Because Robert Values Women

In his latest post "What is Valued in Women..." Robert encourages men to value a woman for more than what is between her thighs. At least I think that's what he's saying.

Guys, our sinful nature is that we should not become men for what is found between a woman’s thighs- but for Christ. As long as what is found between a woman’s thighs is our driving motivator we will find ourselves in trouble.

This, from a man who:

- In the story of how he saved his marriage, stated that all he wanted form his wife was sex. Sex was more important to him than breathing. He needed sex! SEX. SEX. SEX.

-Informed his readers that he made it clear that his wife WOULD give him enthusiastic sex every other day...PERIOD!

-Listed as a major point in his decision making policy how they handle things when HE wants sex.

-Has described himself as a 48-hour kind of guy. *blech*

-Compared one phase of his wife's monthly cycle to having a mistress because, evidently, that is when the sex is best and...well...sex with a mistress is better?????? :?

-Clearly minimizes his own use of pornography because "many other men do it."

Ugh, everything about Robert gets on my nerves. He's so crude and so vulgar and it's painfully obvious that he doesn't respect women and finds them useful for sex, procreation and women's chores. For him to imply they have value makes me laugh because I just don't see it, not from him. Even when he tries to say something nice about them, he can't quite avoid being crude when referring to them:

... what is found between a woman’s thighs.

What really ticked me off was when he was speaking of today's feminist women:

They are less happy. Stressed out. Don’t want to get married and then have a hard time finding a marriage partner. Overworked. Becoming louder, more obese, more violent and less godly. A million women a year murder their unborn.

Seriously? First of all, coming from Robert, that's the pot calling the kettle black. He has no room to talk. Secondly, what does obesity have to do with feminism? I think it's just another way for him to slam women because he doesn't like or respect them and he can't hide the fact. I feel sorry for his wife and daughter.

Robert, since I know you read here, it's time for another English lesson: It's is a contraction for it is (It's going to rain). To show possession, it's spelled its (Its time has come.) It's and its in the same sentence: See what I did there?

Amanda's a lovely woman but she's not exactly a twig... so what gives, Bob, has she secretly been snacking on feminism?

Between this woman's thighs is a coffee cup (specially made to be held that way, btw):

I think it's of very high value, to people who like to hold their coffee that way.

Oh, that isn't what you meant, Robert?

C'mon, vulgar dude -- if you are going to see women only as sex toys, why be coy with the "between the thighs" copout?

There is something unsettling about how Robert has refuses to use the medical term, vagina - VAGINA! VAGINA! VAGINA! - to describe the female sex organ.

Instead, he adopts a seemingly puerile and at once sexually charged language to describe a normal body part: "Vagina" is off-limits, but the far more sensational and sexually descriptive comment - "between a woman’s thighs" - is perfectly fine.

In this context, even euphemisms such as "private place" or "down below" would be preferable - and, in my own opinion, less obscene and dehumanizing - then this nonsense wherein the whole woman is deconstructed and refined to what is "between a woman’s thighs."

His use of that language puts the lie to his claim that he cares about women.

It's not even accurate. That's why I went looking for a picture of something that was actually between a person's thighs.

Robert, the vulva, vagina, labia and clitoris are not between the thighs. If you don't know where to find them, that may be part of your problem.

Alas, Thoughtful, the man has two children. Which is a tragedy for humanity (and those children), but proof he knows how to find the relevant parts despite his limited intellect: intercrural sex rarely leads to pregnancy.

That said, male rhesus macaques manage The Act all the time, and the duration is 10-15 seconds.

True, although I suspect there's one part on my list he can't find.

Is Robert the one who said Christian men only get married so they can have sex? I'm pretty sure it was him.

He just can't stop himself from insulting his wife, can he?

The clitoris is holy amongst all things, says He.

A fundie place where i used to work had team building days for only the men in the office. The guys all went to a beach and played volleyball, had a cookout, did team sports. For the women who worked for the company they gave us a shopping card we could use together or separately on a non-working day.

So one of my friends nailed it when she said, "if the company has a penis day we deserve a clitoris day"

I think he's saying Jesus above vaginas, not women are more than our vaginas.

i concur. this lack of actual thinking and logical thought process is par for the course for robby.

btw, rob, obesity rates have been rising in BOTH genders for years, most statistics cited going back only 20 years or so. women's suffrage garnered us the right to vote 94 years ago. does it take a while to catch up? and how does it affect men if women are teh ebil feminists? :wink-kitty:

Maybe Robert does not want to specify vagina, because he likes anal, also. If he wants "sex" every other day, and fundie sex is only penis in vagina, perhaps he fills those alternate days with some backdoor action. He's a caring and considerate man, and wants to give his wife a break from sex, maybe.

Is that even legal??!

Is that even legal??!

Probably not. But that business did a lot of shady things and got away with it because most of the employees were their church members, or barely-legal immigrants. Such a bad witness to the community, since the head honchos were also authorities in our church.

And, to a lot of fundie guys women are just slaves to use or pretty things to parade around with their herd of trophy kids. The better guys might not treat women that way out of spite, but it's just built into the culture.
