Ben is in it.. they wouldn't have done that unless there was an engagement being announced, right? Derick and Anna were never really in anything until they were at least engaged. Anyone have any thoughts?

That's an odd picture. I can't tell for sure with the boys but it looks like its about in age order except it's like a photo of Derick and Jill with a string of people behind them. One guy is leaning his face in, no body, covering part of the face of the girl next to him, then a few girls down there's a full frontal shot of another girl. And the little girls at the end, what a wasted opportunity of cuteness. Josie is nearly cut out altogether.

I think it's awful too. Not just as a photographer, but just in general. Why are the little kids in the back? Are Derick and Jill going to be "front and center" this season? Why isn't Kenzie with her parents and brothers? That is really weird too.

You'd think something was up with that photo...but then it could be just because he's on the show and this isn't considered a "family" photo...who knows. But yeah M and J aren't even in it.... and it looks like (after J and A that it is the older boys, then the older girls, then the younger boys and then the younger girls....sorta weird.

I'm sure a lot of it was photoshopped together, but they did a terrible job with Josiah. His head is just floating there, and he is behind Jed and Jer, but he is older?? SO weird.

It's a bad picture if the focus is supposed to be the whole family, but if TLC is trying to say "Jill and Derrick are the stars of this new season, it's no longer the family, it's the couple", then they are making that point pretty well.

Josiah's haircut looks awful.

Plus it's weird that Ben is in it...he's not family YET. Jessa could decide to dump him, although I think she loves all the extra attention she's getting from the courtship. Still, it seems like she's more into that than Ben. It's like a cast photo!

Some of the comments from adoring fans...Gah! One person wrote about how wonderful the world would be if everyone raised their kids this way and all I could think of was: Yeah...we'd have no doctors or scientists or university professors or...what a world it would be! Funny, how these people have no problem making use of modern medicine and the expertise of the medical profession and scientists whose work has made such medical expertise possible, but don't encourage any of their kids to become doctors (and definitely not scientists!). Not even soldiers. That's what so many of these adoring fans don't get. Some go on about how the Duggars raise them to be such productive members of society. But are they? What are any of them really doing career-wise? What kind of income or life would they have without TLC $? What would be their job prospects?

Yeah, if everyone raised their kids like this it sure would be some world we'd be living in! Sorry, didn't mean to go off on a tangent, but some of those comments...Sheesh!

It's a promo for the new season... the buzz is Derrick and Jill's wedding, so of course they're the focus. :3 everyone else is just kinda... there.

That's what I thought. Or sneezing. Their faces are too blurry compared with the faces of those around them.

Maybe the deep down meaning of the picture is that JimBob and JChelle realized they don't want to parent 17 children, as well as deal with Jessa and her man-child if Jill-buddy is not there.

It's hard to tell, but when I saw that picture I thought JoyAnna looked thinner than she was looking. I could be wrong, but that skirt seems familiar, like a hand me down from the J'Slaves.

I think they put Jill and Derick in front because so much of the season will be focused on their engagement and wedding. Then it looks like they were going mostly from tallest to shortest, but Anna and Ben had to be squeezed in with their significant others, along with two of the M kids. And I agree that poor Josiah just got badly photoshopped in, but I guess that's what happens when you've been banished to ALERT for the last how long now? Year? Definitely a really odd picture.
