19 Kids & Marrying - Duggar Snark Season 9

There is just so much going on between the lines here.

Especially watch Joy's face after Jana says "she's kind..."

Would love to hear y'all's analysis. It's so blatant that I'm kind of inclined to think that TLC is turning on them a little, showing a bit more than the Duggars want them to.

Jessa refers to Ben Bob's mom as her "future mother-in-law" but this would have been filmed in May, way before Ben (supposedly) proposed. So is she just assuming? Were they engaged months ago?

They treat every courtship like it will end in marriage, so probably assuming in the sort of "I know he's going to ask and I'll say yes, he just hasn't done it yet" kind of way.

And was that JOSIAH saying, "Happy Mother's Day, Mom! Can't wait (or still waiting) for Number 20!" I think the editors are adding a bit of snark of their own!

That was Jason, I believe, although Josiah was shown in a video chat on Michelle's phone towards the end because I think he was still at ALERT at that point.

Shouldn't the Dillard's have just stayed home with their cancer-ill mother rather than ditch her to go to the Duggar house?

I agree with someone else about the subtle snark in there from Jana and others, although I especially like Hannie's "she gives us gifts on Christmas and our birthdays". It reminds me of a Victorian mother who hands her kids off to baby nurses and then checks on them throughout the year.

Sadly, that's exactly what she is doing. Except that she doesn't hand her kids off to nurses, but her daughters. Who are stuck taking care of them, while she herself drops in once in a while when it's a special occasion, or TLC is there.

Mothers day at the Duggars should be about the J'Slaves, and not about J'Chelle, since they are the real mothers of the younger ones.

I wonder if the Duggar kids at least the little girls say or do something for them and just don't tell Michelle. I mean most of them think their sisters are their moms anyways.

Holy crap on a cracker!! That was a hoot and a half. Joy's facial expression at "she's kind" says it all. I'm going to guess that the Dillard boys spent the morning with their mom before heading off to the Duggars. Derrick's brother saying "they've grown on me" had me in stitches though. There's so much snark in that video.

I bet Mothers Day is Michelle's favourite holiday. A whole day to do her usual lie around and do nothing, but also people are giving her gifts and paying attention for her for absolutely no reason at all other than shooting 19 small humans out of her vagina and then ignoring them.

I just realized that we could be watching this show another 20 years with everyone having milestones :?

Could be? People love weddings.

I swear after Jason said that he followed it with "I was totally kidding" but he was laughing so it was hard to hear him clearly. Even the howlers recognize the womb ain't catchin' anymore.

And Joy's face :pink-shock: :laughing-rolling:

Can't wait for number 20

Sorry but Jana and Jessa sounded so stage. Jana couldn't even think of what to say about her mom. And Derrick brother has a girlfriend without a chaperone :o

Jessa can't cook, she's not going to be a good fundie wife

Oh man...a Howler's impaled his finger, evidently...and poor Anna is useless when it happens, apparently.

I sort of like the idea of a salsa fountain...

Did anyone else notice that in her last talking head in the engagement episode that Jessa totally mocked Mullet's baby voice? I now have some hope for her.

Ugh, from the preview for the next part, looks like they're getting the close-up of gross bodily injury/fluids out of the way in the first episode!

I also noticed they didn't seem to even hint about an Anna pregnancy in the "this season" preview.

My sweet pup was diagnosed with a brain tumor in September. She passed away in my arms on Thanksgiving morning. It all happened so fast. She didn't want to eat anything the day before, but prior to that was ok. Knew it was near time and had booked an appointment to take her next week. However, she decided for me. She was only 8 and really was one of the best dogs. She never met a stranger, human or dog. Life isn't the same without her.

I made my first Granny Square! After nearly 30 years of knitting and crocheting this was a project I never did. Until now! I needed something to do with my rest of very colourful yarn and now I am very happy. I need to try different needles with my yarns but I think I found something nice for the future.
I needed only 3 different youtube videos until I found a person who explained the concept slowly and repetitive and with words I can understand. I hate when these tutorials make me feel dumb.

Someone please remind me to buy peanut butter. Seriously, I have been meaning to get some for at least three weeks, and everytime I remember, the shops are already closed!

You know what I hate most about subtle racism? The gaslighting. Stop cosplaying as a nice person and say it with your chest.

We had to put our 14 year old dachshund, Trinket, down today.  She was fine Thursday, but by mid-morning yesterday, it was apparent that something was really wrong,  She had zero energy, lost her appetite and began walking into corners.  By morning I knew it was time for her to have her final visit to the vet.  She had lost about a pound and a half recently.  RIP, Trinket!

Horrific! A 6 year old boy was murdered, and mother severly injured, in a hate crime in Chicago. Reports say they are both Palestinian Muslims and were specifically targeted because of that. Thankfully the man who did it is in custody
      This is pure evil
