I think we may have discussed this over on the old board, but yeah, the Bateses have a framed picture of Nathan Bedford Forrest in a place of honor in their house. There was a photo of it on their website, but it seems to have been removed.

Read the next story on their page. The mayor of a town in Michigan organized a tent revival and had the Bates as performers. Did he do it on his own time and dime or was it done with public funds a'la Rick Perry? They're blurring the line here folks.
