Sunshine Mary offers advice on how not to raise fags

You see, if you follow her advice you can ensure that your son won't grow up to be gay or a skinny jean-wearing metrosexual.

Men become fops and fags because their mothers raise them in “helicopter†fashion; their fathers are either not involved in their upbringing or themselves are beaten down fey wimps; they spend all their time around girls or in coed groups; and they’re severely and harshly penalized everywhere for being male or masculine.

I’d suggest the following to combat this:

1. Men should raise boys. In the event of divorce, there should be a rebuttable presumption of paternal residential custody, at least for sons.

2. As Junior gets to about age 8 or 9 (cub scout age), Mom should step way, way back and let Dad raise, teach, train, admonish and discipline Junior. Mom is not allowed to coach, interfere with, or second-guess the training and discipline. Mom is not an appellate court to review and reverse Dad’s decisions about discipline or anything else when it comes to Junior. Dad handles it with Junior, and that’s the end of it, even if Mom thinks Dad is wrong; and even if Dad IS wrong.

Of course your son will need lots of exposure to alpha males and protection from laws that prevent him from acting out his inborn alpha behavior:

3. There should be a return of “male only†and “men only†spaces for teen boys and for men. No girls at the cub scout pack meeting. No girls in the Boy Scouts. No gay teens in the boy scouts; and no gay Scoutmasters or gay adult volunteers. No female Scoutmasters either. No coed physical education in junior high or high school. A return of “male only†spaces for things like bars, taverns, smoking clubs, private clubs, athletic clubs, etc.

4. Wholesale elimination of ridiculous sex harassment policies. Sometimes guys do things that make girls uncomfortable. It’s one thing if guys are pinching you and chasing you around their desks, or threatening to fire you if you won’t sleep with them. But it’s time to bring this all back to the realm of reasonableness. Ladies, if you’re even halfway decent looking and unmarried, and you want to work around a bunch of men, you’re going to have to deal with some unwanted sexual attention and discomfort.

Fop I think is actually an old fashioned term. Used kind of like dandy. It just means a guy who is really into his appearance, with some implications of being shallow or a bit of an airhead.

I was disgusted by that whole piece, but it also showed that SSM is a fucking idiot about certain things. The stuff on fops and fags was stupid as well as the list of fops which included a fictional character who never seemed to fit SSM's idea of a fop.

Well, then. My cousin is in a crapload of trouble. Her son, an only child, who just turned 13, is a Boy Scout. She's been involved in his scouting since the day he joined when he was seven or so. She's a den leader or whatever they're called and goes on all their camping trips and other activities. As well, she's a serious contender for 'helicopter mom of the year' in all other aspects of his upbringing. Her husband is sort of involved, but not with nearly the same intensity. The men in her world must be very fragile creatures who must be protected like a delicate flower from turning into a girl. Is it that hard to become the sex that you were born as?

Also, fundies seem very terrified of video games. How does playing shoot em up games make someone feminine? I know soldiers who have served time in either Iraq or Afghanistan who like to relax by playing video games. Is going into a war zone not heroic enough for Mary? Of course, some soldiers are gay or female or single parents(or a combination of any of those three) so she would probably consider them feminine.

Their ignorance is showing. Barack Obama was raised by two surrogate parents -- his maternal grandparents. He had a father figure in his life from birth. Bill Clinton had a stepdad. What I think both men have in common, is that they are empathetic. In Lori and SSM's world that makes them weak.

So, in order to not turn your son gay, you must let the man raise the boy with no female input and you must surround him with other males. Does that work for daughters as well? If you don't want your daughter to be a lesbian, then the father must step back and not interfere with the raising of said daughters by his feminine wife?
