Jill has her own Wikipedia page

I saw that the other day and wondered how getting married and pregnant qualified for your own wiki page.

It doesn't. Or it shouldn't.

But she's a co-author AND a midwife! :orly:

Oh yes those are reasons for your own wiki page.

I do want to know who set it up though.

Unless someone can find definite proof that Jill set up her own wikipedia page, I don’t think it’s fair to accuse her of lying about her occupations. Looking at her page's history, it looks like her wikipedia was created by bunch of leghumper fans. I was under the impression that pretty much *anyone* can create a wikipedia page these days. And unlike Blessa, I have never heard Jill refer to herself as an author or co-author. She may or may not have called herself a midwife at one time but I’ve also heard her clarify many times that she’s still a student midwife and she’s never really hid that fact on the show.

that's my impression too: any wiki member can create or edit a page. i wouldn't be a bit surprised that a bunch of leghumpers put it together. i'm actually surprised it's taken this long for it to come about. i expect a blessa page soon.

can't you see who set it up? Wikipedia tracks two things, usernames or IP Addresses. If the person doesn't have a username, their IP address would be logged and it would be clear if the person doing it was in NWA. If its a username, I don't think they are required to give a location.

ETA: It was created by a user named LjoanneL4 and most of the edits have been done by someone in Wisconsin and someone in the UK

Next she'll be getting a people's choice award for getting knocked up.

This is the world the Duggar kids genuinely have come to expect, I think. "Our life is on TV - every time we fart it's newsworthy! Every instagram selfie is ministry!"

The Duggar kids are all either fucked up, or going to be. Everything they do is news-worthy. Except the little kids except Josie. They'll all be messed up because of attention-neglect.

Jill's page was started by a leghumper. The original version said, "born May 17, 1991 in Tonitown, Arkansas is a well trained mid-wife and the co- author a book, she is the daughte...'"

Well trained midwife? You mean a well, "trained" midwife? Missing punctuation there. She's also not a midwife. And "the co- author a book." A fellow SOTDRT-drop-out!

Off topic, but just for giggles, try tracking the Wiki page about Brigham Young for awhile.

"He was a polygamist Mormon leader who was responsible for the Baker-Fancher Party massacre!"

Few days later:

"No, he was a benevolent, kindly man who deplored the killings and those responsible in the Baker-Fancher Party massacre!"

And so it goes, flip-flop, depending on who's making the edits.

Here's a page that talks about the Mountain Meadows Massacre:

Why Josh didn't get a wiki page? He is also married and managed to make four kids. That's pretty much his only difference from Jill.

He's a boy he is expected to do more. Not much more but a little more.

No, that's not entirely true. The IP address would show where the persons connection hit the net - i.e. their ISP's location. I work in one part of our Sydney and our ISP is located in an entirely different part of Sydney. It would look like I was web-browsing from where our ISP hits the net, not from my offices location.

I'd edit the page except I can't think of anything to say, which is precisely why she shouldnt have a wiki page.

It should be edited to say that although Jill has expressed an interest in midwifery, her parents' wishes and those of Gothard prevent her from actually attaining any personal goals beyond wife and motherhood.

My sweet pup was diagnosed with a brain tumor in September. She passed away in my arms on Thanksgiving morning. It all happened so fast. She didn't want to eat anything the day before, but prior to that was ok. Knew it was near time and had booked an appointment to take her next week. However, she decided for me. She was only 8 and really was one of the best dogs. She never met a stranger, human or dog. Life isn't the same without her.

I made my first Granny Square! After nearly 30 years of knitting and crocheting this was a project I never did. Until now! I needed something to do with my rest of very colourful yarn and now I am very happy. I need to try different needles with my yarns but I think I found something nice for the future.
I needed only 3 different youtube videos until I found a person who explained the concept slowly and repetitive and with words I can understand. I hate when these tutorials make me feel dumb.

Someone please remind me to buy peanut butter. Seriously, I have been meaning to get some for at least three weeks, and everytime I remember, the shops are already closed!

You know what I hate most about subtle racism? The gaslighting. Stop cosplaying as a nice person and say it with your chest.

We had to put our 14 year old dachshund, Trinket, down today.  She was fine Thursday, but by mid-morning yesterday, it was apparent that something was really wrong,  She had zero energy, lost her appetite and began walking into corners.  By morning I knew it was time for her to have her final visit to the vet.  She had lost about a pound and a half recently.  RIP, Trinket!

Horrific! A 6 year old boy was murdered, and mother severly injured, in a hate crime in Chicago. Reports say they are both Palestinian Muslims and were specifically targeted because of that. Thankfully the man who did it is in custody
      This is pure evil
