The daughter of a woman I know is sick as a dog right now but won't go to the doctor because she doesn't have the money. The woman put this on facebook asking for prayers for her daughter. I commented on the facebook post asking her daughter if she looked into affordable health care. The daughter commented back that she would rather die than "get government insurance." :cray-cray:

That woman is fast approaching a darwin award. Rather die than get affordable healthcare? Are you mother fucking kidding me?

But would her famliy rather she died than go to the doctor? Of course, I have insurance and the price our small company has paid the last few years, while ever increasing, gives us a very high deductible and a major copay with everything. Even with ACA insurance, she'd have to have enough for her share of costs...

I asked her why but she didn't answer. Or maybe she did answer and her mother deleted it. I'm not sure which. Her mother hates Obama with a fiery passion. I'm going to clean up my facebook and will be dropping her mother anyway. It's time to clean facebook when you can't figure out how some of the people ended up on your page in the first place.

Perhaps its time to tell her that some doctors offices offer financing for patients without insurance. Thats how I afforded the doctor when I was unemployed.

That's a really great point. There's no way I'd have a pedophile over to my house, kids or no kids.

It'd be great for the daughter to get some friends. Preferably ones that can give her emotional support to move out. But, I also hope that she realizes that calling people out on social media (or at ALL) about not being invited somewhere leads to fewer invitations, more secrecy (ie, being blocked from friends lists, etc.) rather than the opposite.
