So according to her if she does not understand it it is not scientific. Show her the fossils but don't say how they came about cause no one knows. Just a few years ago fossils were not even real seems creationists are slowly adapting.

I wonder if she knew she was being filmed, or if the person had a camera/glasses setup..

She's talking to the camera. I am gonna go out on a limb and say she knows she was being filmed

I only got about 2:30 minutes in when she started tearing up. I commend anyone brave enough to watch the whole thing.

Well, I thought it made sense although on the 30.2 secs I watched, she certainly didn't. On the other hand, I was completely out of my league on a conference call today discussing heavy and light chain knock in mice. However, I still believe antibodies exist.

Who the hell is Megan Fox?

Does she have any clue as to how stupid she sounds (I got about 30 seconds in)

notice, they have disabled comments. So, I think she knows.

OMG, her online life is hilarious! She's a professional angry dumbass. So far I've found a 5000 word rant about how they went to disney but had to wait in line for an hour to get their tickets activated, a campaign to harass her local public library over allowing free wifi. You know the type, the one who writes a letter to the local paper every week about some new outrage.

Yeah, she knew she was being filmed because she filmed it herself. Her intent was to "audit liberal bias" and to show how they promte their religion of Science without factual proof. Here's a couple of articles about her and what she was doing:

"In one example, Fox reads the information panel on an exhibit that details what paleontologists know about some of the first animals to make the jump from the water to land. Fox is incredulous.

“It’s not like their fins fell off and they grew feet! That’s what they want you to believe, that their fins fell off and then they grew some feet and started walking on the land. This is the dumbest theory I’ve ever heard in my whole life. It’s not good, it’s really not good. It’s bad. It’s very bad. Do you know how complex feet are?â€

Fox then goes on to explain just how complex feet are (very, very complex concludes non-scientist Megan Fox).

Of course, if the theory of evolution stated that fish one day had their fins fall off and then grew some feet and walked on land, then we might conclude that the theory was “very bad.†Fox is right about that. That’s a pretty bad theory. Fortunately, no evolutionary scientist is proposing a “fins fall off, feet grew out of the stubs†model of how animals began walking on land." (Addicting Info)

Oh, god

I know this post is about her creationist videos but I stumbled upon her 100 videos about the local library. OMG, she is a librarians worst nightmare. I cannot muddle through the entirety of it, but the clips I watched suggests that she thinks librarians actively support people masturbating in the library to child porn and have banned books by Rush Limbaugh and other conservatives (while it may be true that librarians aren't rushing out to add these to the collections, she could, you know, submit a request for them to be purchased). She also seems to have submitted a bunch of FOIA requests and attends board meetings regularly, interrupting business within the library. She also appears to think that the library is being run by the ALA.

I'm 8 minutes in, and she sounds like she's about to burst into tears.

She keeps saying "Where's the video? I want video evidence!"

Edit:

12:39

Apparently robots can't have human feet. They just don't work. When they make robot feet with the same dimensions as a human foot, it doesn't work. The robot just falls over. Nobody can make a foot like the human foot (see the irony?)

There's a link there to the jp-something site she's now writing for, but think twice before clicking on that because she may get paid per click.

I'd love to see her go head to head with Emily Graslie.

A homeschool mom goes through the science museum and shows just how ignorant she really is of it all...

So much  in this video.

A choice quote:

{L_OFFTOPIC} :
“It’s not like their fins fell off and they grew feet,†she says. “That’s what they want you to believe, that their fins fell off and then they grew some feet and started walking on the land. It's hilarious to me that her name is Megan Fox. I love that she went to an exhibit called "The Evolving Earth" and then proceeded to be surprised that it has a "liberal" bias and talks about evolution. What. a. shocker. Also, I'm not going to take anyone's opinion on evolution or any other biological processes that cannot correctly pronounced "eukaryotes" and doesn't know what it means.

I have a pretty limited education in biology--I love it, but my experience with it tops out at a 100-level biology class in college more years ago than I like to admit, but even I know that "everything" is not made up of eukaryotic cells, like she tries to assert. That is why there is a separate classification, prokaryotic cells.

I love that someone posted a picture of a tadpole, transitioning from water to land. Hmmm, I wonder how she explains that? Apparently tadpoles can grow feet!

My 12 year old walked in while I was watching this. She watched for a few minutes and asked why I was watching stupid people online. Again.

So, I was just really bored and tried to watch it again. I got to the bit where she wants a video of the first land plants and is repeating over and over again "how do they know? How do they know? How do they know?", and had to stop because I felt like I was taking advantage of someone with an intellectual disability. She would be so embarrassed if she understood what she was saying.

She is so fucking annoying and defensive and repetitive and repetitive and repetitive, she does a great job of making creationists look really bad. And, oh, those dizzying production values. :puke-front: Fine, fine job, there, Megan! :D

I love how she bitches about the display that was under repair the last time she was there, and still is. WTF do you care, woman -- you don't understand any of it anyway!

From the video:

"No one considers that Neanderthals could just be people with really big foreheads."

gZBdyiB.jpg

I think they should just put these things in here, and let people wonder and exclaim over them.

From the comments:

I got 8 minutes in and had to stop before I broke my computer trying to slap her.

If humans are still evolving, why are there creationists?

Another quote I love from the video. She tries to quote Darwin:

"Darwin once said, "If a single cell is more complex than I think it is, then all of my theories...I'm gonna have to start all over again."

Be shocked, but I don't suspect this is an actual quote from Darwin himself.

"We're still stuck with 100-year-old-science! It's disgusting!"

You know what's 100-year-old science? Germ theory. Marie Curie's work on radiation. Pasturization. Human flight by mechanical means. Mendelian genetics. Should we toss those in the trash because they were discovered too long ago in history?

"Does no one care?! Does no want to know the truth?"

Er...yeah. My husband, the scientist, works every day in a lab because he wants to know lies. Lots and lots of lies. Making shit up, all day long. That's his job.

"How do you know earth's first plants were moss-like, did you have a video camera there?"

"There is not one missing link that's not a joke, or a prank." Uh...Lucy? Archaeopteryx? This whole damn wikipedia page listing transitional fossils? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tr ... al_fossils)

This woman just does not grasp that there are fossil layers, with older fossils being lower in the strata than younger fossils. That's pretty basic stuff, imho.

Lady, if I wanted to learn about robot feet, I would not go to you for information, that's for dang sure.

The interactive exhibit has been broken for weeks=all biologists are wrong and should feel bad.

Oh man, she honestly believes she saw a dragon skull. A DRAGON SKULL! (Spoiler: It was not a dragon. It was a dinosaur, according to the technician. But fuck her and her PhD, she can't possibly know as much as a home-skoolin' mom from Indiana.) "They don't want you to say dragon because there's evidence that people have seen something that looks like these things. Because that would mean that there time-scale is off by 100 million years." That's right, it's all a conspiracy to keep down the rabble. Not that science has a history of smacking down beliefs, including even long-standing scientific dogma, that don't stand up to examination.

There are prehistoric drawings on caves of dinosaurs? Wut the wut? :? Oh, and Egyptian hieroglyphics, too. I did a google search and could find something about the cave paintings, but I couldn't find anything about dinosaurs in hieroglyphics. Found plenty about UFOs in hieroglyphics, though. That must mean proof of the Star Gate or...somethin'. This cave drawing totally couldn't be anything other than a dinosaur, like, say, a caveman that couldn't draw for shit. Nope, must be a dinosaur/dragon.

"This is a fantasy, like dragons...er...except dragons aren't a fantasy." :cray-cray:

"Neanderthals are just humans with big foreheads. Like Eastern Europeans, you know. They have deeper set eyes." Hmm-hmm. That explains that genetic differences. They do genetic testing on those remains, you do know that, right crazy lady? She also seems to think that "neanderthal man" is just one skeleton.

Okay, I admit I made it through the whole thing. I feel so badly for her children. Now there is a fine home-school education for you.

Interestingly, she proved evolution in her statement "Neanderthals are just humans with big foreheads. Like Eastern Europeans, you know. They have deeper set eyes."

Meaning that humans have evolved with more or less pronounced features based on there geographic region. I'm no scientist (or even that smart) but wouldn't evolution by its own definition denote that we adapt and grow in response to our surroundings, etc and in turn in creationsim without any evolution - if we were dropped out of they sky by her god and then begat from only 2 people way back in the day (you know 6000 years ago) then wouldn't ALL humans look the more or less the same. I don't know what the hell I'm saying here really, just poking holes in her ridiculous commentary.
