Did we ever figure out what the deal was with the DC house? Anna just posted a picture captioned "cooking dinner tonight" and it's obviously in their DC house that's been show on the show before. Anyone know the story?

They must be paying a huge rental fee. It would make more sense if the purchased a home if they are staying in that area.

I think someone came upon the old listing (I seem to recall it was listed for a long time before the Smuggars came along) and assumed the house was up for rent again and it went a bit viral.

They are still there and as I also seem to recall, the rent was not very high for a house of that size within commuting distance to DC. It's in PG County which according to Wiki was 63% African American in 2000. Which is probably more diversity than Josh ever saw in his entire life.

It this is a temporary gig that Josh is using to springboard a political career in Arkansas, renting in a fairly low rent district makes much more sense than buying. Especially if you'd prefer to live amongst the WASPs and can't currently afford to.
