Woah ... When did he post 'Slapping your wife is okay'? I missed that one. :-( :-( I hope when he walks through the pearly gates Jesus bitch slaps him.

I wonder if he thinks flipping tables is okay because Jeaus flipped some....

He probably thinks flipping tables is one of the manly ways Christ shows his love.

Nah....I'm pretty sure he learned it from "Real Housewives of New Jersey." It's what hysterical, hormonal women do when they can't get their shit together.

Don't forget that prior posts and comments revealed that Robert had overturned a table, once, when he was mad at his wife.

He also posted that he thinks slapping his wife is OK and that fear is a good thing.

I guess these things are part of sacrificial love.

Flipping over a table is one of the things that got my husband locked up for domestic violence. As I was told then...the willful and wanton destruction of marital property is considered domestic violence. CM oughta be damn glad he ain't married to me...I'd have had his ass locked up a long time ago.

Thanks, Doormat for the mention of Love, Joy, Feminism.

I quickly read through the post about Robert and decided to share his wife's response to show how "loved" she really is.

As is typical in Submissive marriages, she clearly states that when she makes a mistake she expects to be punished. When he "screws up," she simply prays about it. Didn't Ken express this very same double standard in one of his many posts about (justifying) porn use? If the husband is viewing porn, the wife is to shut up and pray about it. If the wife is viewing porn however, the man must punish her.

I don't know of anything in the Bible that states a woman's sins require earthly punishment but a man's are to be left to prayer from his wife.

About the bolded part of what Amanda wrote: that sounds like Robert was really needing affirmation, instead of accountability. Given all his other abuses, it seems really unlikely that he would hear anything negative about himself from his wife.

If he's admitting to these abuses and gradually changing his online persona into a softer image, then the next step is getting counseling and medication in real life. If he for real wants to change, and knows that he's got a problem, he should go ahead and take steps to really do something about it. Robert you know patriarchy is flawed. You read about it from us here. Take some time and really be like Jesus, and put yourself on the cross of change. Every person alive has flaws, it's when we realize it and do something to change that we rise above ourselves.

The table thing DID NOT HAPPEN. I posted that story as LuckyWife about my (thankfully) fake husband. Robert said fake husband was out of line.

Not mad. Just want to make sure that myth is not perpetuated, especially because I inadvertently started it.

Oh goodness. Sometimes we troll so hard here that we end up trolling ourselves.

Thanks for correcting me. I don't want to malign Robert. I did try to find it in the comments, and couldn't (now I know why). I shouldn't have posted that story till I found the original source.

I do stand by the slapping comment, though. Anybody else remember that?

The slapping thing sounds familiar. Was it on the same post as my table comment? I can try to search the Wayback Machine tomorrow if I can remember which post it was under before his big flounce.
