Evolution Linked To Satan, Racism, Homosexuality, Atheism,

no this is not a stupid preacher but a school teacher.

Parents and students are livid that a biology teacher at Grady High School in Atlanta, Georgia taught her classes that evolution is evil and creationism is good.

When students walked into their science class last spring, they expected biology teacher Anquinette Jones to educate them about accepted scientific facts. But that was not the case this time. Jones showed the class a 50+ slide PowerPoint presentation comparing evolution and creationism. According to the school newspaper, The Southerner:

“A PowerPoint shown to a freshman biology class featured a cartoon depicting dueling castles, one labeled “Creation (Christ)†and the other labeled “Evolution (Satan).†Balloons attached to the evolution castle were labeled euthanasia, homosexuality, pornography, divorce, racism and abortion.â€

Yes, because goodness knows racism, abortion, pornography, and divorce never existed before Darwin published Origin of Species.

Nor do they exist within Christian circles.

Oh, and I almost forgot how Charles Darwin turned everybody gay...

Also, in that cartoon it really does look like the Christians are the aggressors and the "satanists" are just trying to defend themselves.

It looks like the Christians are in a bit of trouble. Their castle is wobbling and their aim seems a bit off (note cannon firing in wrong direction).

right they have a pea shooter evolutionists have a cannon. seems pretty realistic to me. hate to tell her this but Christianity was what got satanism going. this is a very poorly educated teacher and I doubt she is qualified for gym class.

Wait, what are you telling me? Are you saying the past wasn't all perfect, that men weren't nice gentlemen and ladies weren't wholesome and pure?

The Christians look drunk. :)

Glad to hear that parents were upset about this. Hopefully they can put enough presure on the school board to remove this "teacher" from the classroom. According to a former student, she repeatedly refused to teach evolution. This lesson plan was probably the most "in your face" event, but I have to imagine there were other, more subtle attempts to push her views.

Seems like congress in that they get anti science people in charge of the science committees. Why would they put an anti Science teacher in a science class

That takes me back. It's from Answers in Genesis, and a classic at that. AiG used to have a sort of program/curriculum thing that they would lend out/give away to public school teachers who wanted to use it in their classrooms, but I can't find anything like it on their website now. This was a long time ago, I was maybe 7 or 8 at the time, but I remember they would promote it in some of their magazines and at the ends of videos, asking for donations to help cover the costs. I wonder if her powerpoint came straight from them or if she put it together herself.

I seem to remember seeing that exact slide in an AIG presentation by Ken Ham many years ago.

Oh, FFS.

Darwin was a Christian. A pretty fundy Christian, actually. He could have published his findings on evolution years earlier, but he held back because he was afraid of offending the chruch. In the end, the reason he published it was because he found out another scientist had made similar findings and was on the brink of publishing them.

Darwin was one of you, you blithering idiots.

Also, if that had happened in my biology class I'd have walked out.

I was raised very conservative christian, I'm not quite ready to say I'm an atheist but stupid people like this teacher are what started me in the direction I'm in.
