Someone didn't think this one through... Courtney's Baby

What's wrong with "Joe Average" names? Why does it always have to be some crazy unpronounceable name with some odd connotation? I read somewhere that someone named their child "Female" (pronounces FEE MONLY.) What's wrong with Betty?

Her first baby was Clint, so now they've got Clay. If they have a girl with it be Chloe?

Nothing. But Clay Mason? It sounds like "Claymation". You don't have to pick some crazy-ass name to find something better than "Clay".

Oh...I thought his name really was Claymation. lol Clay Mason isn't too bad. It's better than Liberty Bell (or what-ever name that was I read about the other day).

Urban legend.

Maybe--but, I actually knew someone who named their kids after brands of liquor. So, I wouldn't be surprised at anything anymore.

That's what I named my car, Liberty Belle. Libby for short

Oh no no no.... I believe it.

I have met a "Junexii" (pronounced June 13th, born on June 13th of course) and an "Orangejello" (Pronounced Or-ange-Ello) not to mention "Vaseline" (pronounced Vaza-Lynne).

Man...Tampa needs a mandatory class on baby naming.

I forgot she was pregnant. How old is clint? They must be going with all c names because isn't her huband's name start with a c? And their dog too?

Clay's not bad, I kinda like it. Clay Mason, OTOH, well they could have chosen a better name to go with Clay.

As for weird baby names, I believe every one of those. My best friend is an RN in the neonatal unit of a big community hospital, and you wouldn't believe some of the names these babies get. Usually from poor, uneducated mothers. One wanted to name her baby Gonorrhea, because she had overheard the word in the hospital and thought it was a pretty name. Luckily, the nurses explained to her what gonorrhea was and the mother decided on something else. Another named her baby Theone. Pronounced, "The One," because, as the mother said, her baby was "The One."

Her husband is on Twitter and his username is chrisorogers. I cannot believe he is my age. That really freaks me out. I thought he was closer to 30. I'm 23 by the way.

My husband had a student once named Mike Hunt.

Staff tried to refer to him as Michael as much as possible.

I actually had to think about that one for a sec.

I knew a Ben Gay.

Planning on scheduling my ankle surgery around Trump's Georgia trial - if I'm forced to be off my feet, I might as well be entertained.

      Stupid loneliness!
Kid 1 went back to college (yeah! But sad foe me, she stayed with me all summer. It was nice to start a new phase in our mother/daughter relationship)
Zero prospects on dates. (Not that I have tried online dating, scared of that but I have reached put to a new group at church, etc.
I asked a friend to go to dinner the other night so I wasn't eating alone, again. The friend had plans, all my friends always have plans. I see stuff on social media, I'm never invited. I'm single, I'm the 3rd or 5th wheel.
My one parent friend at kid 2's fall sport won't be there because their daughter made varsity (Yeah for her!!! Seriously happy for her. Sad for me for another sport I basically sit alone, did that majority of spring and summer sporting events.)
And now I'm crying as my mom told me 2 different funny stores that former teachers remembered about my twin. Both stories were about how they got a crack out of my twin's antics (my parents went to a funeral today and saw former colleagues). Teachers remember me (after all I was a twin and teachers' kid) but none would have memorable stories of me.
      I feel invisible.
Don't worry, this will pass,  it always does. I just need a pity party for a few days. I'm not in anyway going to harm myself. As lonely as I am, I have a very full life I (usually) love. I just needed to vent and cry for a moment.
If you are still reading this, thanks Fjer. 😊

Absolutely awful about the fires on Maui. In 2019, I stayed in Lahaina. I liked to sit on the sea wall, which is the only structure left now, and watch the water. People are receiving help, but many had to leave pets. Please donate to the Maui Humane Society, which is leading efforts to find, treat, and reunite pets.

Nebraska’s new football coach, who is involved in an organization called Man Up Ministries, labels certain players “Alphas” and sometimes “extreme Alphas” and the local paper has a nice piece on why people objecting to the term “alpha male” are wrong and it has a “nice ring”. 🤮🤮🤮🤮
