I haven't seen the pic (just looked for the IG and I can't find it either) but I really doubt it. If she was engaged, it'd be a secret IMO and there'd be no ring wearing. Unless there's a huge rock on it that clearly makes it look like an engagement ring, I'm calling purity ring.

Oh, God. Poor Jana. I hope she (and the other girls) at least know how to avoid creeps like this...though I doubt it. I'm guessing that Boob figures keeping them in the house or his line of sight at ALL TIMES will keep the girls safe from ACTUAL stalkers and predators.

I can't remember if it was on an episode of the show, but there was that 40-year-old guy who made a Facebook page and dedicated it to Jedediah Duggar. He actually showed up at an event and met the Duggar parents in person ( Jed wasn't there, which disappointed him).

The creepy guy claimed to have made the page because he felt he had a lot in common with Jed, and also said Jim bob and Michelle were nice when he met them. I would hope JB and M actually have radar for that kind of thing, but maybe not. :?

That's my worry, too. If they don't have any kind of bodyguard (a sibling doesn't count, especially an equally naive sister), the girls especially could be in serious danger.

But then, the older girls have all been subjected to JTTH, right? Meaning they were within Gothard's grubby reach. I don't know that JB&M would be as concerned for their actual, physical safety as much as a group of strangers on the internet -- so long as they're still "modest", everything's okay. :angry-banghead:

This is pretty much the only reason I think the vetting is ok. These kids were raised in a way that makes them vulnerable to creepers. While I find their courtship rules to be over the line, I do think Boob vetting these guys ahead of time isn't such a bad thing.
