I loved that movie! At the time I was 15 and going through leaving Adventism (but not Christianity, just certain parts of it, the conservative parts) and I identified extremely with the main character.

My main gripe about the movie was how thin the main character was at 9 months pregnant. She didn't look pregnant at all, and yet her water broke that night.

I love that movie. It speaks very well about the Christian hypocrisy that we see around us.

When I went for neck surgery in 2009, I realized something while in the Beverly Hills/ West Hollywood Los Angeles area. I realized that all those sicko shows like The Simpsons, South Park and movies like SAVED are not just the product of someone's sick mind; but rather, they are the outflow of an entire community of fruitcakes—vile heathens that hate God, love-sin and are completely devoid of Biblical Christianity. That is why California is infamous for more weirdoes, cults and Christ-rejecters than anywhere else in America. They are Godless. While I was there I saw fortune tellers, psychics and astrologers all over the place. The whole area is saturated with demonism.

More than ever I feel that if getting to heaven means having to believe what these folks believe I'd rather stay with the sinners. Do you think they have any idea how incredibly off-putting their rants are to the average person?

This is one of my favorite movies ever. Jena Malone played innocent teenagers for a long time, which is why I didn't recognize her in Sucker Punch or Catching Fire. "Well Caesar, I'm pissed off!" *long string of swearing*

It is also one of my favorite movies that pokes fun at religion. Another movie that does good job poking fun at religion in a black comedy way is Drop Dead Gorgeous.

I had no idea Macaulay Culkin and Marilyn Manson were such good friends. I'm pretty sure she's confusing Marilyn Manson and Michael Jackson. This is a GREAT movie, by the way!

Before reading the article I thought they were condemning her for Tangled because the daughter dares to dream outside the house.

I loved Saved. I felt like I understood the characters as I "knew" them in my own conservative religious high school. The music in that movie was great.
