I think the first 4 from the left are Josh, John David, Jana and Jill. The little girl on the end on the right looks very much like Jordyn Duggar (but obviously couldn't be). The little girl in the middle with the white collar w/ the flower applique might be Jessa. If that is the case, then the toddler "Jana" is holding onto might be Jinger.

I don't think the tall blond boy w/ the bright blue polo shirt is a Duggar, nor is the little girl (wearing a bib and pantaloons) who is rubbing her eye.

I looked here to check the order of boys and girls and here's the pic

duggarfamilyblog.com/2014/10/duggars-and-bates-in-1995.html

In 1995 Joseph, the seventh child, was born in January. Kinda odd he wouldn't be in the picture.

If that is Jana to the right, she is as tall as Josh and if JD is second from the left, he sure looks a lot shorter. I guess twins don't have to be the same height.

Presuming this is spring or summer, according to dress...

Josh would be 7 so maybe that is him on the far left.

Jana and JD would be 5, would that really be Jana on the right? Tall for her age?

Jill is 4.

Jessa would have been 2 or 3.

Jinger would have been 1 or 2.

Joseph was born in Jan 1995, why wouldn't he be in the picture?

So I am going to guess that the Duggar girls are the ones in dresses with bloomers and bows, three reds and Jinger in some kind of pigtails. The Duggar kids are dressed a bit more dressy than the Bates.

Josh, JD, Bates girl holding Baby Bates, Jill, Bates girl, Jessa, Bates boy, Bates boy, Jinger, Bates boy, Jana.

Guess the Duggars. Such a fun game :cracking-up:

I think JD is almost as tall as Jana, he's just not standing upright. Joseph isn't in the pic because he was just a baby; too young to stand. Or maybe he was taking a nap or something like that.

It is odd to think of Jana as tall because she is much shorter than the siblings close in age to her. Secondly, this photo looks like it was taken in 1975, not 1995.

I agree with Paperplate's guesses. I actually think this photo was misdated and actually was taken in 1996. I would even guess it was in April at the ATI conference in Bag Sandy. Isn't that in April? Anyway here's a Duggar family portrait from 1996 to compare.

Wow. I would not have recognised Jinger in that photo. I also don't see a lot of resemblances between Jill as a kid and Jill as an adult, but I've seen pics of her before so I know what she used to look like. The others didn't change so much, IMHO. Jessa still looks exactly the same.

The 1996 family portrait was probably taken in December (or maybe November?). I agree then that the Duggar/Bates pic is from 1996 too. It would make sense that they met at the ATI conference (and yes, it's in April).

Jessa looks exactly the same as she always does, you can always tell which one she is. Josh is instantly recognisable too, although he now looks about 30 years older than he did then.

OMG look at Joseph's chubby cheeks! :D And the expression on baby Josiah's face!

Jinger was not exactly the cutest child....shes pretty now she is an adult though, so it all worked out okay.

Yes, I think Jinger, Jill, and even Jana, have changed a lot. Jinger's portrait reminds me a little of Josie today.

I'm not very good at guessing babies' ages, but Josiah is positively tiny in this portrait, and he was born August 28. I would guess the family portrait was taken in November, or maybe even October.

Poor Jinger is wearing the worst looking outfit. Pantaloons? Where are they going? The Moulin Rouge? Wash laundry down at the creek? Poor kid.

Jinger looks like she already resents her family here in this picture. She also looks exhausted!

This photo can't be from 1996.

Joseph is the 7th baby. He was born Jan 1995. There are seven children in that picture. The infant has to be Joseph, not Josiah. And he would not be that little at Christmas when it is almost his first birthday.

Or maybe this blog is just wrong on the birthdates

duggarfamilyblog.com/p/birthdays.html

Or I messed up my calculations.

ETA I messed up, missed a kid. There's 8 now, and Josiah would be the right age to be that small.

It just occurred to me that Michelle's laundry breakdown probably happened right around the time the Big Sandy picture was taken, when she got overwhelmed with seven kids (assuming baby Joseph is somewhere out of frame). Imagining those "big" kids--who aren't very big at all--looking after the little ones makes me sad. I also think the fact that the Duggar kids are better dressed by fundie standards is just more oneupmanship on Boob and J'chelle's part. Maybe if they worried less about looking better than their peers, she would've had a little less stress and done a little better at parenting. But who am I kidding, everything they do is because they think it gives good testimony it's what people viewers TLC wants.

Good observation. I'd imagine Josh wasn't that big of a help because he's a boy. Jana was 6 and Jill was 4 so Michelle really had to do everything on her own. And she was pregnant, of course. No wonder she broke. If only she had realised that maybe it was time to slow down the baby-making...

I gotta say that all the talk of Michelle's " breakdown" always cracks me up. She got overwhelmed by too much laundry. At my house, when my kids were little, that would of been called "Tuesday".

My sweet pup was diagnosed with a brain tumor in September. She passed away in my arms on Thanksgiving morning. It all happened so fast. She didn't want to eat anything the day before, but prior to that was ok. Knew it was near time and had booked an appointment to take her next week. However, she decided for me. She was only 8 and really was one of the best dogs. She never met a stranger, human or dog. Life isn't the same without her.

I made my first Granny Square! After nearly 30 years of knitting and crocheting this was a project I never did. Until now! I needed something to do with my rest of very colourful yarn and now I am very happy. I need to try different needles with my yarns but I think I found something nice for the future.
I needed only 3 different youtube videos until I found a person who explained the concept slowly and repetitive and with words I can understand. I hate when these tutorials make me feel dumb.

Someone please remind me to buy peanut butter. Seriously, I have been meaning to get some for at least three weeks, and everytime I remember, the shops are already closed!

We had to put our 14 year old dachshund, Trinket, down today.  She was fine Thursday, but by mid-morning yesterday, it was apparent that something was really wrong,  She had zero energy, lost her appetite and began walking into corners.  By morning I knew it was time for her to have her final visit to the vet.  She had lost about a pound and a half recently.  RIP, Trinket!

Horrific! A 6 year old boy was murdered, and mother severly injured, in a hate crime in Chicago. Reports say they are both Palestinian Muslims and were specifically targeted because of that. Thankfully the man who did it is in custody
      This is pure evil
