Jessa Duggar/Seewald Social Media

It is to my great displeasure that I award Jessa Duggar with the dishonor of her own social media thread. Jessa has worked long and hard to get to this point, and now her efforts are finally being recognized. Her parents and brother, Josh Duggar, a former recipient himself, are both very proud. They can't wait to see what hate she will spew in the future.

They need to be stopped. I know they're "adults", but someone needs to rein them in...even in non-fundie land, it's not a real great idea to get political when your friends/followers have a wide variety of social and political views.

All their friends do, but now they have the "general public" following them too, so I would think they'd want to keep it watered down as they do on the show. But I suppose since they don't consider themselves "of the world", they don't care.

I know she doesn't know any better as she has no opportunity to learn yet as she is locked up in the Duggar house with no opportunity to read books or have full use of the internet, but she deserves all of the negative comments she gets for all of the stupid stuff she says. Hopefully it will teach her that it is not okay, and that she is very uneducated and needs to learn more about the world.

Granted whatamessajessa is the victim of educational neglect. However, how in the world could she have drawn the conclusions that she did RIGHT AFTER WALKING THROUGH THE HOLOCAUST MUSEUM? That girl( I hesitate to say woman) does not possess 2 working neurons to rub together.

What's hard for me is that I've spent years feeling sorry for these kids and now they're adults, and adults should be more accountable for their actions.

When they first appears on TV, all the Js were minors brainwashed by their parents and denied a decent education, so of course they are going to be uneducated idiots. And now several of them are adults and it's conflicting because they are old enough to be accountable for their own actions, but they've had so much Kool Aid forced down their throats for 20 years that they don't even realise how uneducated and narrow minded and brainwashed they are. They're saying exactly what Daddy and Mommy told them, the same Daddy and Mommy who won't even let them go somewhere by themselves until their get married, give them 0 room to question their faith or have a real friend outside the family.

As the descendent of a concentration camp survivor, I'm torn between wanting to slap some sense into Jessa for being so offensive and ridiculous and feeling sorry for her and upset because she is the victim of awful parenting and has never once in almost 22 years been encouraged to have an independent thought, so she's just spitting back what she's heard. She probably doesn't even realise just how badly Boob and J'Uterus forced that Kool Aid down their throat and how uneducated she truly is.

People have been making thoughtful comments on her instagram posts, trying to get her to see her errors. She should take the responsibility to read the comments and links, and do more research. This is where i think Jana might be a good older sister and take Jessa under her wing and say, it's better to listen and then speak. Jana is certainly an example of staying quiet and being respectful when she may not have all the sides of an issue considered yet.

Unfortunately the Duggars are around a lot of political speakers that are saying dumb things, so it's more difficult for them to hear voices of reason.

Is Jessa even 'allowed' to read the comments? I wouldn't be surprised if a condition of her having Instagram before she has sex with Bin is that she isn't allowed to look up anything, read any comments and all she's allowed to do is post Boob approved pictures and rants.

I don't know if Jessa is allowed to read the comments, but someone does, because I was blocked from following her on Instagram due to leaving comments that went against their beliefs. My comments were not crazy or vile, just an opposing opinion or an attempt to educate... I was able to leave several comments on different photos before being blocked. My guess is that Boob monitors them... can't have the kids reading any opposing opinions that may actually make sense or shed some light on their situation!

Even Jana, seems much younger than her years when she speaks. It really isn't their fault. But you would hope that as they get more freedom, and hopefully mature, that they will develop some critical thinking skills. Right now, they are still at the point of just believing what they were told because their mom and dad told them to. But hopefully they will develop some natural curiosity, and a question attitude.

I mean, why on earth would anyone want to read a book by 4 women, who have never had a relationship, on how to date and have relationships? But people came out in droves to see them and buy the book. Yeah, exactly. I'm a little bit older than Jana and she seems a few years younger than me, not a few moths younger. Jana has travelled, but unlike me, she's never been allowed to make a group of friends outside of her family, go to college, or even just have an independent thought or have something to herself (I've never met Jana, but god, the story of that jewellery box actually breaks my heart and makes me want to go buy her a beautiful jewellery box. I also appreciate it's not Jessa's fault because she was a child and that's where the parents needed to teach Jessa not to be a little brat).

I think part of the problem is they are not ALLOWED to develop natural curiosity. They can't even go on google and look at some other world views.

I've never sent a gift to a Duggar, and never really would, but I would be so tempted to send a jewlery box to Jana when she gets engaged. Something really pretty covered with gemstones.

She deserves a pretty jewel box, especially after all her years of servitude and after her parents forced her to give hers to Jessa.
