Is Jana as shy in real life as it seems on the TV? I know sometimes I get mistaken for being rude, but really I'm just shy.

I scroll through it every 10 days or so. A lot of the posts sound JUST like those of us posting on FJ--lol. I do have a question though. Do the posters submit their own photos of the Duggars or does the moderator just paste them from a large collection depending on which Bates or Duggar they are posting about?

The mod picks the photos. I actually used to mod that board awhile back. :embarrassed: I just didn't have the time to keep up with it and give it attention it really needed (finding quality photos, editing, fixing annoying misspellings, uploading, more uploading, even more uploading ect). At the time I ran it, it was a fair mix of positive and negative posts. Still seems to be fluctuating so I guess it's all normal. While the show airs there are more positive and between seasons were more negative posts.

Quite possibly - John David seems quite shy in my opinion too.

My dad is the same. Painfully shy but people think he is rude. :(

I wish the moderators would fix obvious typos. I find a lot of the confessions to be annoying and hard to read because of the errors.

Totally agree. I cringe when I read it...some of them are bad, bad, bad. Especially that OBVIOUSLY fake one where someone claimed to ask JB to court Jana, and it was rife with misspellings/bad grammar. Please! :roll:

That was my first thought too. Jana seems like an introvert, like me, and I can't tell you how hellish I'd find having to do one of these book signings. UGH. STRANGERS. PEOPLE. WANTING TO TALK TO ME. UGH. NO. GO AWAY.

Well, for a start, I would not send my teenage daughters to a camp run by a pedophile, I would not force them into boxes and respect them as individuals-like letting my daughter play with cars or my son play with dolls, or expect all of my kids to have the same opinions on me on religion, politics or any other stuff. I would give my kids a proper education that teaches science not crap. I would loosen the levels of supervision they require as they get more responsible, and by the time they are 18 they will be able to be independent. I would trust my children's judgement when it comes to dating, and let them choose their own partners. I would teach my children that their body belongs to them, and encourage them to set their own boundaries with their partners instead of policing my adult kids for hugging before marriage. I would teach my kids equality-that we all deserve equal rights regardless of gender, sexual orientation, religion or race. I would not expect them to raise their siblings.

Just because you reproduced 19 times doesn't mean your standards for how good you are as a parent isn't any lower than someone with one kid. Just because none of the J kids are in jail, doing drugs or pregnant out of wedlock doesn't mean they did a good job. Out of those eight kids that are adults, six are still living at home and most of them are unemployed. All of them seem stunted and emotionally immature. Jessa is dating a manchild who is unemployed, dropped out of college and lives in her parents shed, she also has never worked a day in her life and spent most of her time at home doing nothing. Jill got a big house handed to her for no reason, I think she did the best though, she actually did something with her life before she got married and her husband is not a loser. Josh only has a job because his parents got it for him, he barely even goes to work, and when he left home he quickly became obese as he has no self control. I expect similar levels of going out of control when the others leave too, as they have not been taught why to do things, other than to fear getting into trouble from their parents. None of them have any sense of logical thought or opinions of their own, they all parrot their parents awful and offensive opinions and do not understand that the majority of people in the world think what they are saying is disgusting and wrong, or that they are missing out on important facts because they are so uneducated.
