I think the WIC info came from her FB page. It used to be public or she used to friend random strangers or something like that. I don't know her last name, so I have never looked her up on FB, but I think people who did know used to keep track of her through fb too.

The WIC info came from someone who is a facebook friend of her's. I guess she talked about going to apply and being approved. I don't mind people using it when they need it, but I also expect people not to intentionally make a bad situation worse by adding more children when they aren't capable of providing the necessities for the children they have.

That. WIC and other services exist to help people in need and who fall on hard times. It is not there to provide for the 'blessings' given by god without providing for them. When you need WIC, god is not providing. So, maybe you could stop working so hard for him to reward with you 'blessings', or better yet, prevent any more blessings that neither you nor your god can take care of.

It's one thing if a family of ten falls on hard times and uses social services to survive the hard times. It's another thing when a family of ten with another blessing on the way relies on WIC and social services.

Newsflash. Government aid does not equal god.

I'm a tax and spend socialist. I think everyone should have a safety net.

What gets me about these fundys is they are so freekin' antigoverment some don't even get birth certificates for their kids. But when its time to suck up to the public trough because they have another blessing coming and their patriarch can't provide the come running with their hand out. WTH why don't their fellow fundies help them? Are they too friggin busy making family cloth?

I'm retired, my income is fixed, but I'd gladly pay for her abortion if it isn't too late.

That really gets me, the hypocrisy. If one of the Other takes government aid, they are a sinful mooching parasite. If one of the Chosen Ones does it, they have been led by the Lord etc so it's alright.

It's like a phenomenon I've seen on UK news sites. People say things like "I had to leave the UK due to the flood of immigrants" then list their location as...Prague. Or Spain. Or Thailand. Or Australia.

But they aren't immigrants. Oh no.
