Bethany Lindvall got married - Hope for Poor Sarah!

Bethany Lindvall or the Lindvall family is not very often featured here on FJ , mainly because their high times of crazy are already faded and took mostly place in the 90´s (quick info: Jonathan Lindvall strongly advertised his creepy/rapey idea of Biblical Betrothal and his daughter Bethany wasn´t allowed to gain a driver´s licence bec. her future husband should decide that for her (FJ link with the quote)).

I took some interest in Bethany, because in her (now abadoned) blog, she seemed so out of space and outright sweet at the same time - she´s a fascinating personality. also, I always considered her fate as particular sad. She was like the "forgotten original SAHD".

Well, however - she now got married! You could find her wedding pictures on Jonathan Lindvall´s facebook and they look outright happy. Dress choice is great by my book too. Nothing of the forced überüber-modest kind with 5 T-Shirts and a wool poncho underneath. I wonder if she´s gone fundie lite somehow? And HOPEFULLY her husband is a nice fundie-lite guy now encourages! (no, not "allows"!) her to get a driver´s licence at last and gifts her a nice Beetle or something :lol:

! How old is Bethany? Late 30's? I was reading some posts from her father and even still, as a woman in her late 30's, her now husband had to express her interest, court/betroth her and her father mentioned some promise as a 12 year old she had made to remain pure. Ugh, I hate how these women get so brainwashed that they hold to something they made as a child ( and don't even understand) and that they are controlled well into adulthood. I wish her babies ( since I am sure she knows her "purpose", freedom and love. She had a look of relief on her face in one of the pictures....maybe she will not pass on this theology to her own children.

Bethany has five brothers and I believe two of the brothers are married. Her parents have been married for 38 years, so I figure that she can only be 37 at most. I hope she is able to have a child or even several children.

It looks like her new husband, Chris, is only 31. Even if he is five or so years younger than Bethany, he will be the "leader" in everything they do so I think that his upbringing will be the deciding factor in how they bring up their children. I think it is possible that as Bethany got older, her father got worried enough to eventually hand her off to a family whose standards were not as strict as his and who could even be considered fundy lite.

Chris needs to have an ear tuck like Bing Crosby did. Kinda dorky looking but I agree with the comments here that she looks very happy and that dress is gorgeous. Real dress shoes too -- no flip flops or cowboy boots.

Fire in the Night is a residential internship joined to the NightWatch, the faithful musicians and intercessors who lead the watch on the wall of intercession between the hours of midnight and 6:00am.

For too long the night has been infamous for spiritual darkness. We believe that the night belongs to the Lord. While most people are sleeping and while many deeds of darkness are committed, Fire in the Night interns cry out in prayer for justice and revival to break in on the earth, and are involved in outreaches and ministering to others in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Each 3 month track runs about 2000 bucks.

Two tracks are offered, but unless the goal is to become a staff member at IHOPKC, Track II is not obligatory. Track I is an introduction to the foundational teachings of the faith. Track II continues along the same themes but with deeper study and more ministry experience.

Interns who successfully complete both tracks of Fire in the Night may apply for ministry staff at IHOPKC or apply their internship as credit toward the first semester of any school of IHOPU.

Whoever said she was getting a normal life may have been just wishful thinking. IHOP koolaid is pretty noxious stuff.

The internship focuses on "intimacy" per this video. They find a tenderness and a secret place.

toss in some exgay, sex cult, murder stuff that were part of the group for a while and you get all kinds of fun!
