Has Boob given Jessa & Ben-Boy a house yet?

The wedding is about a month away. Jill had her McMansion several weeks before her wedding.

 

They need time to decorate and have their pounding.... Not to mention, put aaallll their gifts....

 

Maybe they just snuggle in Ben-Boy's "guest house" twin....

I hope they have given them something that is decent :( Its just so unfair on them if Jill gets all the good stuff, especially cause she beat them to marriage and then announced her pregnancy at the same time they got engaged.

I am so curious to see where she ends up! It'll really be telling of what to expect for all of the kids in the future IMO.

I know they acted like putting Jessa and Ben in the basement of the Dill house was a joke, but I still wouldn't be surprised. That place is huge and clearly divided up into three massive levels and IIRC has multiple front doors? They could have renovated the basement/lowest level to make a duplex type deal.

I'm still hoping Jana can make a run for it and move in with them once the baby arrives. Or better off, just stay with Josh and Anna. But get the poor girl away from Boob and Jchelle. Uhg. I can't even imagine how infuriating it would be as an almost 25 year old woman to still have your parents CCed on your texts while your 21 year old sister and her 19 year old boyfriend get ready to a (most likely) free house with crowdfunded furnishings. Just because God's given them the sex stamp of approval which apparently is the only thing that makes you an independent adult in their eyes.

I honestly don't even judge Jill and Jessa for the massive registries. They sacrificed a lot (with no choice or say in it) their whole lives being on that show and losing a lot of privacy. Nobody's making people buy them things! But I just feel bad for the other adult kids who basically have a choice of either staying single or finding their Eternal Spouse to finally get some freedom. :cry:

I keep hoping the reason Jana is going to DC is because Josh has set her up with someone on the sly.

Looking at the comments about their wedding registry on the Jessa courtship thread, they will at least get use of some of their more creative registry items if Jimbob sets them up in a shed while Jill got a huge house and Josh at least got something.

Especially since it's so close to Ben's workplace. :twisted: Although now it's going into winter, that could be months of two newlywed couples sharing the same space. :lol: (and of course, pregnancies for both of them, probably.)

Jana and Jinger are once again left out of the loop. I know that feeling all too well. Big families suck for the kids who get left out of the next "season of life" until years after it's old news. I doubt that Jana cares much, with her freedom to travel, but Jinger seems like she would love to be living her own life by now.

Maybe.. but i bet Ben would be pretty motivated to get his own space. Plus they've built one already so this would be faster, and they wouldn't be as limited by finances as those early years. Just a guess.

If they are they'll probably pray the company messes up again so they can get a whole free kit So they'll have a giant house the way the duggars did you know complaining that the kit wouldn't work but magically being able to make it work after getting a whole free third kit. :angry-banghead:

there is an interview floating around youtube somewhere where a lady is getting a tour of the house and Michelle says they ordered two kits but one of the kits didn't have the holes drilled in the right place so the company sent them another kit and then the Duggars decided that they were just going to drill the holes in the right place and use all three kits. Yes the company messed up but I would feel icky if I did something like that.

I can see what you're saying but I don't know it still feels wrong to me. I think if they could fix the metal themselves they shouldn't have even asked for another kit.

I agree on both counts.

I'm a year older than Jana and I had more freedom ten years ago than Jana has now. I can't imagine how 'over it' she must be. If my parents insisted on chaperoning my dates and reading my texts, my response as a mid-20s woman would be a more polite version of 'Are you serious? LOL. NO. F*** off'.

I agree on the registry thing too. These poor girls had no say about ending up on the TV show and having all their embarrassing moments and awkward teenage stages filmed, yet there is no way they are actually getting any of the money from it because I have no doubt Boob is controlling it all. I imagine the closest they've gotten to money of their own is their book money.

I view the registries as a way for the girls to actually get a bit of 'payment' for having to grow up on TV.

I really don't think Jessa and Ben will be moving in with Jill and Derick, even for a day. They're all newlyweds (or will be), it's not clear that they even like each other, and there are probably Duggar or other rentals that Jessa and Ben could live in for awhile.

That said - it'll be interesting to see where they do end up. If Jim Bob was willing to fix up and loan that lovely house to Jill and Derick then I doubt he'd provide a dump for Jessa and Ben...wouldn't look good. I think they'll get something decent but not as nice as Jill and Derick's place.

well if they are planning to document Dilly's gestation and first year as well as Jessa's engagement and first year of marriage that could change everything because they would want some place nice to film.

I think they figured out with Josh, re engagement, and 1000 sq ft house - that things should look a little better and not worse for wear. I mean I was never impressed by Josh or his house he lived in, now Derick and Jill's house I can't wait to see....

So basically I foresee another 2 years of 19 kids and then nothing

I would be honestly surprised if Jim Bob hasn't set up Jessa & Ben with their own place at this point. While I'm sure they won't get anything as nice as Jill and Derick with the Stoneybrook house (and tbh Jim Bob giving them that huge nice house to them still feels a bit weird), Jim Bob has multiple properties just sitting around that are pretty decent that he could give them. If he doesn't give them a decent place then it would just reaffirm the suspicions of Jessa being the daughter he likes the least. :lol:

I think Jill lucked out on the big house because of location. Isn't it close to Derick's job? or at least closer then living near the TTT. TLC knew Jill was a hot topic and wanted to film. Having the crew at the Stoneybrook house is easier then having them parked all over the lawn like at a small house like Josh's old home.

I bet Ben and Jessa get a rental, if Jim Bob doesn't have one, he will pay Ben the rent money as salary or Jim Bob will buy or have just bought some 2/3 bedroom fixer for them. I feel Jessa ends up in a Seewald manufactured home on the Duggar land. Win/Win, Seewald's get advertising, Jessa has her free babysitters right next door, and the younger Duggar's get a lesson in construction like the older ones did 10 years ago.
