can't keep straight..."

It's hard to believe that in just a few years, more Duggar kids will be adults (and hopefully, out of that house) than not. Things will be very different, that's for sure.

If we're talking about kids we are worried about here...I'm more worried about the young ones that are going to be stuck in that house with a psychotic, crazed, baby-hungry aging Michelle. James seems utterly miserable every time he's around his parents. And poor Hannie, Jordyn and Jennifer. They might miss the days they were invisible when they're alone with Boob and Michelle 24/7. And even Josie - Michelle's going to lose interest with a spotlight-seeking youngest child reaaaally fast once there's new "precious grandbabies" nearby.

Why do they have to work together? I know these brothers are twins and close but they have their own interest and personalities. They might have different goals in how they want to impact the world for Christ.

Allow me to introduce you to Jim Bob and Michelle. They force all their kids into the same mold.

I think Jed & Jer are being forced together since it's easier for they-with-too-many to remember what 1 kid is up to instead of having to remember who does what where. So force them together and make believe they're 1 kid.

I'm not really worried about Jed & Jer. They seem to genuinely get along and I think they've figured out how to stay in the good graces of their bio-parents. The one I'm most concerned about lately is James. It can't be easy for him with Jill married, moved out, and about to have her own baby. I suspect he'd like to live with Jill and Derick, but can't. Of all the Duggar kids, he seems to be the one who will eventually decide that he's all in or all out of the ultra-fundie lifestyle - no in-between.

James always struck me as someone who frequently gets distracted by what I call "the flying squirrels," aka short attention span. Which is not going to be dealt with properly in that house.

ITA Jed and Jerry seem like the kind of kids who are naturally fairly well-behaved and easy to get along with, regardless of the parenting (or lack thereof ) they receive. James, as well as Jackson, seem like they really need a more disciplined and structured lifestyle. Their attention spans don't seem to be very long and they seem to have trouble focusing. JB probably doesn't think this is a problem, since neither James nor Jackson will be going to college but even a stock boy has to focus on his work. For some reason, I worry about James and Jackson the most, since they seem to be so ill- prepared for the future.

I am really surprise that Jessa posted a BIG happy birthday instagram for her brothers. Looks like she is the only one that really care about them, well the only one duggar with access to social media.

"Happy 16th Birthday to these amazing guys! #Twins! #NewlyLicensedDrivers!

Jedidiah inspires me with his heart full of love and compassion for the hurting and needy. He is passionate about sharing the gospel of Jesus! Whether in our own community or on a mission trip to another country, he's always sensitive to the needs of others and looking for ways to share the love of Christ. He always know just what to say to comfort a hurting heart and bring a smile to someone's face!

Jeremiah has been blessed with an amazing ability to memorize and retain things, and he's putting this gift to good use! While he'd never tell you himself, he's memorized chapters and chapters of Scripture. In fact, he's just finishing up with the book of Proverbs! Wow! It's not uncommon to see him in his room late at night--Bible open-- pouring over the Word. I've heard it said that you can tell a lot about a person's character by how they choose to spend their free time. So true! He inspires me.

Jedidiah & Jeremiah, it's been so amazing to watch y'all grow up and become such godly young men. So blessed to have y'all as my little brothers! ".

It bothered me that everyone used the same picture of the two for their "happy bday" posts. Sheesh they are your brothers and you don't have any more pictures of them?

"Jer, you're good at memorizing stuff for no reason. Way to go buddy."

My sweet pup was diagnosed with a brain tumor in September. She passed away in my arms on Thanksgiving morning. It all happened so fast. She didn't want to eat anything the day before, but prior to that was ok. Knew it was near time and had booked an appointment to take her next week. However, she decided for me. She was only 8 and really was one of the best dogs. She never met a stranger, human or dog. Life isn't the same without her.

I made my first Granny Square! After nearly 30 years of knitting and crocheting this was a project I never did. Until now! I needed something to do with my rest of very colourful yarn and now I am very happy. I need to try different needles with my yarns but I think I found something nice for the future.
I needed only 3 different youtube videos until I found a person who explained the concept slowly and repetitive and with words I can understand. I hate when these tutorials make me feel dumb.

We had to put our 14 year old dachshund, Trinket, down today.  She was fine Thursday, but by mid-morning yesterday, it was apparent that something was really wrong,  She had zero energy, lost her appetite and began walking into corners.  By morning I knew it was time for her to have her final visit to the vet.  She had lost about a pound and a half recently.  RIP, Trinket!

Horrific! A 6 year old boy was murdered, and mother severly injured, in a hate crime in Chicago. Reports say they are both Palestinian Muslims and were specifically targeted because of that. Thankfully the man who did it is in custody
      This is pure evil
