you can't beat that into conservative heads. even when they are poor themselves. So all the red states are lazy conservatives? since they suck more tax dollars then blue states do.

Interestingly enough, Rolling Stone reporter Matt Taibbi discusses the hatred we have for the weak and the poor in this country.

I'm a big fan of Mr. Taibbi, and I do think he has a point. I've spent some time in the poverty trenches it sucks. Now most people showed me a great deal of empathy. They know I'm intelligent, educated, hard-working, frugal and resourceful. I had fallen on some hard times like so many of my fellow citizens.

However, I did have a few people accuse me of lying about having a college degree, called me stupid and lazy, accused me of being an amoral slut, etc. These people weren't exactly more numerous; they were just more vocal and mean-spirited.

And I totally want to read Mr. Taibbi's new book and write a review for my blog:
